‘The last time I went through New Orleans, the Arizona Cardinals were in town playing the New Orleans Saints. I got on the mic and said, “Hey team! The Arizona Cardinals are in town and I’m going to go to see the game. Would anyone like to join me?”

‘No joke, when I turned around the whole group had raised their hands. When we rolled up to NOLA we stopped and everyone got shirts, jerseys and face paint. After getting game ready, we rocked through the French Quarter and down Bourbon Street, where we picked up some drinks.’

Whenever we visit the Grand Canyon, we walk people from the coach parking lot –where you can’t yet see the actual canyon – to the rim with everyone blindfolded and in a line. When we get to the rim, we do a big unveiling with everyone, so they all see the canyon at the same time. Other people along the walk are really amused while we walk past them, so it’s even fun for bystanders!

‘After an epic boat trip to Spirit Island on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, we returned to the dock to be greeted by a huge bull moose standing knee-deep in the water at the lake’s edge – with three female moose nearby. They were quite happy just hanging out, which allowed us to get some great photos.’

How much money

SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

It varies! Obvs, there are loads of great souvenirs to be bought and an awesome social scene to get involved in (if that’s your thing). Heaps of your meals are also included, so this really just leaves a few meals and your personal spending to budget for.

Throughout your trip, your Trip Leader will also let you know about optional activities that you can do, such as and heli-tours over the Grand Canyon and trips to Universal Studios in LA – so keep this in mind when budgeting too!

Not only that, but lots of our trips are designed so that their departure and finish dates link together – so it’s super easy to keep the good times rolling.

WHAT’S THE AVERAGE AGE ON A TOPDECK TRIP?

Most Topdeckers tend to be in their twenties, although this can vary depending on factors like trip style and destination. All Topdeck trips are designed for 18-39 year old travellers –so as long as you’re in this age bracket, you’ll fit right in!

CAN I CHARGE MY PHONE ON THE COACH?

We have USB sockets on most coaches where you can charge your phone. #lifesaver

DO I GET ON THE COACH?

There is Wi-Fi available on most of our coaches and the vast majority of our accommodation has Wi-Fi too. If you’re super keen to be online the whole time, here’s a tip for you – get a North American SIM card and put some money on it. Job done!

COCKTAILS, MOCKTAILS, BEER OR WATER?

Your choice of beverage is completely up to you. While some passengers like to go out for a social drink, it’s not compulsory!

HOW DO SECTOR TRIPS WORK?

An example is the Southern Charm trip (New York City to Miami), which is a sector of Road Trip USA (New York to Los Angeles).

If you book onto the Southern Charm trip, you’ll start in New York City with passengers who have booked the whole Road Trip USA package – and finish when the trip gets to Miami.

The rest of the passengers on Road Trip USA will continue on until they get to Los Angeles.

CAN I SPEND AT HARRY POTTER WORLD?

Get excited, Potter fans. On your free days in Orlando or LA, you can spend as much time as you like exploring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. This one’s an optional activity though, so make sure you budget for it first!

LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?

Each person is allowed one item of standard size luggage, plus a day pack. The maximum weight of your main bag must not exceed 44lb/20kg –and the size for all bags must not exceed 70cm x 45cm x 25cm. Due to weight regulations, passengers with overweight luggage may be asked to offload the excess on the morning the trip departs (eek).

Please note that small, hard suitcases can’t be taken on board the coach – both for safety and comfort!

DO I NEED TO BE 21 TO GO ON A NORTH AMERICA TRIP?

Good news – you don’t need to be 21 to go on one of our USA trips. However, if you’re under 21, you won’t be able to participate in nights out due to US drinking regulations. In Canada, the legal drinking age varies depending on which province you’re in – so if you’re planning on travelling there, check out the local laws first.

”On this gem of a trip you can compare the Cuban eats of Miami with the Cajun flavours of New Orleans, get your dose of palm trees and Prada in LA, scratch beneath the surface of über-cool Austin and gaze up at the bright lights of Vegas.

DAY 1 LOS ANGELES TO LAS VEGAS. Start in the one and only LA, then it’s straight to Las Vegas. We’ll kick things off with a driving tour of The Strip, then it’s time to board the party bus for the hottest night on wheels. (D)

DAY 2 LAS VEGAS. Anything goes in Vegas. Today’s optional extras: go high with a heli-tour over The Strip, ride the High Roller Observation Wheel or swing by a shooting range. Just remember to save some energy for tonight – all of those casinos won’t visit themselves, you know.

DAY 3 LAS VEGAS TO GRAND CANYON REGION. From The Strip to the red stripes of the grandest of canyons. If you choose to take the chopper tour, you’ll get a 360-degree view – or you could always stay grounded and hike the rim. (D)

DAY 4 GRAND CANYON TO DURANGO VIA MONUMENT VALLEY. Hear stories from our Navajo guide on today’s Jeep tour of Monument Valley before tucking into a traditional Navajo lunch.

