HEROES

Jamie Boer Homes and the “Heroes Give Back Program”

A LETTER FROMJamie Boer

The Homefront Heroes Magazine has always been about recognition –recognizing those in our community who go above and beyond, and as I reflect on family, friends and the team here at JBH, I can’t help but be proud of the people who make it their mission to help others.

First and foremost, I think about my mom, who passed away from breast cancer in 2017. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and supporting survivors is close to my heart. My mom was my hero, and I dedicate every October to the power of pink in honor of my mother and all the powerful women who lead.

I encourage you to do the same: walk in an awareness walk, donate funds to breast cancer research or deliver a meal to a neighbor or friend who you know is struggling with this disease. I know I will!

Secondly, I think about this amazing team at JBH. As a team, you don’t just get one of us, you get all of us, and I’m so grateful that I have a team who shares the same passion I do when it comes to helping others.

In this Homefront Heroes edition, we’re getting to know each of the agents on the JBH team: a bit of their story, their passions, what they like to do for fun and, of course, why they chose real estate. I’ll go first!

I’ve been in the real estate industry for more than 30 years and launched JBH five years ago. We’ve been so blessed and have been able to help around 1,000 families since then. I love what I do, I love my clients and I love helping people change their life.

It’s not always roses. No matter the scenario, we hold hands with you through it all. We want you to feel loved and supported throughout the process and help you get to where you want to go next.

I love the outdoors, spending time with family and I’m a huge animal advocate. I could go to the beach or go to the mountains – as long as we’re outside, that’s where I find my peace and my solitude.

My sister is my best friend. She lives 10 minutes away from me, and we help take care of my dad after my mom

passed. I enjoy spending time with my husband, I have three sons and I love watching them as they go through life and as we form this new relationship with young adults. I’m all about nature and peace in my life right now.

In addition to the JBH team, be sure to check out some of our local heroes like Lieutenant Leann Foster, a fighter and paramedic with the Fishers Fire Department, Michelle Greco, a HSE teacher, and more. The heroes in our community never cease to amaze me!

With gratitude, Jamie Boer

MARBLES BRAIN BODY FITNESS

SHAREA CLARK

How Sharea Clark Turned Her Vision Into a Fitness Model for Mind & Body

When Sharea Clark opened Marbles Brain Body Fitness in Fishers, she wasn’t interested in adding another gym to the neighborhood. She wanted a place that brought science and community together with her own personal drive. For years, she had watched people she cared about wrestle with brain fog, memory slips and the creeping worry of decline.

At the same time, she noticed how traditional fitness often focused on the body alone, leaving the brain, the most important muscle of all, out of the equation.

“That realization drove me to create a space where people could work on both at once: strengthening their bodies and sharpening their minds,” Clark says. “Marbles Brain Body Fitness was born out of the belief that staying mentally sharp and physically strong should be accessible, engaging and even life-changing.”

At Marbles, the focus is on evidencebased tools and programs that strengthen neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and create new connections. Members train with equipment that pushes them to move, think and react all at once. This method, known as dual task training, has been shown in research to improve balance, memory, mood and reaction time. It goes beyond exercise.

In other words, it’s not just a workout — it’s brain training for real life.

Members come from all walks of life: retirees wanting to stay independent, adults who’ve noticed brain fog creeping in, professionals looking to perform at their best, and even individuals recovering from health challenges who want to regain confidence.

“What they all share is a desire to feel better, not just physically, but mentally too,” Clark says.

One of the things the gym owner loves most about Marbles is the atmosphere. It’s not intimidating or pretentious. Instead, it’s uplifting, encouraging and full of small victories, like remembering names more easily, feeling steadier on their feet, or having more energy to keep up with their grandkids. These aren’t just workouts, she says, they’re moments that ripple into everyday life.

But starting Marbles wasn’t easy. It meant stepping into an untraditional space in fitness and introducing people to something new.

“But I believed then, and still do now, that this work matters,” Clark says. “Science shows that the choices we make today can protect our brains tomorrow and every time a member tells me they feel sharper, stronger or simply more hopeful, I’m reminded

why I started this journey in the first place.”

Marbles Brain Body Fitness is more than a gym — it’s a community invested in lifelong brain and body health. Their mission is simple: to help people keep their marbles, so they can continue living the lives they love with clarity, confidence and joy.

Marbles Brain Body Fitness stands as more than a gym. It is a community dedicated to lifelong health of both brain and body.

You can find more information on classes at marblesfitness.com or by calling or texting 317-649-8444. The gym is located at 11386 Olio Road in Fishers.

Allie Rezkalla

812.322.9397 allie.rezkalla@compass.com

Allie Rezkalla began working in the real estate industry in 2021 but didn’t start out there.

