Carol Tshabalala is a sports broadcaster, producer, freelance reporter and voice-over artist currently working for SuperSport International and Premier League Productions.
She is often referred to as South Africa’s “First Lady of Sport,” covering football, boxing and basketball. She was the first African to host the FIFA Ballon d’Or in Zurich in 2011.
Tshabalala started her career as an apprentice on the show Sports Buzz on SABC at the age of 18. She would work for the SABC as a sports broadcaster from 2000 to 2011. She joined SuperSport International in 2011, and in 2016, joined UK’s Premier League Productions (IMG productions) as a live studio anchor. She is the current host of the show Extra Time on SuperSport.
Tshabalala’s career in radio started at Kaya FM 95.9 as a sports news journalist from 2005 to 2007. She joined Radio 2000 in 2008 as a drive-time sports show presenter and was there until 2013.

From uMlazi to the world, Linda Sikhakhane’s journey epitomises passion and grit. His unique blend of contemporary jazz and South African rhythms, honed by global education and collaborations, has set him apart. His discography, including thesoulful “Two Sides, One Mirror” and the acclaimed “An Open Dialogue”, mirrors his evolution.
With his latest album “Iladi” and new record deal with Blue Note/Universal Music Africa, he continues to weave captivating melodies, rooted in tradition yet reaching for the stars.”
Additionally, Linda’s artistry caught t he attention of the New York Times, featuring him in their esteemed “5 Minutes...” segment. This blend of critical acclaim and enthusiastic reception sets the stage for Iladi to become a landmark release in contemporary jazz.




Siya Makuzeni is a professional South African trombone player, vocalist, lyricist and songwriter; Johnnie Walker Ambassador (2019), British Council Commissioned Composer (2018), Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz 2016 recipient, as well as featuring in Grammny award artists David Murray, Jacky Terrasson and Branford Marsalis’ performances in 2016-2017.
She is also the band leader of Siya Makuzeni Sextet as well as cross-over rock band IppYFuzE. Makuzeni picked up the trombone in 1997 while attending Stirling High School in East London and studied BMus/BMusJazz at Rhodes University & the Pretoria Technikon Music School. She has since toured and performed around the globe, most notably in Italy where she contributed as co-composer and lyric interpreter to the soundtrack of Forse Dio e Malato (Maybe God is ill).






Travelling across 3 provinces, these entrepreneurs pitched their promising business models to a well rounded panel of high level thought leaders and business experts. The winners from all 3 regions were then entered into the annual Standard Bank Top Women Awards and 1 Winner will walk home this evening with the trophy and R50 000 cash prize.