DAY 5 DURANGO. Ready for an adrenaline rush? Durango has some options for you. Take your pick from hiking, biking, horse riding or rafting on the Animas River. Tonight, there’s even an optional Chuckwagon Dinner Show (two words: singing cowboys). (B)

DAY 6 DURANGO TO ALBUQUERQUE VIA SANTA FE. Breaking Bad fans, rejoice: today we roll on to Heisenberg’s old stomping ground, Albuquerque. But first, we’ll make a pit stop at Santa Fe. (B)

DAY 7 ALBUQUERQUE TO AMARILLO. Time to get your graffiti on. Hit up Cadillac Ranch and go crazy with the spray paint on the way to Amarillo. Then: go supersized at the Big Texan Steakhouse. (B,D)

DAY 8 AMARILLO TO DALLAS/FORT WORTH. Step into a real life Western movie as we pay a visit to the Fort Worth Historic Stockyards. Can we get a yee haw? (B)

DAY 9 DALLAS/FORT WORTH TO AUSTIN. Today we’ll visit The Sixth Floor Museum to learn more about the history of the JFK assassination. Then, it’s off to Austin. We’ll drive you around to see the sights, then treat you to a hearty Texan BBQ dinner. (B,D)

DAY 3 BANFF NATIONAL PARK. Banff is National Geographic on steroids – all snow-capped peaks and sky-mirroring lakes. Plus, it has alllll the adrenaline-fuelled optionals, including whitewater rafting, the Sulphur Mountain Gondola and heli-tours over the Columbia Icefield. Long story short? You won’t be short of things to do here! (B)

DAY 4 BANFF NATIONAL PARK TO JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Check out Lake Louise and Lake Moraine as we do the old national park switcheroo: it’s bye-bye Banff, and hello Jasper! Get all up on the Athabasca Glacier with a Snow Coach tour, then hit the hot springs to defrost. Anyone for an optional bike ride? That’ll be a yes. (B,D)

DAY 5 JASPER NATIONAL PARK. From its wildlife-filled forests to its lakes, waterfalls and mountains, Jasper National Park is just begging to be explored – so take the option to hire a bike and see how much land you can cover. When you’re done, we’ve got an included trip to the hot springs to help soothe your muscles. Ahhhh. (B)

DAY 6 JASPER TO SUN PEAKS. You’ll have just enough time to take a selfie with a mountain goat statue and spot the moose near Moose Lake before our date with Sun Peaks. Surrounded by mountains and full of cool little shops and restaurants, this place is like a little slice of Europe in the middle of Canada. (B)

NATIONAL PARK ENTRY TO

DAY 7 SUN PEAKS TO WHISTLER. Pass through the small towns and Indigenous communities of British Columbia en route to Whistler. It’s the holy grail of ski resorts but you’ll be surprised at how much more there is to do when the snow melts. Did someone say nightlife tour? (B,D)

DAY 8 WHISTLER. Summer is the new winter in Whistler (which is so named for the whistling hoary marmot that lives here. True story). Get involved in a spot of optional ziplining – or work on your tan at the beach (seriously) with the other off-season ski bunnies. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for bears as you explore the mountains!

DAY 9 WHISTLER. On the third day, Whistler created five lakes to dip your toe in, a gondola lift to enjoy the view from, countless spas to relieve your stress (four-handed massage, anyone?) and enough cafés, boutiques and galleries to max out your credit card. Have fun, the day is yours to explore.

DAY 10 WHISTLER TO VANCOUVER. After passing Brandywine and Shannon Falls, we’ll wrap up our trip along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to Vancouver. Cue sad faces and goodbyes. Or, you could always stick together and head straight to one of the 40-plus brew houses in this craft beer capital. Just sayin’!

Explore the concrete jungle where dreams are made (hello, NYC!), brush up on politics in Washington, DC, have the pants charmed off you in the ol’ South and ride on the rollercoasters of Orlando’s theme parks.

DAY 1 NEW YORK CITY TO WASHINGTON, DC VIA PHILADELPHIA. Meet with the gang bright and early in NYC before we hit the road to Philadelphia. Top tip: try the cheesesteak. Tonight, see Washington all lit up on an illumination tour before getting to know the crew over dinner. (D)

DAY 14 BANFF NATIONAL PARK. Banff has alllll the adrenaline-fuelled optionals, including whitewater rafting, the Sulphur Mountain Gondola and heli-tours over the Columbia Icefield. And… GO! (B)

DAY 15 BANFF TO JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Today's theme? Ice, ice baby! First up, we’ll take a ride along the world's most scenic highway – the Icefields Parkway. Second, we’ll see the Columbia Icefield – the largest ice cap south of the Arctic Circle. Third, there’s an Ice Explorer tour of the Athabasca Glacier to get on board with (brrr). Defrost in Jasper tonight. (B,D)

