First, allow me to welcome you to Fishers, Indiana — a community consistently recognized by national publications as one of the best places to live in the United States. When I moved from Indianapolis to Fishers in 1991, it looked nothing like it does today. At the time, we were a town of about 9,000 residents — a growing suburb, but one that was dwarfed by communities such as Carmel and Greenwood.
That same year, I married my wife, Jane. Three years later, we welcomed our twin daughters, Allison and Mary, into the world. Both received outstanding educations through Hamilton Southeastern Schools and are now college graduates. Like so many families, we have watched our children grow up alongside this community.
From 9,000 residents in 1991 to more than 100,000 today, Fishers’ growth has been remarkable. Experts estimate the population will reach approximately 110,000 by the end of 2026.
In 1991, I was employed by the federal government. After retiring in 2011 — and drawing on earlier experience as a journalist
— I launched the local news website LarryInFishers.com in January 2012. In 2016, I added a podcast series featuring local guests and community conversations.
I have had the privilege of watching Fishers grow and mature — first as a resident and now as a journalist covering the stories that shape our city. It has truly been a front-row seat to the evolution of a special place.
Why has Fishers grown so rapidly, and why has it received so many accolades?
Leadership has played a key role. After the transition from town to city government, Scott Fadness was elected as Fishers’ first — and so far only — mayor. He has been proactive in pursuing development while keeping a close focus on what many describe as “quality of life” issues. Under his leadership, the city has constructed a new City Hall and Arts Center, developed an Event Center and opened a new Community Center — all while maintaining the local property tax rate. His understanding of municipal finance has been central to that progress.

Equally important is our civic culture. Fishers benefits from a wide range of clubs, nonprofits, faith communities and volunteer organizations dedicated to strengthening our city. That culture thrives because of committed residents who care deeply about where they live.
There are always exceptions to any broad statement, but I sincerely believe Fishers’ greatest asset is its people. Having lived here for more than three decades, I have seen this firsthand. Fishers is a special city because the people who live here are special. It is as simple as that.
I treasure the many friendships Jane and I have gained since moving here in 1991, and I am confident you will experience the same sense of community.
Welcome to Fishers. I hope our paths cross soon, and I look forward to greeting you personally.

In Hamilton County, growth is expected. Businesses expand, real estate values rise, and portfolios increase.
But growth alone is not a strategy. At Knepp Wealth Management, the conversation begins with a different question: Do you have a portfolio — or do you have a plan?
For Founder and President Jon-Jon Knepp, that distinction defines the firm. After more than two decades guiding individuals and families through market cycles, life transitions, liquidity events, and major financial decisions, Jon-Jon believes wealth management should do more than accumulate assets. It should create clarity, structure, and confidence — especially when the focus shifts from building wealth to deploying it with intention.
That philosophy shapes how the firm approaches wealth at every stage. Many
investors accumulate positions over time: 401(k)s, brokerage accounts, equity compensation, and mutual funds layered over decades. Each addition may have been appropriate but often lacks coordination with the overall portfolio.
“People are trained to ignore their accounts and let them ride,” Jon-Jon says. “At a certain point, the question shifts from growth alone to structure.”
He often shares an analogy that resonates with clients: a mountaineer who climbed the Seven Summits once noted that nearly all mountain-climbing fatalities occur on the descent, not on the ascent. “The ascent and descent require different strategies,” Jon-Jon explains. “Building wealth takes discipline. Transitioning that wealth, whether in ten years or today, requires precision.”
For some, this transition involves preparing
concentrated equity for future liquidity. For others, it means optimizing tax efficiency before retirement. For those already drawing income, it requires coordinating assets to manage volatility and support lifestyle needs.
The inflection point does not begin at retirement. It starts when wealth becomes complex enough to require a structured approach.
Knepp Wealth Management designs written, coordinated strategies aligned to how clients want to live — now and in the decades ahead.
At the core of the firm’s approach is its fiduciary standard, a commitment to placing clients’ best interests first.