Rezkalla is originally from Boston, grew up in Bloomington and Center Grove and graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, majoring in Journalism and Public Relations.

As a child, however, Rezkalla watched her father custom-build two of their family homes and soon realized her love for design and real estate would pair well with her skills in sales and communication.

“I earned my real estate license and really found my true passion,” she says. “I’m dedicated to listening closely to my clients’ needs, tailoring searches to their stage of life and finding their perfect match. I use every tool I can, from Compass private exclusives to off-market opportunities, and I love negotiating on behalf of my clients to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible.”

Outside of the real estate office, Rezkalla enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, 9-month-old daughter Sophia and their golden retriever Cooper.

“I also love golfing and pickleball, going to farmers markets, art fairs and trying new restaurants,” Rezkalla adds. “My husband and I have been members of Old Oakland Golf Club since 2020. We like to attend concerts and walk the Nickel Plate Trail.”

Another passion of Rezkalla’s is animals.

During her college years, she volunteered

with the Humane Society. She also supports Bunnies Buddies, a rescue that saves dogs from heartbreaking situations overseas.

“Giving back to animals in need is very close to my heart,” she says.

Rezkalla enjoys giving back to her clients, too.

She recognizes sellers are looking for top dollar through strategic pricing, prepping and marketing while leveraging strong industry relationships to connect with the right buyers. The buyers, on the other hand, are simply trying to find the perfect home for them.

“It’s about meeting them wherever they are in life,” she says. “I’ve had the privilege of working with first-time buyers, seniors downsizing from homes they raised families in, out-of-state investors and many others. I really enjoy tailoring searches to each client.”

For Rezkalla, the entire process is a joy.

“To me, real estate is never just a transaction, it’s about building trust, listening deeply and helping people move into the next chapter of their lives with confidence,” she says.

JAMIE BOER HOMES REAL ESTATE ADVISORS

Zeke Mayberry has always been drawn to the real estate world — just not in the most direct way. Though he’s been a licensed agent for only seven years, his path to the profession gave him a deep, hands-on understanding of homes long before he ever sold one.

A Ball State University graduate with a degree in business administration, Mayberry spent years working in cabinets, appliances, insulation manufacturing, home security and even insurance as a property adjuster. Those roles taught him the ins and outs of home construction and gave him a unique edge when it comes to matching clients with the right properties.

“A friend of mine who was already in the real estate industry thought I might have a knack for it,” Mayberry recalls. “He thought I was good at speaking with people as well as building relationships, which are cornerstones of being a realtor. I took the leap and it turned into one of my greatest passions. Not everyone enjoys what they do for a living, but I can honestly say, without a doubt, that I have a love for what I do.”

Relationship-building remains at the heart of his approach. For Mayberry, real estate isn’t just about transactions — it’s about trust. By the end of the process, his clients feel more like family.

“I always tell my clients that I am here to help them reach their goals, and I want them to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process,” he says. “I accomplish this by setting proper expectations from the beginning and doing my research in the market to provide them with the most up-to-date information so they can make confident decisions. I go above and beyond and just really want to help people.”

That commitment to service drives him every day. Whether it’s negotiating for a first-time homebuyer or guiding a family into their forever home, Mayberry takes pride in making every experience seamless and rewarding.

Outside of real estate, Mayberry is equally devoted to his own family. He and his wife of seven years are parents to two energetic boys, ages 5 and 3. When he’s not showing homes or closing deals, you can

He played football for the Michigan State Spartans and was later drafted as an offensive guard for the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL draft. For the next three years, Whitticker spent time on the Packers, Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins rosters before retiring from the NFL due to injury.

Today, Whitticker is an agent on the Jamie Boer Homes real estate team and he’s enjoying his time off the field.

“I’m married with two children: Evaya, 18 and William, 5,” he says. “Right now, it’s important to me to spend time with my family and, outside of that, I have a big passion for football and I enjoy hanging out with friends.”

Right out of the NFL, Whitticker worked on the mortgage side of the industry, helping clients navigate percentages and interest, but nine years ago, he chose to move over to the real estate side.

He was attracted to the impact a people-person like him could make.

“It’s the biggest financial decision you’ll ever make in your life,” Whitticker says. “I like helping people build and create wealth.”

With nearly a decade of experience, Whitticker enjoys educating and empowering his clients to make informed real estate decisions and he guides clients every step of the way.

“Will’s team spirit and hard work from being a professional athlete makes him go above and beyond for his clients and his JBH teammates,” says Jamie Boer, owner and associate broker.

Whitticker is determined to do the best job possible.

“I will go the extra mile,” he says. “If I don’t answer the phone, I’ll call back in a timely manner. I’m working at all hours and want to help my clients in this journey.”