DAY 16 JASPER NATIONAL PARK. This place is just begging to be explored – so take the option to hire a bike and see how much land you can cover. When you’re done, we’ve got an included trip to the hot springs to help soothe your muscles. Ahhhh. (B)

DAY 17 JASPER TO SUN PEAKS. You'll have just enough time to take a selfie with a mountain goat statue and spot the moose near Moose Lake before our date with Sun Peaks. (B)

DAY 18 SUN PEAKS TO WHISTLER. Whistler is the holy grail of ski resorts, but you'll be surprised at how much more there is to do when the snow melts. Did someone say nightlife tour? (B,D)

DAY 19 WHISTLER. Summer is the new winter in Whistler (which is so named for the whistling hoary

marmot that lives here. True story). Get your pulse racing with a spot of ziplining or work on your tan at the beach (seriously) with the other off-season ski bunnies.

DAY 4 QUEBEC CITY TO MONTREAL. Au revoir, Quebec – we’re swapping you out for Montreal today. Make sure you’re wearing your stretchy pants, because this place packs some seriously delicious cuisine (think: poutine). Love living life to the full? Well, so does Montreal. We think you’ll get on great. (B,D)

DAY 5 MONTREAL. Today, it’s all about you. Satisfy your inner gastronome and sample some of the city’s finest eats on an optional food tour (we recommend the St Viateur bagels), or take on the Lachine Rapids with some optional jet boating (spoiler alert: you will get wet). (B)

DAY 6 MONTREAL TO TORONTO. Set your sights on Toronto today. When we get there, we’ve got a walking tour to get involved in, so limber up.

DAY 7 TORONTO. How you spend today is your call. Want some ideas? Well, you could check out the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame or the extra pointy CN Tower. Toronto is the most culturally diverse city on the planet, so brush up on your language skills – you never know who you could meet! (B)

DAY 8 TORONTO TO DETROIT VIA NIAGARA FALLS. Never want your time in Canada to end? Well, we’ve got one last stop north of the border before we make tracks to the States, so make it count. Take in the sheer eye-popping force of the legendary Niagara Falls on a Voyage to the Falls boat tour before we hit Rock City (that’s Detroit to you and me). (B)

DAY 9 DETROIT TO CHICAGO. Hello, Chicago! We’re kicking things off in Chi-Town with a driving tour, so prep your peepers for landmarks aplenty. With the urban delights of LA, Vegas, San Fran and NYC comes the outrageously gorgeous contrast of nature’s finest: the mighty Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park. On this star-spangled trip of a lifetime, you can guarantee camera rolls will be filled and bucket list items will be crossed off.

DAY 1 LOS ANGELES TO SAN DIEGO. Say hello to your fellow Topdeckers (aka your new family) in the one and only LA. No time to dawdle, though – it’s straight up and at ‘em as we make our way to San Diego for a driving tour and included dinner. Once you’ve got your bearings, you might want to head out on an optional nightlife tour to start your trip with a bang. (D)

DAY 2 SAN DIEGO. Today's optional extra: combine your love of aircraft AND ships with a visit to the USS Midway. Want to do San Diego your way? You could always hone your craft beer vocal with a self-guided tour through the breweries and pubs of 'America's Craft Beer Capital' – or just get in on the sun and surf action along the 70 miles (112 km) of beaches. DAY 3 SAN DIEGO TO PRESCOTT. You’ll see more than a few Joshua trees (they’re the ones that look a bit like mutant cacti) as we cross the Mojave Desert to Prescott. While you’re here, soak up some of the lingering history from the notorious strip of gunslinging saloon’s that once stood on Whiskey Row. (B)

DAY 4 PRESCOTT TO GRAND CANYON REGION. You’ve seen the pictures, but nothing can prepare you for the humility that comes with standing on the precipice of something so mighty. With a visit to the Grand Canyon you can see billions of years of rock history from every angle. Prepare to have your breath taken away. (B,D)

DAY 5 GRAND CANYON REGION TO LAS VEGAS. Today, we’re Vegas bound. Kick off your stay in Sin City with a driving tour of The Strip – then when the sun sets, board our nightclub on wheels (aka the party bus). Prepare to make friends with Elvis lookalikes, roll the dice and see where the night takes you. Note: 3am pizza is totally acceptable. (B)

DAY 6 LAS VEGAS. Reach new heights with an optional heli-tour over The Strip or ride on a big

DAY 2 WHISTLER. Welcome to the holy grail of ski resorts. Whether you’re a pro-planker (skier) or complete beginner, you’ve got two days to show the slopes who’s boss. Fancy some optional skiing or snowboarding lessons? You got it. There’s also a peak-to-peak gondola with amazing views of Whistler’s soaring mountains, glaciers and forests. Visit cities old and new as we cross from the USA into Canada – calling at the red bricks of Boston, the fairytale spires of Quebec, buzzing Montreal and the foodie paradise that is Toronto.