Jon-Jon holds a Series 65 license and serves as an Investment Advisory Representative, operating under a fiduciary obligation that requires objectivity, transparency, and disciplined oversight. In a financial services landscape where standards of care can vary, that distinction matters.
But for Jon-Jon, fiduciary responsibility isn’t a marketing phrase. It’s operational. “We don’t build plans around products,” he says. “We build them around people.”
This approach requires understanding each client’s life stage, income needs, tax exposure, risk tolerance, and longterm legacy goals before recommending a strategy. It also involves ongoing accountability, not just a single transaction.
Trust, Jon-Jon says, is built through consistency. And consistency requires structure.

Active wealth management wasn’t always part of the firm’s model. For nearly the first decade of his career, Jon-Jon focused on conservative strategies, deliberately avoiding approaches that relied on passive exposure without oversight.
“I never wanted to tell someone to simply stay the course regardless of conditions,” he says. “If markets evolve, strategy should evolve.”
Today, the firm uses disciplined, risk-aware
allocation methods to evaluate economic conditions and adjust exposure as needed. The goal is not prediction, but stewardship, ensuring portfolios remain aligned with each client’s life stage and risk profile.
For those building wealth, this means managing concentration and volatility. For those transitioning to income, it means recognizing the importance of sequence and structure.
Markets change. Life changes. Strategy, Jon-Jon believes, should adapt to both.

When new clients arrive, many bring statements that appear diversified on the surface, but the underlying reality is often quite different.

For others, repositioning.
The firm’s no-cost portfolio analysis initiates the real conversation. It is a structured, comprehensive review that shows exactly what you own, what it costs, and whether it supports your goals.
In many mutual funds, the same companies appear repeatedly across multiple funds, each trading independently. The result can be overlapping exposure, layered fees, and unintended tax drag that quietly erodes returns.
“Most people know the name of the fund,” Jon-Jon says. “They don’t always know what’s inside it, or what it’s actually costing them.”
The analysis goes beyond surface-level diversification by identifying overlap, cost inefficiencies, tax exposure, and income misalignment, then outlines what a more coordinated structure could accomplish.
For some clients, that means simplifying.
In many cases, this means replacing pooled vehicles with direct holdings to improve transparency and tax control.
The goal isn’t complexity. It’s clarity.
From there, the firm follows four disciplined phases: discovery, coordinated plan design, intentional implementation, and ongoing oversight, ensuring every component works toward the same objective.
Every plan is documented, every strategy is intentional, and every recommendation aligns with the client’s vision for their life.
Some prioritize legacy. Others value flexibility. Many simply want confidence that their wealth is structured to support whatever comes next.
“There’s no cookie-cutter answer,” Jon-Jon says. “Your life leads the strategy. Every decision supports that direction.”
Jon-Jon’s commitment to his clients extends beyond his practice. He recently joined the
Forbes Finance Council, a membership community for senior financial services executives.
This reflects his professional standing and contributions to the broader wealth management conversation.
“The way people think about wealth is evolving,” he says. “Our job is to stay ahead of that — and to bring those insights directly to our clients.”
Founded in 2005 and based in Fishers, Knepp Wealth Management serves clients locally and nationwide. The firm has grown intentionally by expanding its team, upgrading technology, and refining its planning and client experience, while keeping service at the center.
“If we’re the right fit, great,” Jon-Jon says. “If not, that’s okay. At least you’ll know exactly where you stand — and what it’s costing you.”
As Hamilton County continues to grow, so does the complexity of the financial decisions its residents face. In that environment, clarity is not a luxury. It is an advantage.
Knepp Wealth Management delivers this advantage through structure, fiduciary discipline, and coordinated strategy, because real wealth is not measured solely by accumulation. It is measured by how effectively it is structured to support every stage that follows.

