ՏԷՐՈՒՆԱԿԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Օրհնեալ Տէր մեր Յիսուս Քրիստոս. ամէն: Հայր մեր, որ յերկինս ես, սուրբ եղիցի անուն քո: Եկեսցէ արքայութիւն քո, եղիցին կամք քո որպէս յերկինս եւ յերկրի: Զհաց մեր հանապազորդ տուր մեզ այսօր, եւ թող մեզ զպարտիս մեր, որպէս եւ մեք թողումք մերոց պարտապանաց: Եւ մի տանիր զմեզ ի փորձութիւն, այլ փրկեա զմեզ ի չարէ: Զի քո է արքայութիւն եւ զօրութիւն եւ փառք յաւիտեանս. ամէն։ ԸՆԹԵՐՑՈՒՄ ՄԱՏԵԱՆ ՈՂԲԵՐԳՈՒԹԵՆԷՆ (ՆԱՐԵԿ) ԲԱՆ ԿԷ ՍՐՏԻ ԽՈՐՔԵՐԻՑ ԽՈՍՔ ԱՍՏԾՈՅ ՀԵՏ Ա Եւ սակայն Քրիստոս Աստծոյ իրաւունքի խօսքը արդարացի է յոյժ իմ նկատմամբ, Քան սատանայի, որ սկզբնահայրն է չարիքների. Քանզի յայտնուեց նա նրա համար, որպէսզի քանդի գործերը նրա, Իսկ ինձ համար, որպէսզի իմ հնացած պատկերը նորոգի Աստծոյ կերպարանքով, Առնելով մեր իսկ նմանութիւնը կատարելապէս Եւ միացնելով իր բնութեանը խառնուածքը մեր: Բազում շնորհներից ոչինչ չտուեց նա սատանային, Այնինչ ինձ վրայ հեղեց առատօրէն. Նրա համար երբէք չչարչարուեց, Իսկ ինձ համար զոհւում է նա հանապազ. 2
Սատանան անհաղորդ է կեանքին, Իսկ ես փրկութիւն եմ վայելում միշտ. Նա հալածուած է խաչով, Իսկ ես զօրացած եմ այդ նո՛յն նշանով. Նա մերժուած է լոյսից, Իսկ ես միացած եմ նրա փառքի հետ. Նրան երկրի վրայ անգամ հանգիստ չխոստացաւ, Իսկ ինձ երկինքը տուեց սեփականութիւն. Կտրեց նրա յոյսի առհաւատչեան, Եւ իմը հաստատեց առանց խզելու. Նրան խոզերի երամակում արգելափակեց, Եւ իմ մէջ ի՛նքը զօրացաւ. Կարիճների հետ համեմատեց նրան, Եւ ինձ ճառագայթ յայտարարեց. Սողունների նմանեցրեց նրան, Եւ ինձ իր անունով կնքեց: Բ Իսկ ես լքեցի երախտիքն այսքան բարիքներ անող Աստծոյ Եւ չարին հետեւեցի` նրա հետ մէկտեղ դժոխքի յատակը հայելու համար: Ուստի արժան եմ բարիքների ապերախտս անշնորհակալ եւ անընդունակ սիրո, Մեղքի պարանով եմ ձգուած` երիկամունքիցս խոցուած խորապէս. Ճիւղակոտոր ծառ եմ արմաւենու, Քացախացած գինի, հեղեղուած ցորեն, Ջնջուած մուրհակ, պատռուած վճիռ, աղաւաղուած կնիք, Ձեւ այլափոխուած, վերարկու կիզուած, կորած ըմպանակ, Ընկղմուած նաւ, մանրուած մարգարիտ, սուզուած անգին քար, Տունկ եմ գոսացած, նեցուկ խորտակուած, փայտ իսպառ փտած, 3
Խամրած մանրագոր, փլատակուած տուն, խարխլուած խորան, Բոյս արմատախիլ, ձէթ` թափուած աղբոտ հրապարակում, Մոխրակոյտերի վրայ հոսած կաթ, Քաջերի գնդում մահապարտ եմ մի: Գ Զի անձն իմ ողբալի, Բաբելոնի առակի համաձայն` մարգարէներից ասուած` Երուսաղէմի հետ եւ նրա նման յորդոր լսեց միշտ եւ չխրատուեց: Պատճառն ա՛յն է, որ այստեղ անգոսնուած եմ, այնտեղ` խայտառակուած, Այստեղ պարսաւուած եւ այնտեղ կշտամբուած, Այստեղ ծաղրուած եւ այնտեղ նախատուած, Այստեղ անարգուած եւ այնտեղ յանդիմանուած, Այս կողմը ապշած եւ այն կողմը` լքուած, Այստեղ հեծութիւն, այնտեղ հառաչանք, Այստեղ կասկածներ եւ այնտեղ վախճան, Այստեղ վախ ու վիշտ եւ այնտեղ հատուցում, Այստեղ արկածներ եւ այնտեղ դատաստան, Ուր ո՛չ խօսելու իրաւունք կա եւ ո՛չ պաղատելու, Ո՛չ օրերը թիւ ունեն եւ ո՛չ ժամանակը վախճան, Ո՛չ յոյսի կամուրջ եւ ո՛չ ողորմութեան դուռ, Ո՛չ աջ պաշտպանող եւ ո՛չ օգնող ձեռք: Դ Սակայն ապաւէն ես դու, դու ինքդ փրկութիւն, Դո՛ւ այցելութիւն, դու քաւութիւն, դու երանութիւն, Դո՛ւ ես բժշկում, դու ես ողորմում, միա՜յնդ հզօր, Կենդանի անճառ, Տէր Յիսուս Քրիստոս բարերար Աստուած, Օրհնեա՜լ, օրհնեա՜լ եւ դարձեալ օրհնեալ, Յաւէտ բարձրացած քո սուրբ Հոգու հետ 4