DAY 1 NEW YORK CITY TO BOSTON. Say YES to Boston – our first stop on this epic maple-filled adventure. Get friendly with ‘Beantown’ on a driving tour before tucking into a slap-up dinner with the crew. (D)

DAY 2 BOSTON. With a free day to take on the city, you could hit a home run with an optional Fenway Park tour or roll through Boston on an optional bike ride. (B)

DAY 3 BOSTON TO QUEBEC CITY. Perched on a cliff that towers over the St Lawrence River, Quebec City is old school Europe in the middle of North America. Get goosebumpy on an optional ghost tour tonight (if you dare). (B,D)

DAY 4 QUEBEC CITY TO MONTREAL. Up and onwards to Montreal. Did we mention there’s a ‘city’ underneath this city? Yeah, you read that right. (B,D)

DAY 5 MONTREAL. Today, it’s all you. Hike up the mountain that gave Montreal its name, hit up an optional food tour (hello chocolates, vegan food and St Viateur bagels) or jump on a jet boating tour (don’t forget to hold onto your hat). (B)

DAY 6 MONTREAL TO TORONTO, ONTARIO VIA OTTAWA. A quick stop in the nation’s capital before we move on to Toronto and the breezy Lake Ontario. We’ll hit the streets on a walking tour and get to know the city a little better before we let you loose to do as you please. (B,D)

DAY 7 TORONTO. Fact: Toronto is frequently dubbed one of the happiest places in the world. Your mission today is to find out what makes this place so damn great. (B)

DAY 8 TORONTO. Cram in one last drizzle (or more?) of maple syrup. After breakfast it’s time to wrap things up, eh? (B)

Hit the beach in San Diego, get your breath taken away at the Grand Canyon and put it all on black in Las Vegas on this trip through the USA’s most awesome cities.

DAY 1 LOS ANGELES TO SAN DIEGO. After meeting the group in LA, it’s full steam ahead to our first stop: sunny San Diego. We’ll have plenty of time to get acquainted with the likes of San Diego Harbor and downtown on our city tour. Tonight, head out on an optional nightlife tour, hit up Gaslamp Quarter or seek out some stylish rooftop bars for cocktails with a view. (D)

DAY 2 SAN DIEGO. Keep today classy with a ride on a historic trolley or a jaunt through Balboa Park – or you could always get in on the sun and surf action along the city's 70 miles of beaches. You can even hop on an optional visit to the USS Midway aircraft carrier if you fancy it. (B)

DAY 3 SAN DIEGO TO PRESCOTT. Drive through the Joshua Tree-dotted landscape of the Mojave Desert to Prescott, where cowboy hats are part of the local uniform and Whiskey Row is the place to be. (B)

DAY 4 PRESCOTT TO GRAND CANYON REGION. Today is the big day. Are you ready to tick one of the seven natural wonders of the world off your bucket list? Then prepare to feel small and insignificant (in the best possible way) as we pay a visit to the one, the only… Grand Canyon. (B,D)

DAY 5 GRAND CANYON TO LAS VEGAS. Ready to go big or go home? Good. Vegas is next! Kick off your stay in Sin City with a driving tour of The Strip. Then, it’s time to hop aboard our private nightclub on wheels (aka the legendary Las Vegas party bus).

Anyone fancy hitting some more nightclubs afterwards? That’ll be a yes. (B)

DAY 6 LAS VEGAS. A free day to keep yourselves entertained. Luckily, in Vegas, there’s a roulette wheel of activities available at your doorstep. Go up, up and away on with an optional ride on the High Roller Observation Wheel, put everything on black at the casino or cash in your winnings for an optional helicopter flight over The Strip.

DAY 7 LAS VEGAS. Vegas is cheesier than a stuffed crust pizza but that’s what’s so awesome about it. Our trip ends this morning – will you put everything on the line to stay a few more days?

DAY 5 YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK TO SAN FRANCISCO. Welcome to San Fran, where the streets are almost vertical and the Painted Ladies are the

talk of the town. Get acquainted with the city on a driving tour, then round off the day with a tasty group dinner. (B,D)

DAY 6 SAN FRANCISCO. A free day to see what this cosmopolitan city has to offer. Think: seafood chowder, Lombard Street, Pier 39, Alcatraz, Chinatown and more. This evening, there’s an optional sunset catamaran cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge to go gooey-eyed over. (B)

11 DAY | MEXICO UNVEILED

Ready to take on Mexico in true Topdecker style? This trip has it all – from mysterious ancient ruins and outstanding natural beauty to swim stops, photo ops and mouth-watering cuisine. Picture this: wandering the temples of Teotihuacan, taking a dip in the sacred Cenote and seeing the amazing natural phenomenon of bioluminescence at Isla Holbox. It doesn’t get any more awe-inspiring than this!