Alex Klingensmith grew up in Fishers, where he graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School. Living most of his life in the Indianapolis area, he’s developed an appreciation for the growth seen in Hamilton County and beyond.

Real estate has always been a passion of his and with years of past sales experience, Klingensmith enjoys meeting new people and helping guide them through the experience of buying and/or selling a home at Jamie Boer Homes (JBH).

“I love the sales aspect, helping others find their dream home and accomplish goals for their family,” he says. “My dad was in sales which led me to always want to work hard and meet new people. I like to be on the go all the time.”

Working alongside clients who are making one of the biggest decisions of their life, Klingensmith takes the search seriously, even walking away with a friendship in the end.

“I think it’s most important to figure out what people’s goals and dreams are for finding their new home,” he says. “I put my heart and soul into every client and try to create a lifelong friendship with them. I also treat every client the same: whether you’re looking to buy a $100,000 home or a $1,000,000 home. I’m going to work hard each day to create a lifelong relationship and help you achieve your goals.”

When Klingensmith isn’t hunting for the perfect home for a client, he loves spending time with wife, Lexi, daughter Brenley and son Beckham. They have two dogs, Bristol and Rosie.

Klingensmith also enjoys the outdoors: hunting, fishing, boating and more. He plays hockey and golf and spends time with friends and family often.

“Alex has been with me since his first closing,” says Jamie Boer. “Everyone loves Alex. He is all heart with all of his people.”

Stew believes that purchasing or selling a home is a significant life decision, and he strives to serve as a trusted partner for his clients. By leveraging his deep knowledge of the local market and data-driven insights, he ensures clients are well-informed and confident in their decisions. His approach emphasizes clear communication, meticulous attention to detail,

COL. KRISTA KLEIN

Colonel (Retired) Krista Klein Reflects on Distinguished Military Career & Family Legacy of Service

Colonel (Retired) Krista Klein grew up in a small Michigan village that was so tiny, she says, it was not even called a town. Life was simple, and right after high school in 1985 she enlisted in the Army.

“There was no internet back then to figure things out,” Klein says. “I just went in with an adventurous attitude and an open mind. I never would have thought it would lead to such a long career.”

One of her earliest assignments changed everything. She interviewed for a position at the Pentagon and was selected to work in the Immediate Office of the Secretary of the Army under the Honorable John O. Marsh Jr.

“It was an incredible opportunity, but what really made it unforgettable was meeting my future husband on my very first day there,” she says.

From there she earned a four-year ROTC scholarship and became an officer and logistician. That path led to her most formative years at Camp Atterbury in Indiana. She was mobilized there from 2003 to 2014.

“During that time, we trained and deployed more than 100,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Coast Guard, and even civilians and contractors,” Klein says. “It was a mission that mattered.”

Her final assignment returned her to the

Pentagon in Army G4 Logistics.

“Walking through those halls is like walking through a living museum of military history and art,” she says. “I never stopped feeling proud every time I went through those doors.”

After 34 years of service, Klein retired in 2022. Today, she works with the Federal Highway Administration.

“It was the strangest feeling not putting on the uniform every day and getting used to being called Krista instead of Colonel Klein,” she says. “It felt like I was two different people.”

While she sometimes misses the Army, she finds purpose in continuing to serve in another way.

Through it all, she says her motivation and biggest driver in life has been family. Her grandmother immigrated from southern Italy and took deep pride in being an American. Service runs through generations of her family, starting with her great-grandfather in the SpanishAmerican War and continuing through grandfathers, uncles, sisters, in-laws, her husband and now her two sons.

One of her sons is a Marine and the other currently serves in the Army. Klein is proud of both the family she comes from and the one she has raised.

“I started near the bottom and through hard work rose to one of the highest officer ranks,” she says. “It wasn’t always

easy, but it was worth it, and I’m grateful to my husband, my sons and my mom for supporting me.”

Her early foundation shaped her most. Her parents, who ran a small “5 and Dime” store, taught her integrity, hard work and love for family.

“They were loving, a bit strict, and absolutely devoted to us,” she says. “I couldn’t have asked for better examples.”

LT. LEANN FOSTER

Fishers Firefighter Lt. Leann Foster Finds Motivation In Family, Community & Wellness

Lt. Leann Foster has spent 22 years with the Fishers Fire Department, serving as an engineer, working on an ambulance, and now as an EMS Duty Officer. She responds to the most serious calls, from cardiac arrests to car accidents, and helps keep daily operations running smoothly.

When asked what keeps her going after more than two decades, she doesn’t point to the work itself. She points to the people who inspire her.

Her daughters are at the heart of her motivation.

