https://kitaid.net A few words about KitAid KitAid is a charity set up by, Derrick Williams MBE, who visited Tanzania on a WaterAid supporters’ trip in 1998. Derrick, being a mad footie fan, was amazed at the reception he received from children and adults in remote villages just because he was wearing one of his favourite football shirts (he follows Watford, Liverpool and Chesham Utd). After two weeks in Tanzania, a flame was lit in Derrick’s heart, and he was on a mission to provide kit and equipment to the bare-footed children playing with footballs made of tied string and plastic bags. Twenty-one years on, KitAid has lots of volunteers and to date we’ve sent out 900,000+ kits to children and adults in 55 different countries across the world.

Aylesbury Vale Dynamos History
Aylesbury Vale Dynamos FC is an amalgamation of Aylesbury FC and Bedgrove Dynamos FC, two local clubs with a rich history in local football. BEDGROVE DYNAMOS Alf Buckland, a resident of Finmere Crescent, formed Bedgrove Dynamos in 1968. It was created to fill a void in activities for boys within the Bedgrove area on the south side of Aylesbury. In 1980, Dave Bayliss became involved when he brought his Cub side to the Bedgrove Park. The teams amalgamated and Dave went on to be the chairman for 21 years, stepping down in the year 2000. Within two years and barely a full strip between them, they managed not only to win the Under 12's Aylesbury & District League (ADL) but went on to win the 13's & 14's league in consecutive years and, by which time, they now had four teams at various age groups. Over the years the club has grown and has won many tournaments and trophies, especially at county level. Many teams have toured abroad, and the club has also entertained boys from Europe and America. We can boost that we are the only boys club to have a club pennant on display in Barcelona's trophy room. At the start of the season 2001/02 the club was the largest junior club in the Aylesbury area, running teams from under 8's through to under 18's. At the end of the season 2001/02 the club managed to win the coveted Berks and Bucks Cup at under 14's, the Mayor's Cup at under 12's, represented in two other cup finals, won 3 league titles, gained 6 promotions in total and all teams finished in the top 6 to the fair play awards for their respective leagues. In the last 20 seasons across the age groups the club has won 25 divisional titles, and runners up 20 times. In 2019 two became one when the sides amalgamated with the intention of allowing the youth of the town to progress through junior football to youth and then adult football and play at the highest possible level. AYLESBURY FC / AYLESBURY VALE DYNAMOS FC The club moved to Haywood Way, their current stadium, in 1987. After gaining senior status and promotion to the Chiltern League in 1988, Stocklake enjoyed many further successes including Division One runners up in 1991, Premier Division and League Cup runners up the following season and Wycombe Senior Cup success in 1995. Cup success was also followed on in the following season, this time the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup being added to the trophy cabinet. By 1990, under the guidance of Danny Martone, Belgrave had grown to five youth teams providing football for over ninety boys from the Quarrendon and Haydon Hill areas of Aylesbury. 1996 saw the forming of two senior teams under the Belgrave FC name and by the turn of the millennium teams were represented at all levels from Under 8’s through to seniors. At the start of the 2000/2001 season, the senior Belgrave FC team was renamed Haywood United following an amalgamation with Stocklake FC with Danny Martone voted in as chairman of the new club.
Haywood United joined the Spartan South Midlands League and won promotion into Division One after two seasons. Season 2002/2003 saw a difficult start in Division One, but with the arrival of manager Jon Franklin and his assistant Keith Walker just after Christmas, the club eventually consolidated finishing in 9th place. Promotion was gained to the South Midlands Premier Division the following year after a campaign that saw 23 wins, 7 draws and only 4 losses. Haywood United proved themselves capable of staying in the Premier Division after finishing 3rd in the 2004/2005 season in a campaign that only include one loss in the twenty matches after Christmas. The club also entered the FA Cup and Vase for the first time and won the Buckingham Charity Cup in 2006. Season 2006/2007 began with Haywood United becoming Aylesbury Vale FC and saw Keith Walker and Steve Glenister take over as joint managers and steadily build a squad. This was recognised in the 2008/2009 season, under the management of Mark Eaton, with a good cup run in the FA Cup and FA Vase, winning three rounds in the FA Cup losing to Level 4 side Gosport after a replay, and losing out in the 4th round of the FA Vase to Leiston Town. May 2009 saw a major new development in a new semiprofessional side vote for a name change. Aylesbury Football Club was formed under the leadership of Chairman Roger Dance and assisted by Vice Chairman Danny Martone. Former Chairman Bill Harrison was made President of the club. Great success on the field of play was to follow, with the team having a fantastic run in the F.A. Cup. We were the last 'level five' team in the country to remain in the competition and were rewarded with a visit to Haywood Way for the F.A. Cup trophy. We were finally knocked out of the competition by Wealdstone in a close game. A brave and superb display was witnessed by a bumper crowd of 800 plus. Steve Bateman took over in 2013/14, steered the club to safety in his first 6 months in charge. Then in 2014/15 with Bateman at the helm FC has their most successful season to date. Playing at the highest level in the club’s history, the team finished third in the League, having been pushing for promotion all season and narrowly lost out in the semifinal to Bedworth United having already beaten them twice in the league. The 2015/16 finished with a flourish as the club finished just outside the play off positions but had the consolation of our first major Cup Final, beating Chesham United in the Berks & Bucks Cup at Windsor. Danny Gordon & Gareth Risbridger took the helm after Bateman resigned, supported by Paul Bonham. Davis Haule took over from Gordon & Risbridger in December 2016, appointed brother Brian as his assistant and recruited former coaches Fraser McLachlan, Aaron Wiffin and added Ryan Collings to his back-room staff for the 2017/18 season. In 2018/19 Scott Reynolds was appointed manager and when he resigned midway through the season it was left to Paul Bonham to take control but because of ground grading issues the Southern League made the decision to relegate the club and after ten seasons in the Southern League. Phil Granville and Ben Gill were appointed midway through the 2019/20 season and kicked off the 2020/21 season again in the Spartan Premier Division. Steve Bateman was re-appointed as manager in September 2021. In November 2022 Jordan King and James Green came in to steady the ship and moved the team from 18th and struggling to a respectable 13th position. They stepped down at the end of the season. We now start the 2023/24 season with Paul Batchelor at the helm, bringing Ryan Davis and Tom Bamford into the coaching team.