DAY 1 MEXICO CITY. Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Mexico City! Touch down at Benito Juarez airport, check into the hostel and get ready to start the trip in style: with a beer or two at El Pasaguero, one of Mexico’s most iconic music halls. What better way to get to know your new trip mates? Here’s to an unbelievable holiday! (D)

DAY 2 MEXICO CITY (DAY TRIP TO TEOTIHUACAN). Engage explorer mode: today we’re off to Teotihuacan, the ancient ‘City of the Gods’. Fact: the oldest buildings here were constructed in around 200 BC. Take a moment to let that sink in as you stroll down the Avenue of the Dead and past the site’s pyramids and temples. Wanna take things to the next level? You could always jump on an optional Teotihuacan hot air balloon ride (goosebumps guaranteed). Archaeology = totally awesome. (B)

DAY 3 MEXICO CITY TO MÉRIDA. Next stop, Mérida – the buzzing capital of Yucatán. A city steeped in colonial history (not to mention Mayan heritage), Mérida is the perfect place to spend a day checking out beautiful architecture, hunting down street food or simply sitting back and soaking up the local culture. If you’re keen to see as much of the city as possible, there’s an optional bus tour to get on board with. Warning: this one may just fill up your camera roll. (B)

DAY 4 MÉRIDA TO PLAYA DEL CARMEN VIA CHICHEN ITZA. Time to casually swing by one of the seven new Wonders of the World (as you do). The iconic ruins of Chichen Itza are next! On today’s guided tour, you’ll tick off the likes of the Temple of Kukulkan (‘El Castillo’), the Platform of the Skulls, the Plaza of a Thousand Columns and the Sacred Cenote. Basically, everywhere you look there’s something amazing to see! When you’ve soaked up enough ancient history for one day, we’ll hit the road to Playa del Carmen. Did someone say beach? (B,L) DAY 5 PLAYA DEL CARMEN. Wake up – the white sands and blue waters of Playa del Carmen are waiting! When you get tired of lounging on the beach and splashing around in the sea, there are plenty of great bars to visit. Or, if you’re keen to escape the crowds, you could always take an optional tour of the

Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve. Here you’ll find coastal wetlands, shimmering lagoons, thousands of species of flora and fauna – and more natural beauty than you can possibly imagine. Sound good? We thought so! (B)

DAY 6 PLAYA DEL CARMEN TO TULUM. Another day, another incredible archaeological site. You could get used to this! One of the last cities built by the Mayans, Tulum is famous for its mysterious ruins, sun-soaked shores and cenote caves. After learning some must-know Tulum facts from our local guide, you’ll have some free time to spend relaxing at the beach (exploring ancient ruins is tiring work, you know). Before the day is out, we’ll have just enough time to squeeze in a swim at the otherworldly Cenote Dos Ojos. This incredible underwater cave system is a snorkeller’s paradise! (B,L)

GUIDED TOUR OF

CHICHEN ITZA

DAY 7 TULUM. You’ve got a free day to spend taking on Tulum exactly as you please. What’s it gonna be? You could top up your tan at the beach, dig into something tasty at one of the local restaurants or take some time to get to know the city a little better. Want more? Then why not try one of our optional extras? We’re talking swimming with sea turtles (majestic AF) or a visit to the awesome Coba archaeological site – where you can zipline, canoe, swim in hidden caves and take a walk through the jungle. Just… wow! (B)

DAY 8 TULUM TO ISLA HOLBOX. All aboard the boat! Today we’re moving on to Isla Holbox – a car-free island that’s best described as a little slice of heaven on Earth. Picture this: coconut trees, white sand and sparkling water. If you want to spend the day horizontal, we won’t judge. Just make sure you’re up in time for tonight’s bioluminescence tour at Punta Coco. This is where the magic happens! Thanks to this natural phenomenon, you’ll see the beach glowing neon blue. DAY 9 ISLA HOLBOX. Ready for more amazingness? Good news – today there’s a boat tour in store. As we float through the Yalahau Lagoon, you might be lucky enough to see some of the pelicans, crocodiles and dolphins that call this place home – and depending on when you’re travelling, you could even see some

flamingos! After all of that wildlife spotting, we’ll make one more stop: a beautiful freshwater spring at Yalahau that’s said to have healing powers. Don’t just sit there – go for a dip and test it out! (B)

