Celebrating Top Women and the companies behind them
On the evening of 10 November 2022 at 6pm, the 19th annual Standard Bank Top Women Awards took place as a black tie gala dinner at Emperors Palace.
In 2014 Standard Bank of South Africa took up the platinum naming rights to the Top Women Awards; hence the official title, the Standard Bank Top Women Awards, South Africa’s leading awards platform for the advancement of women in leadership.
The Standard Bank Top Women awards honour and applaud outstanding leadership, inspiration, vision and innovation, in organisations that play a role in advancing women to the forefront of the economy. Covering all major economic sectors, and awarding businesses from SMME to national-level, fundamentally, the awards ceremony inspires young entrepreneurial women - the backbone of our future economy - to follow the lead of those who have already carved out their road to success, often during the years long before gender parity was adopted as a pressing issue on the national stage
The Standard Bank Top Women Awards have an alumni of women leaders and women-led organisations, thus motivating the pursuit of full gender parity in all spheres of our society.
This year we honoured two Top Women icons, Top Women in Business Lifetime Achiever for 2022; Gloria Serobe and the Top Women in Public Sector Lifetime Achiever for 2022; Honourable Minister, Naledi Pandor. Both of these awards are sponsored by Standard Bank.