It’s the hottest team in town with the hottest ticket in town. If you haven’t checked out the Indy Ignite yet at Fishers Event Center, get there fast! The 2026 season for Indiana’s only women’s professional volleyball team ends the first weekend in May.
The Ignite are among eight teams competing this season in Major League Volleyball, the premier pro league in the United States—and three more expansion teams in Minnesota, Northern California, and Washington, D.C. are set to join MLV for the 2027 season. Last year in the franchise’s inaugural season, the Ignite made it all the way to the championship finals. This year, they’re blazing their way toward another playoff berth, leading the league at the season’s midpoint.
In addition to “lighting it up” on the court, the team has already built a strong and loyal fan base that makes Fishers Event Center the place to be on game night. Led by the Ignite’s diva mascot, Pepper, and backed by multiple fan-friendly activities that take place during and around each match, the arena brims
with excitement for every Indy home date. Longtime volleyball followers and newcomers alike enjoy watching the spectacular athleticism of the players on the court while savoring the fun atmosphere and goings-on surrounding the competition—and they can’t wait to come back for more.
“Having our fans behind us every game and just how loud and involved they are in every game,” says Ignite setter Ainise Havili. “It’s definitely a difference maker for us.”
Ignite middle blocker Blake Mohler played collegiately at Purdue University, so she was well acquainted with the fervor of the state’s volleyball fans when she returned to join the Ignite.
“From the beginning, I’ve said Indiana is a volleyball state,” Mohler says. “Going to Purdue and being around those fans for five years, I knew that the crowd here was going to be insane. And they get us through tough matches; they get us through the good matches. They support us 24-7, and we’re so
thankful for them.”
Primary missions of the franchise are to empower women and serve the community. One way the Ignite does just that is by connecting with the enthusiastic Indiana volleyball community. From inviting area clubs to attend matches, to hosting camps for players of all ages and skill levels, to supporting high school volleyball by promoting a match of the week in the fall season, the Ignite are shining a light and paving the way for the next generation of women’s sports and inspiring girls to pursue their passion – whether in volleyball or elsewhere – with relentless ambition.
There’s still time to check out the Ignite as they make their run toward the MLV playoffs. Home matches remain on April 12 (vs. Atlanta at 3 p.m. ET), April 19 (vs. Dallas, 6 p.m.), May 1 (vs. Columbus, 7 p.m.) and May 3 (vs. San Diego, 3 p.m.). For more information about the team and to purchase tickets, visit IndyIgniteVB.com.

In a fast-moving, competitive industry, Ageless Aesthetics builds trust by prioritizing a patient-first approach: fostering genuine relationships through attentive listening, tailoring treatments to individual goals, and maintaining open communication. Founded by aesthetic nurse practitioner Shelley Clayton, the Indianapolis-based medical spa has earned a remarkable string of honors over the past six years, but Clayton insists the awards are simply a reflection of something deeper.

“It shows us we’re doing the right thing by our patients,” Clayton says. “Our goal is to make sure they feel comfortable, educated and genuinely taken care of. When they vote for us, it tells us they’re happy, and that means everything.”
Since 2020, Ageless Aesthetics has consistently been recognized by the Aesthetic Everything Industry Awards as “Top Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner,” “Top Women in Aesthetic Medicine,” “Top Women Injectors,” and “Top Medical Spa Midwest.” The accolades continued year after year, expanding to include “Top Business Owner of the Year in Aesthetics,” IAOTP’s “Empowered Woman of the Year,” repeated “Best of Indianapolis” and “Best of Southside” honors from the Daily