DAY 10 ISLA HOLBOX TO CANCÚN. It’s the final full day of the trip, so prepare to go hard before you go home. The city of Cancún is our final stop – and it’s a peach of a place, if we do say so ourselves. Do the obvious and grab yourself a sun lounger, or go all-out with an optional catamaran tour to the paradisiacal Isla Mujeres. While here, you can strap on a snorkel and take a peek at the Faritos reef, go on a shopping tour AND take advantage of a delicious buffet and open bar. Don’t mind if we do… (B,D)

DAY 11 CANCÚN. Nooooo! After breakfast, it’s time to go. Adios, Mexico! It’s been one heck of a ride. (B)

DAY 3 VANCOUVER TO PORTLAND. Hello, Portland! Our first order of business is to take a spin around the city on a driving tour – so prep your peepers for leafy parks, the Willamette River and Mt Hood. (B,D)

Your contract will be with us as tour operator, unless you have booked a Locally Operated Trip, in which case your contract for tour services will be with the relevant Local Operator specified in the reference table above and will be subject to that Local Operator’s terms and conditions, in addition to the booking conditions set out below. For any Locally Operated Trip, the Local Operator will also be identified on your itinerary or travel documents and their respective terms and conditions will be available directly on their websites or by contacting them. Should we book a flight on your behalf it will be subject to the conditions of the respective airline, including but not limited to deposit/full payment and cancellation terms.

Please read all booking conditions carefully. You must not make any booking unless you understand and agree with these booking conditions and any additional terms and conditions as indicated above and/or at the time of booking.

Our trips are designed strictly for young people between the ages of 18 to 39 years (with the exception of Gap Year trips, which are restricted to people between the ages of 17 to 20 years).

Bookings can be made through your local travel agent or directly with us and must be secured with a deposit of the amount shown above. A contract between you and us (or between you and the relevant Local Operator) will exist as soon as: (i) we issue an invoice in response to your request for a booking; and (ii) your deposit is paid to us or your travel agent. If your booking is made through a travel agent, we will address all correspondence to that agent.

PRICE & PAYMENT

The deposit is non-refundable unless we cancel your trip. The balance of your trip must be paid no later than 42 days prior to your trip departure date. If you do not pay within this period we may cancel your booking and your deposit will be forfeited. Full payment is required if you make a booking within 42 days of the departure date. If your booking is a special offer we may require full payment (including any pre and post accommodation and sundry service charges) by such earlier time as specified in the offer Prices quoted in our brochures are calculated on costs and exchange rates as at the Brochure Validity Date. These prices may increase or decrease. We may alter prices and other particulars contained in our brochures and on our website at any time. Before you make a booking we will provide you with details of the current price of your chosen trip. Offered discounts are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. All discounts apply to the trip price only and do not apply to any flights, visitor taxes, adventure passes, gorilla permit, short breaks, stopovers, day trips, ski trips, gap year trips, pre & post accommodation or transfers. Only two applicable and valid discounts can be combined to a maximum discount of 15% off the trip price (note: for Asia trips, only two applicable and valid discounts can be combined to a maximum discount of 10% off the trip price).

After you have booked, changes to (i) the price of fuel; (ii) the level of taxes or fees imposed by third parties including tourist taxes, landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports; and (iii) exchange rates, mean that the price of your trip may change. There will be no change within 20 days of your departure. We will absorb any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your trip. However, we may charge you for the amount over and above that. If this results in an increase equivalent to more than 8% of the price of your trip, you will have the option of accepting a change to another trip (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value), or cancelling and receiving a full refund of all monies paid. Should the price of your trip go down due to the cost changes mentioned above, then any refund due will be paid to you. We will deduct from this refund our administrative expenses incurred. Please note that trips arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on the price of your trip due to contractual and other protection in place. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Please ensure you carefully read your invoice, tickets and all other documents we send to you as soon as you receive them and contact us or your travel agent immediately if any information appears to be incorrect. We will not accept any liability if you fail to notify us of any inaccuracy in any document within 14 days of us sending them to you or the travel agent. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the correct and valid travel documents including passports, visas and vaccination certificates. We strongly recommend that you verify current documentation requirements with your travel agent or us. Please note requirements change and you must check with your consulate for the most up to date information, including but not limited to visa requirements for the countries visited on your trip. Passports must have an expiry date of at least six months after completion of the trip.

