DEAR WESTFIELD CHAMBER MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS,
Westfield continues to grow with purpose, and 2025 was a strong example of what happens when a community is intentional about where it is headed. Our city’s focus on thoughtful development, strong neighborhoods, and a resilient local economy is reflected every day in the work of our businesses and the collaboration that defines the Westfield Chamber of Commerce.
Over the past year, the Chamber remained focused on its role as connector, advocate, and partner in growth. We welcomed new businesses, supported expansions, strengthened relationships with civic and community leaders, and created opportunities for meaningful engagement across our membership. From professional development and networking to celebrating milestones and championing local success, the Chamber continued to help turn planning into progress. As our community evolves, so does the way we support it. In 2025, collaboration was more than a goal. It was how work got done.
Businesses, educators, city leadership, and nonprofits came together to help ensure Westfield’s growth remains sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with the long term vision for our city. And yes, this also required patience at times, especially when growth showed up in the form of orange barrels strategically placed for maximum impact. Progress is not always quiet, but it is worth it.
Looking ahead to 2026, there is real excitement about what comes next. Continued investment, smart planning, and a shared commitment to quality of life create enormous opportunity for the business community.
The Chamber will stay focused on delivering value for members, supporting workforce and talent development, and ensuring that Westfield remains a place where businesses can grow with confidence and people want to live, work, and stay.
I am grateful for the leadership, volunteerism, and engagement that make this organization effective and welcoming. The strength of the Chamber is not found in a document or a directory. It is found in the people who show up, contribute ideas, and work together toward something bigger than any one organization.
Thank you for your continued trust in the Westfield Chamber of Commerce and for the role you play in our shared success. It is an honor to serve as Chairman, and I look forward to another year of progress, partnership, and
All the best,

Working Together
to build a strong westfield economy
BUSINESS LEADERS,
Local businesses are the heartbeat of our community. They serve as hubs for innovation, create meaningful jobs that allow people to live and work in the community they love, and forge the connections that make Westfield the incredible place we’re proud to call home.
Before proudly serving our fine community as Mayor, I ran two small businesses of my own. Because of that experience, I have a deep appreciation for the grit, determination, and long nights it takes to build a successful business.
As Mayor, I am committed to fostering an environment where business owners and entrepreneurs feel welcomed, supported, and positioned for success. Our team works every day to ensure the City of Westfield is a place where businesses of all sizes can grow. We accomplish this through thoughtful policies, strong partnerships, continued investment in infrastructure, and by helping business owners access the resources they need to succeed.
Our incredible Chamber of Commerce has designed this guide to connect you with those resources and help you navigate available opportunities and partnerships within our community. I encourage you to take full advantage of what’s included and connect with your peers. My office door is always open should you have questions or need assistance.
Your success strengthens Westfield as a whole. I look forward to working together to build a stronger, more vibrant Westfield.
In service,
Mayor Scott Willis

STUDENT POWERED
SHAMROCK STATION CONNECTS STUDENTS WITH REAL-WORLD LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Shamrock Station is a recent addition to Westfield Washington Schools’ outreach to the community. Formerly the location of the Westfield Washington Public Library, the site on Hoover Street is situated between Westfield High School and Westfield Middle School. Besides being the district’s event center, it houses programs and educational opportunities with the goal of making students life-ready upon graduation.
The event space and commercial catering kitchens are the focal point of Shamrock Station. However, in addition to the location of senior-level courses in the culinary arts pathway, it is the home of Foodies Rock, a student-led food service and catering operation; Rocks Media House, the district’s face to the community via content creation; and Shamrock Connections, a program teaching life and vocational skills to students ages 18 to 22. It also has a spot for a hydroponic garden and a future spirit wear shop.
Nikki Heflin is a culinary arts instructor and the lead content specialist for family and consumer science classes. She had been an adviser to Foodies Rock since it was initiated in 2017. According to Heflin, Shamrock Station is unique in the