Journal, and most recently, “Best Medical Spa Midwest” in 2026. The practice has also been named “Medical Spa of the Year,” featured in Global Icons 2022 by Passion Vista, and recognized by Indianapolis Monthly as the “Face of Medical Spas.”
For patients, those titles offer reassurance in what can feel like a vulnerable decision.
“Aesthetic treatments are very personal,” Clayton says. “You’re trusting someone with your face and with your confidence. That can be scary. Our philosophy is to enhance you without overdoing it. We’re about keeping you, you. When you tell someone, ‘You don’t need that,’ it builds trust. We’re not pushy. We don’t use high-pressure tactics. Patients feel that difference.”
The team’s commitment to excellence extends beyond ethics to education. Staff members participate in ongoing training,

conferences and quarterly sessions to stay ahead of evolving techniques. Ageless Aesthetics has also introduced advanced technology, including 3D facial scanning that creates an AI-assisted analysis of skin health, measuring texture, pigmentation and even millimeter-level lift in beforeand-after comparisons. The practice also offers SoftWave ultrasound skin tightening, a popular no-downtime treatment that stimulates collagen without the recovery associated with more aggressive procedures.
While offering cutting-edge technology enhances the patient experience, Clayton believes the defining factor is the culture at Ageless Aesthetics. The business started as a leap of faith and has grown to three thriving locations across Indianapolis, with a fourth in Fishers opening soon. Clayton’s intentional focus on cultivating a highly skilled, collaborative team further reinforces the clinic’s patient-first commitment.
“I had no idea when I started if I’d even be good at this,” Clayton says. “Now we have clients who treat us like family. We feel honored and blessed.”
Success, for Clayton, isn’t just measured in awards, though there are many. It’s measured in confidence restored, relationships built, and a team that celebrates wins together, even with the occasional girls’ trip to Miami.
In a crowded field, Ageless Aesthetics sets itself apart through earned trust, one patient at a time, every time.

Hi there! I’m Alison Gatz, the proud owner of Fishers Magazine — and as someone who’s called this amazing city home for 25 years, I can honestly say: you’re going to love it here!
When my family first moved to Fishers, we were drawn by the fantastic schools and welcoming neighborhoods — the perfect place to raise a family. And raise a family we did! Three kids later, we’re now settling into the empty nester chapter, and Fishers just keeps getting better. The dining scene, the entertainment options, the beautiful new parks and trails, the exciting new businesses popping up around every corner... there’s always something new to discover. No matter where you are in life, Fishers has a way of feeling just right.
As you’re getting settled in, we’d love for you to get to know Fishers Magazine. We’ve been a proud part of this community since 2013, and our heart is all about connection — bringing residents, businesses, and organizations together and helping everyone feel like they truly belong here. From shining a spotlight on incredible local nonprofits and small businesses to cheering on civic engagement, we’re here to share the stories that make Fishers so special.
Come hang out with us on Facebook and Instagram for local events, fun conversations, story highlights, and monthly giveaways (yes, free stuff!). And if you’d like to receive the magazine — print or digital — just head over to townepost.com/fishers to sign up.
We are so glad you’re here. Welcome home!

Dear Residents,
It’s an honor to collaborate with Fishers Magazine on another edition of the Fishers Relocation Guide. As a new resident, or maybe a curious longtime resident, the contents of this issue are the culmination of the hard work over the past decade to make Fishers one of the best places to live in the country. Due to our strategic investments in infrastructure, economic development and recreational space, we have transformed our community from a small suburb in the shadow of bustling Indianapolis into Indiana’s fourthlargest city and home to some of the region’s most unique amenities.
As you settle into our city, you’ll discover the places, organizations, and community spirit that make Fishers so special. Places like the Fishers Art Center and new Fishers Community Center, Strengthened by IU Health— facilities built to provide our residents with the most-requested amenities identified during a citywide survey in
2021. Destinations like Conner Prairie, a Smithsonian-affiliated institution and one of the most visited outdoor museums in the country, and Fishers Event Center, which brings sports teams and performers from around the U.S. to our city. You’ll meet community partners like the awardwinning HSE Schools, which had near 99% graduation rate in 2025, and the Hamilton East Public Library, which serves our community through their extensive collection, dynamic Ignite makerspace, and free programming for residents of all ages.
Then there’s the community spirit that makes Fishers truly unique. The way our community comes together during times of both celebration and loss continues to humble me. Fishers is a place where neighbors help one another, where new friends are made on the soccer field or at the neighborhood cookout, and we come together for beloved annual traditions like Spark!Fishers festival, Fishers Farmers Market presented by IU Health, and
summer concerts at the Nickel Plate District AMP. I am incredibly proud to serve this community and call Fishers home.
Although we’ll never stop innovating and striving to be better than we are today, I’m excited for 2026 as the year where we can celebrate so many of these long-awaited projects finally coming to fruition. I encourage you to get out and explore all that Fishers has to offer, from our trail system—now featuring connections to Indianapolis, Carmel, and Noblesville— to our many parks, restaurants, and local shops that infuse our community with vibrancy and culture.
I hope to see you out soaking up all that Fishers has to offer, and welcome home.
Yours in service,
Scott Fadness Mayor of Fishers