IF YOU CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR BOOKING

If you want to change or cancel any aspect of your booking including but not limited to a change to a trip of shorter duration or different departure date you must notify us in writing. We will do our best to accommodate your requested change but it may not always be possible. We will not charge a fee for changes requested more than 42 days before departure except where we incur a cost from a supplier, in which case we will advise you of the relevant fee. All change/cancellation fees must be paid within seven days of the invoice date or on the date of departure, whichever is the sooner. You may make a request to transfer your booking to another person who satisfies all the conditions applicable to the trip. A transfer request must be made in writing not less than 7 days prior to departure and must include proof of acceptance of the transfer by the new traveller. Both you and the new traveller will remain jointly liable and responsible for the additional costs involved, which will include our Booking Transfer Administration Fee as well as any other applicable travel service provider’s charges. Please note that some airlines may refuse such requests and treat the transfer as a cancellation and rebooking.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION BY US

Every effort will be made to operate all trips as advertised but it must be remembered that our trips are planned up to eighteen months in advance. In the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances we may be required to cancel or materially modify your trip. In these booking conditions “unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances” means a situation beyond our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken (including, but not limited to, war,

threat of war, riot, civil disturbances, industrial dispute, terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or other disaster (such as volcanic ash or hurricanes), nuclear incident, fire, adverse weather conditions (actual or threatened, including snow and fog), closed or congested airports or ports, unavoidable technical problems with transport, unforeseen alterations to public transport schedules, changes to immigration, labour and free-movement laws resulting from BREXIT, rescheduling of aircraft or boats and similar events).

If this happens we will offer you a refund of all money paid or, if available, alternative travel arrangements of comparable standard (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value). A material modification is one that has a serious impact on your trip and includes a change of departure date, departure point or airport, or change of departure time of more than twelve hours, which would cause substantial inconvenience to you.

A change of accommodation, or transport method/style is not a material modification. We may alter or substitute the type or size of vehicle, or method/style of transport mentioned in the brochure, depending on the number of passengers carried, which can vary from trip to trip.

Normally the maximum group size is between 36 and 48 passengers.

In certain countries there are strict laws governing drivers’ hours and this may necessitate utilising public transport in some cities.

The minimum number of participants required for each trip is displayed on our website. In the event that insufficient bookings have been made as at 42 days prior to departure, we may cancel the scheduled trip, whereupon all money paid by you for your trip will be refunded and no further compensation will be paid.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR TOPDECK OPERATED TRIPS

If the trip does not materially comply with the description in the brochure, we may compensate you to a maximum value equal to the price of the trip. We will only be liable to pay the maximum amount of compensation where there has been a total failure of consideration for your payment.

We will not be liable where any failure in the performance or provision of your trip is due to: (i) your acts or omissions or the acts or omissions of another member in your group; (ii) any third party not connected with the provision of your travel arrangements; or (iii) unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. Our liability will in all cases be limited in accordance with and/or in an identical manner to relevant international conventions, including the Carriage by Air Conventions (within the meaning given in section 1(5) of the Carriage by Air Act 1961), the Athens Convention of 1974 on the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea and the Convention of 1980 concerning International Carriage by Rail.

We will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained by you as a result of a contravention of any law or regulation of any of the countries visited while on the trip.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR LOCALLY OPERATED TRIPS

If your trip is a Locally Operated Trip our obligation to you is to (and you expressly authorise us to) make trip bookings on your behalf with reasonable skill and care and to arrange a contract between you and the relevant Local Operator. We exercise care in the selection of reputable Local Operators but we have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to these and all other terms and conditions, including any conditions of carriage and limitations of liability imposed by the Local Operator. Your legal rights in connection with such trips are solely against the Local Operator and are not against us, except to the extent a problem is caused by fault on our part.

SEATBELTS

You must wear a seatbelt at all times whilst you are in any vehicle. Neither we nor any Local Operator will be liable for any injury, death or claim howsoever arising from any accident if you have failed to comply with this requirement.

FLEXIBILITY DURING TRIP

Your booking is accepted on the condition that you understand, and take responsibility for, the risks inherent in adventure travel. Every effort will be made to operate all trips featured in this brochure but there may be a necessity to vary the itinerary from that stated in the brochure, and delays may occur for a variety of reasons beyond our control. The need for a flexible attitude to this type of travel is important. All decisions relating to a trip itinerary will be taken by the Trip Leader, as appointed by us in the interest of the group as a whole. Please note that due to public holidays some sights or activities may not be available on a particular trip. No refund will be made for services which for whatever reason are not used by you once the trip has departed.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

Neither we nor our employees, agents and contractors make any representation or warranty in relation to implied or explicit suggestions or recommendations of services, activities and events not highlighted as included in a trip. You are responsible for all risks associated with the transportation to/from, and your participation in, or visitation to, any place, activity or excursion not listed as an inclusion. During your trip you may be offered the chance to purchase various optional excursions and activities. We do not own, operate or control any of the companies or individuals which provide the optional activities or excursions. Some of the optional activities and excursions, such as canyoning, are inherently dangerous and risky. If you want to take part in such optional activities or excursions you must be fit enough to do so and must follow all reasonable instructions. The standards of health and safety which will be adopted by the company or the individual providing the optional activity or excursion will be those of the country where the optional activity or excursion takes place. Please note that these standards may not be the same as you would find in your home country. If you wish to book any optional excursion or activity, you may do so subject to the operator’s terms and conditions. Your contract will be with the operator of the activity or excursion and will be governed by local law. We act only as their agent. We accept no liability for any act or omission of any operator or operator’s employees, agents or sub-contractors or any losses (whether direct or indirect and howsoever caused) arising therefrom.