Alan Lee Reporting Leverstock Green 3 Sawbridgeworth Town 1 Leverstock Green FC added another three points to their tally, but it proved to be an unexpectedly tense finale to a game in which Leverstock very much dominated the possession. The outcome was in the balance until the final seconds when the third goal was scored. Visitors Sawbridgeworth Town arrived at the Lords Builders Merchants Stadium bottom of the league and without a league win, but Leverstock had to work very hard to break them down. The early stages saw the Green side with plenty of the ball, playing it around nicely, but lacking the penetration to get through a defence that was often able to stick a boot or a block in to prevent a clear-cut chance developing. Leverstock’s first clear sight of goal came in the 19th minute when a pass from Dan Pett gave Ethan Mooney a run at goal, but a block from the chasing defender took the sting out of Mooney’s shot and allowed keeper Ethan Gannon to save. There was another good chance in the 31st minute when Pett put Radu-Mihai Stefanoaica away down the right to deliver a cross which found Jayden Newman on the edge of the six-yard box. Newman had his back to goal, but managed to turn and get in a shot which took a deflection and went just wide. The resulting corner was not adequately cleared by the visitors, and in the resulting scramble Dan Weeks got the ball to Newman, and he found the net with a shot from close range to put Leverstock into a long-overdue 1-0 lead. Chances started to come more readily. On 34 minutes Stefanoaica showed some nifty footwork inside the box before laying off to Ryan Carruthers, whose shot went inches wide. Two minutes later a pass from Danny May put Stefanoaica in on goal, but he didn’t catch his shot properly and Gannon gathered. The second goal arrived in the 37th minute, but it was something of a bolt from the blue as Mooney hit a thunderbolt from distance that left Gannon standing as it flew into the net. Leverstock Green FC appeared to be in total control of the game, but in the last minute of the half, they found their lead cut in half. A pass from Kyron Mitchell put Torie Ndongala through to shoot past Josh Bowler, who had been a spectator for most of the half and reduce the half-time deficit to 2-1. There should have been a third goal within two minutes of the restart. A rare mistake from the visitors’ defence left Newman with a clear run at goal, but Gannon managed to get a faint touch to Newman’s shot and deflect it wide. The danger of only having a single-goal lead was shown in the 57th minute when Sawbridgeworth’s Wesley Santos won the ball on the halfway line and went on a run through the Leverstock defence before slotting a shot past Bowler which was only kept out by a superb sliding last-ditch clearance from Danny May. Another chance came and went in the 64th minute as Stefanoaica exchanged passes with Nat Connolly but hit the resulting shot over the bar. Four minutes later there was another huge let-off as Austin Garrod ran through the middle of the Leverstock defence before hitting a shot which went just wide. In the dying minutes Santos went on another run through the defence and went down under challenge on entering the penalty area, but the referee waved away appeals for a penalty. It wasn’t until the fourth minute of stoppage time that Leverstock Green FC finally clinched the game, with two substitutes combining as Luke Beckwith got to the bye-line and pulled the ball back for Lewis Collins, who netted from close range. The final whistle was blown soon after the restart and Leverstock had their three points, but Sawbridgeworth deserve huge credit for a battling performance throughout and may be considered unlucky to get nothing from the game. Decades of collective travel experience flow within our company team, founded in 2013 by Sean Fletcher as a solo venture we have now grown to a formidable team creating amazing holidays for clients from all over the UK. Since inception we have grown at an exceptional rate, winning some top accolades along the way and most notably UK Independent Agent of the Year 2016. From humble beginnings in a home office, we now have our main team based in Harpenden, just off the High Street in a lounge style office, with our Associate Team Members working remotely in Kent, Bedford, Abbots Langley & Wales. Move On – Providing support for The Elms residents into more independent living in shared accommodation. Resettlement – Supporting clients moving from The Elms or Move On into council, social housing or private rental. Foodbank – Providing emergency food parcels and household provisions to local individuals and families. In the Community – Supporting people in the community during this cost-of-living crisis and helping reduce the need to visit our Foodbank. Development & U18’s Team News Leverstock Green Development were involved in another goal-filled game on Saturday, scoring four times but losing 6-4 away to London Lions Development. They fought back from 2-0 down to level at 2-2, but the home side re-established their lead and went on to win the game depite two late goals from the Leverstock team. Scorers were Luc Dischamps 2, Martin Kirov and Morgan Grout
Leverstock Green’s under-18s were unable to follow up on their previous two games, which produced six points and nine goals, as they fell to a home defeat against Winslow United on Thursday side. Jamie McIntosh gave Leverstock a 1-0 lead from the penalty spot in the 13th minute, but Winslow equalised three minutes later and took the lead in first half stoppage time. Winslow added two further goals in the second half and continued their perfect start with three wins from three games. The Under-18s were beaten 2-1 at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos in Thursday night’s SCFYL Corinthian Division fixture. An own goal put the home side in front before Callum Moore equalised before the break. However Dynamos regained the lead early in the second half and held onto it. Callum Moore was our goal scorer.