Ամէն: ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆ ԸՍՏ ՂՈՒԿԱՍՈՒ 7: 1-10 Երբ լմնցուց իր բոլոր խօսքերը ժողովուրդին ականջներուն ըսելը՝ մտաւ Կափառնայում: Հարիւրապետի մը ծառան, որ սիրելի էր իրեն, ծանրօրէն հիւանդացած ըլլալով՝ վախճանելու մօտ էր: Երբ լսեց Յիսուսի մասին, Հրեաներէն քանի մը երէցներ ղրկելով՝ թախանձեց անոր, որ գայ եւ ապրեցնէ իր ստրուկը: Անոնք ալ եկան Յիսուսի, փութաջանութեամբ կ՚աղաչէին անոր ու կ՚ըսէին. «Ան՝ որուն պիտի ընես այս շնորհքը՝ արժանի է, որովհետեւ կը սիրէ մեր ազգը, եւ ի՛նք կառուցանեց ժողովարանը մեզի համար»: Յիսուս գնաց անոնց հետ, ու երբ տունէն շատ հեռու չէր, հարիւրապետը քանի մը բարեկամներ ղրկեց եւ ըսաւ անոր. «Տէ՛ր, մի՛ անհանգստանար, որովհետեւ ես արժանի չեմ որ դուն մտնես իմ յարկիս տակ. ուստի ես ալ արժանի չնկատեցի զիս՝ գալու քեզի. հապա ըսէ՛ խօսք մը՝՝, ու ծառաս պիտի բժշկուի: Որովհետեւ ես ալ իշխանութեան տակ դրուած մարդ մըն եմ, եւ զինուորներ ունիմ իմ հրամանիս տակ: Ասոր կ՚ըսեմ. “Գնա՛”, ու կ՚եր-թայ. եւ միւսին. “Եկո՛ւր”, ու կու գայ. եւ ստրու5
կիս. “Ըրէ՛ այս բանը ”, ու կ՚ընէ»: Յիսուս լսելով ասիկա՝ զարմացաւ անոր վրայ, եւ դառնալով իրեն հետեւող բազմութեան՝ ըսաւ. «Ձեզի կը յայտարարեմ թէ Իսրայէլի մէջ անգամ ես չգտայ ա՛յսչափ մեծ հաւատք»: Պատգամաւորները տուն վերադարձան, եւ առողջացած գտան հիւանդ ծառան: ԲԺՇԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Փարատէ՛ ցաւերը եւ բժշկէ՛ հիւանդութիւնները քու ժողովուրդէդ, Տէր Աստուած մեր եւ բոլորին կատարեալ առողջութի՛ւն շնորհէ` Քու ամենայաղթ խաչիդ նշանով, որուն միջոցով մարդկութեան տկարութիւնը վերցուցիր եւ դատապարտեցիր մեր կեանքի եւ փրկութեան թշնամին: Դուն ես մեր կեանքն ու փրկութիւնը, բարերար եւ բազումողորմ Աստուած. միայն Դո՛ւ կրնաս ներել մեր մեղքերը եւ մեզմէ հեռացնել ախտերն ու հիւանդութիւնները. Քեզի յայտնի են մեր կարիքները: Բարիքներ պարգեւող, առատ ողորմութիւնդ պարգեւէ՛ քու արարածներուդ՝ իւրաքանչիւրին ըստ իր պէտքին, որովհետեւ արարածներուդ միջոցով միշտ կը գովաբանուի Ամենասուրբ Երրորդութիւնդ. Այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: ՔԱՐՈԶ Սուրբ Խաչով Տիրոջը աղաչենք, որպէսզի սրանով փրկէ մեզ մեղքերէն եւ Իր ողորմութեան շնորհով պահէ մեզ: Ամենակալ Տէր Աստուած մեր, ապրեցու՛ր եւ ողորմէ՛: 6

READING: FROM MADYAN VOGHPERKOUTYAN (NAREG) Prayer 67 Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart A But since your judgment, Christ God, is much more lenient toward me than toward Satan the forefather of evil, and because of him, “the Son of God was revealed among us that he might destroy the works of the devil,” whereas for me, he came to restore my worn-out image, taking our image in its essence, he united in himself the image of great God in indisputable unity. He graced Satan with none of this bounty, and upon me he poured forth everything in abundance. He did not suffer on the cross for Satan, 8