DIETARY, HEALTH AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

You must clearly state all your dietary requirements at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee that special dietary requirements can be met and we

cannot take responsibility for any such requirements not being fulfilled.

Walking is a fundamental part of our trips. Our trips are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. If you have a medical condition or require special arrangements that may affect your trip, we ask that you inform us in writing at the time of booking. We will ask you to complete a medical assessment form to assist us. If we cannot reasonably accommodate your particular needs we may (at our absolute discretion) decline the booking or ask for you to be accompanied by a person who is able to provide full assistance to you throughout your trip.

YOUR LIABILITY TO US

You will not be permitted to embark or continue on the trip if, in the reasonable opinion of our representative, your mental or physical condition renders you incapable of caring for yourself, you become objectionable to other passengers, or you become a hazard to yourself or other passengers. Immediate termination of your trip will occur if you possess or transport illegal substances (including drugs) or where you have engaged in any illegal activity during a trip.

We will not be responsible for expenses resulting in you being precluded from completing the trip for any reason, nor will we refund you any part of your trip cost. In all cases we will notify you of the reasons why we have taken this action. We will have no obligation to arrange for your return to the point of the trip departure if your condition manifests itself after the trip departure. Further, if the trip involves travel by air, the captain of your aircraft can refuse to allow you to fly on the aircraft if he believes that you could be dangerous or disruptive to other passengers on the flight. You agree to indemnify us in full against all losses (direct and indirect and howsoever caused) arising from any third-party actions taken against us for loss or damage caused by you or arising from your participation on the trip.

INSURANCE & CLAIMS

You must take out comprehensive travel insurance before you travel on your trip. Your insurance protection must include cover for cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses, personal injury and accident, death, and loss of personal baggage and money and personal liability insurance. Evidence of such insurances must be produced to us on request and normally on day one of your trip. Insurance cover offered by credit card companies or reciprocal medical cover agreements are often not comprehensive.

If you make a claim against us you agree to assign to us or our insurers any rights to take action against any third party supplier/tour operator or any other person or party that may have been wholly or partly responsible for the claim or who we reasonably consider should be a party to the action. You must co-operate fully with us should we or our insurers wish to enforce those rights which have been assigned to us. If you make a claim against us which is covered by your insurance policy, you agree to pursue the claim through your insurer either in addition to, or in substitution for, your claim against us (if any). We agree to indemnify you in respect of reasonable expenses incurred in successfully pursuing such a claim and acknowledge that any settlement made by the insurer shall not prejudice your rights against us. TRAVEL ADVICE

We recommend that you visit your government’s travel advice website prior to the commencement of travel. In the UK, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office issues travel advice and warnings at fco.gov.uk. The Australian government provides an equivalent service at smartraveller.gov.au.

COMPLAINTS

In the event of any dissatisfaction with the accommodation or any other service provided by us, you must report it immediately to the Trip Leader so that action can be taken to remedy the problem. Failure to immediately notify the Trip Leader of any problem may result in your claim for compensation from us being denied or reduced. Any complaint made to us following the conclusion of the trip should be made in writing within 28 days of completion of the trip. In the event that you do not notify us in writing within 28 days, our ability to investigate the complaint may be prejudiced. In the UK, we can also offer you ABTA’s scheme for the resolution of disputes which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. If we can’t resolve your complaint, go to www. abta.com to use ABTA’s simple procedure. Further information on the Code and ABTA’s assistance in resolving disputes can be found on www.abta.com.

DATA PROTECTION

We are committed to protecting your personal information and agree to process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice, which is available online at www.topdeck.travel/privacy. In order to make your booking and ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly, we need to use the information you provide and pass it on to other relevant suppliers who are responsible for parts of your travel arrangements. In many cases this will include transferring your data to overseas recipients (including to recipients outside of the European Union). Personal information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by them, or as required by law.

SMOKING

We enforce a non-smoking policy on our coaches (although we make frequent stops for breaks) and in most of our accommodation.

LUGGAGE

There are strict weight limits for coaches when fully loaded. You are only entitled to have one piece of main luggage of standard size (see the pre-departure information or our website for size limits) and not weighing more than 20kg (or 15kg for Outback trips). In addition you may bring a sleeping bag, as required on specific trips, and a daypack.

PUBLISHING CONSENT

You acknowledge and agree that our future advertising and publicity material may include statements made by passengers, or their photographs, and you consent to such use of your comments or photographic/video likeness. WI-FI

We will endeavor to deliver Wi-Fi connection as stated on relevant trips to the best of our ability. This service is subject to availability and may not be available on some peak season departures or in the event of technical issues.