“Being a mom to three girls is a big part of my why,” Foster says. “I wanted to show them you can have a career you love and still put family first. My husband’s support made that possible. When they were little, I focused on being home with them, and as they got older, I took on more within the department.”

Her parents also shaped her path. Foster grew up on a farm in Westfield and remembers them as tireless workers who never told her she couldn’t do something because she was a girl.

“I spent my late teens rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, and they never discouraged it,” she says. “They just let me explore — that freedom made a huge impact. I try to give my daughters the same opportunity, even

What keeps me going is focusing on those positives and knowing I’m making an impact, both at work and at home.

when it makes me nervous.”

The community provides inspiration too. Foster enjoys attending neighborhood cul-de-sac drills where firefighters bring trucks, spray water and spend time with families.

“Those nights are some of my favorite moments,” she says. “You get to meet kids when it’s not a scary emergency, just watching their faces light up reminds me why I love this job.”

She has also become a strong voice for wellness within the department. As part of the peer fitness division, she trains firefighters in functional movement and teaches yoga classes to recruits and police officers.

“Yoga has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. It helps with stress and recovery,” she says. “Public safety work is hard on the body and the mind, so normalizing healthy habits early is important.”

For Foster, inspiration is found in both big and small moments — her daughters growing into confident young women, her parents’ example of grit and encouragement, and seeing young children realize their opportunities are endless for what they want to be when they’re older.

“This career has good days and bad days,” she says. “What keeps me going is focusing on those positives and knowing I’m making an impact, both at work and at home.”

“It is such a pleasure to share our experience working with Jamie Boer of JBH Realty. After living in our previous home for nearly 32 years, the thought of selling it was not easy. That house was more than just a place to live—it was where we built our lives, raised our family, and made countless memories. Needless to say, we were hesitant about taking such a big step. But we also knew it was time to move to a home on one level, where we would no longer have to navigate stairs every day.

From the very beginning, Jamie, and her team, treated us with care, understanding, and professionalism. She knew how much our home meant to us and guided us through the selling process with patience and expertise. She even took the time to notice the details of the home we were leaving behind and understood the style and feel of what we were looking for in a new home.

Jamie was always available to answer our questions, no matter how small, and no matter what time it was!  Whenever we felt overwhelmed, she had a remarkable way of putting us at ease and helping us see the bigger picture. Her knowledge and experience were invaluable, and her encouragement helped us every step of the way.

Now, thanks to Jamie, and her team, we are happily settled in a home that is perfect for us. It’s a place that feels comfortable, welcoming, and exactly right for this next stage of our lives. We are excited to begin making new memories here, and we know we couldn’t have done it without her.

We are so deeply grateful for Jamie’s hard work, dedication, and heart throughout this entire journey. If you are considering buying or selling a home, we cannot recommend her, and her team, enough. Jamie is not only an exceptional realtor, but she and her team genuinely care about the people they serve, and that is evident in the generosity and support of all of the things they do to “Give Back” to the community.

Originally from New York, Greco grew up in Indiana and graduated valedictorian from Hamilton Southeastern High School. Even as a child, she imagined herself in many roles — astronaut, diplomat, astrophysicist — but her curiosity and love of learning consistently pointed

her toward teaching. At Indiana University, she completed a double major and four minors, studied abroad, and interned with the State Department and the New York City Council.

She briefly considered a career in the foreign service and later enrolled in a doctoral program at Cornell, where she discovered that teaching was what she loved most.

“I’m good at taking complex ideas and making them understandable,” she says. “I love helping students connect the dots. That’s what drew me to teaching full time.”

After teaching at Cornell and teaching English in Rwanda, Greco began her high school teaching career in western Massachusetts at a rural high school, then taught in an inner-city charter school in Boston, followed by a suburban school similar to Fishers. When her husband took a job in Indianapolis, she returned home. She has now been at Fishers High School for nearly eight years.

She teaches mainly freshmen, including students in AP world history who have, in effect, jumped multiple grade levels.

“They’re taking in so much, and my job is to make it digestible while keeping it engaging,” she says.

In regular world history, she covers 10,000 years of human civilization in fewer than 90 class periods, helping students see connections between past events and the world today. Greco emphasizes the relevance of history, showing students how past ideas, inventions, and social changes mirror challenges and innovations in modern life.

She emphasizes personal connections as much as academics, expressing her passion in truly helping and shaping her students.

“I check in with them as people, not just students. I want them to feel comfortable and supported,” she says. “It’s about helping them figure out who they are, not just what they know.”

Her approach is influenced by her parents, both psychology majors, and a former high school teacher who inspired her love of history.

Greco’s energy, curiosity, and dedication shine through every day.