opportunities it opens for students.
“No one else in the state has a model like this. Our district saw a need and worked with the city to acquire the building. The culinary program is growing leaps and bounds. Foodies Rock has become a mainstay in the community, catering events for Mayor Scott Willis, Westfield Library Foundation and Women of Westfield, among others. It caters in surrounding suburbs and even worked an event at the Indiana Statehouse where students got to meet the governor,” Heflin says.
“We needed an event space to teach working the front of the house as well as the back. The off-premises catering will continue, but we have added this on top. The culinary courses taught at Shamrock Station are part of a four-year scaffolding program that covers basics to internship. In partnership with Ivy Tech Community College, students can graduate with 19 college credits and four different certifications. Upon graduation, they can go straight into the industry, work in the community or go to higher learning institutions such as Purdue University or the Culinary Institute of America,” Heflin says.
There is a spirit of support and collaboration
among all the educational programs at Shamrock Station. Shamrock Connections students can use a kitchen, take a culinary class and help with setup duties for events. They also helped unpack boxes when Shamrock Station opened in fall 2025. Rocks Media House is available for hire to document events by shooting videos and taking photos.
Award-winning Foodies Rock began as an after-school academic club, but today is available to cater events both off-site and in the event space within Shamrock Station. As the event coordinator, Heflin works with businesses, community organizations or individuals to book and plan the event. She shares menus and tailors the specifications for each gathering.
“The biggest goal of Shamrock Station is to allow students the opportunity to fully connect with the community. It highlights Hoosier hospitality as well as the different employment pathways that can be taken. It is so enjoyable and rewarding to see students work in our community or go on to higher education,” Heflin says.
For catering or events, contact Foodies Rock at 317-867-6842 or email Heflinn@ wws.k12.in.us.

THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS
WESTFIELD FLOWER BOX SHOWCASES LOCAL GROWERS WHILE BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER
Writer / Julie Yates
The motto of Westfield Flower Box, “Thoughtful blooms for thoughtful people,” sums up the essence of the business. Located at 210 E. Main St. in Westfield, its focus is on providing premium flowers from local growers as well as suppliers that care about sustainability and fair practices. It also promotes a sense of community through workshops and events held in its event space as well as off-site.
“I source from farmers in Cicero all the way down to Bloomington whenever possible. Local flowers last much longer. If needed, I obtain flowers from sustainable growers in places such as California or out of the country. I do research. I am mindful about workers getting paid fair wages and growing practices such as spraying flowers,” says Westfield Flower Box owner Carmella Thatcher.
Thatcher left her job in customer service for an HVAC company to pursue her love of art and flowers. For two years she worked out of her home, building her flower arrangement business, crafting her signature flower boxes and offering her flower bar concept at events. Last year, when space opened on East Main Street next to White House Donuts and across from Field Brewing, she jumped at the chance to have a brick-and-mortar site.
“We took over two spaces, a barber shop and a pizza place. My husband and I did all the build-out work ourselves. We designed a small event space with natural light. It is available for photographers to rent for shoots. It’s also where I hold flower-arranging classes, flower and seedling markets plus monthly meetups with local farmers,” Thatcher says.
Flower-arranging classes and workshops are open to all ages and each can accommodate 15 to 20 people. Thatcher also holds off-site classes in businesses such as Field Brewing or at private homes. The monthly flower and seedling market can include vegetables like tomatoes, herbs and cucumbers. Local Flower Hour allows people to ask four to five farmers questions while buying starts for sale. Thatcher shares that the classes are a great way to get out and meet other people from the community.
“The business is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but people can order arrangements online for local delivery every day of the week. If they drop in to the store, they can choose from the flower bar and sit on a cozy couch while I whip a bouquet up for them. There is
a vase wall, or people can bring in their own container,” Thatcher says.
The flower bar consists of fresh seasonal stemmed flowers ready for bouquets or arrangements. Thatcher transports the flower bar to organizations’ events and parties, providing guests with a creative and interactive activity. Her largest flower bar accommodated 250 people at a corporate gathering.
Thatcher’s custom flower boxes and creative installations are also crowd pleasers. The flower boxes are painted with any logo or saying requested and filled with beautiful flower arrangements. Likewise, the installations are perfect for photo opportunities at celebrations such as bridal or baby showers.
“Flowers have a healing aspect. Working with them gets people out of their usual day-to-day living. I have always been a creative person, and I love mixing art and flowers,” Thatcher says.
Flower Box is located at 210 E. Main St. and is open Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
To order online for delivery or arranged pickup Sunday through Saturday, visit localflowerbox.square.site or call 317763-0088. For information on upcoming workshops and classes, view Facebook and Instagram or visit westfieldflowerbox.com/ studio-workshops-and-events.