but for me he is continuously sacrificed. Satan does not partake in life, but I am eternally favored with salvation. Satan is not protected by the cross, but I am fortified by this sign. He is banished from the light, but I am joined with glory. God did not promise him peace even on earth, but he made me an owner of heaven. God cut off his guarantee of hope, but continued mine forever. God confined him to a herd of pigs, but in me God dwells more firmly. God compared him to a scorpion, and he called me the light of the world. God made him resemble a snake, but he placed the seal of his name upon me. B But I abandoned the favors of God, who created so many good things, and I gave in to my inclination toward evil, gazing downward with him at the bottom of the abyss: Look at me, I am unworthy of good, undeserving of favor, incapable of love, drawn in by the strands of sin, wounded in the depth of my inner organs, a broken palm tree, spilled wine, damp wheat, breached mortgage, ripped up verdict, counterfeit seal, deformed image, singed garment, lost goblet, sunken ship, 9
crushed pearl, buried gem, dried up plant, broken beam, rotten wood, mutilated mandrake, collapsed roof, dilapidated altar, uprooted plant, oily filth on the street, milk flowing through ash, a dead man in the battalion of the brave. C My pitiful soul, though you heard the warnings from Jerusalem and were told parables about Babylon by the prophet, you did not listen, leaving me ridiculous on the one hand, and scandalized on the other; here accused, there reprimanded; here mocked, there insulted; here scorned, there opposed; here confused, there abandoned; here weeping, there sobbing; here doubt, there finality; here grief, there chastisement; here calamity, there the court of judgment. Here I am, with no right to speak, nor opportunity to plea, where days are without number and time has no end, where there is no bridge of hope, nor door of mercy, no protecting right hand, nor helping hand extended. D But you are refuge and you yourself are salvation, you are rescue and you are pardon, you are bliss and through you is blessing and mercy, 10
O Lord, who alone is mighty, living, and beyond words. Lord Jesus Christ, God who does good, be blessed, blessed and blessed again, with your Holy Spirit exalted forever, in the glory of your great Father’s essence, forever and ever. Amen. Amen: GOSPEL ACCORDING TO LUKE: 7: 1-10 When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant 11
will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.
PRAYER FOR THE SICK Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Dispel the pain and heal the sickness of thy people, Lord our God and grant to all perfect health by the sign of thine all-conquering cross through which thou removed the weakness of mankind and condemned the enemy of our life and salvation. Thou art our life and salvation, beneficent and all merciful God, who alone can forgive us our sins and remove diseases and sickness from us, to whom are known our needs and necessities. Bestower of gifts, grant thy bounteous mercy to thy creatures according to their individual needs, through whom thy Holy Trinity is always glorified and praised, now and always and forever and ever. Amen. LITANY By the Holy Cross let us beseech the Lord, that through it he may deliver us from our sins and save us by the grace of his mercy. Almighty Lord our God, save us and have mercy upon us.