The OneZone Chamber of Commerce recently launched the Fishers Small Business Network, an initiative designed to strengthen connections, foster collaboration, and provide valuable resources for locally owned businesses across the city.
“Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community,” says Jack Russell, president & CEO of OneZone Chamber. “The Fishers
Small Business Network is designed to bring entrepreneurs together to share ideas, tackle challenges, and ensure their voices are heard as our city continues to grow.”
The program provides a dedicated platform for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and community leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue about the opportunities and challenges facing local business. The network meets regularly

throughout the year, featuring guest speakers, roundtable discussions, and community updates focused on growth, innovation, and advocacy.
Earlier this spring, Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness joined the Small Business Network for a discussion on the main challenges facing small business owners in Fishers and ways that the City can provide support.
“Fishers is synonymous with small business and entrepreneurship, and the Small Business Network continues to strengthen those connections,” says Mayor Fadness. “Small business owners are a critical part of the dynamism of our city, and I look forward to continuing to work together to ensure that Fishers remains a place where entrepreneurs want — and have the resources to — launch and grow a successful business.”
“The Fishers Small Business Network is about connection,” Russell says. “When small business owners have a place to gather, collaborate, and learn from each other, the entire community benefits.”

“Before LearningRx, our daughter Alexandra, then age 7, was really struggling. No matter how much extra help she got from school and tutors, she still couldn’t read and her grades were still low. The parent teacher conferences were becoming a chore and we found ourselves concerned for Alex’s future. Worst of all, Alexandra was losing her confidence and even began saying she felt ‘stupid.’ As parents, it broke our hearts to watch her feel defeated so young.
Then we found LearningRx—and everything changed. Alexandra went from a struggling student to a confident, capable reader who

now performs at grade level. Her report cards were filled with good grades, and the spark of confidence in her eyes has returned. Alexandra is now 19 and a college student at Purdue, a dream that was made possible by the life long change in her brain made through brain training at LearningRx. She’s proud of herself, and we’re so proud of her too. LearningRx didn’t just improve her reading and learning—it gave her back her confidence and changed her future. It truly changed her life.”
—Alexandra’s Parents
“What makes LearningRx so powerful is that we don’t just tutor—we train the brain. Our customized one-on-one brain training strengthens the core cognitive skills that make learning possible. This means better reading ability, stronger retention of information, and greater overall learning capacity. We also see amazing improvements in attention and focus skills—without the need for medication. When the brain is stronger, everything in school and life gets easier. Everything in life just gets better!”
You’re not alone. Many bright students struggle, not because they aren’t trying, but because traditional teaching and tutoring don’t strengthen the brain skills needed to learn.
That’s where LearningRx comes in.
• One-on-one brain training targets the root cause of learning struggles.
• We strengthen memory, attention, processing speed, logic & reasoning, and reading skills.
• Students don’t just “get by”—they gain the confidence and skills to thrive.

• The result? Report cards that finally reflect their true potential—better grades, stronger reading, and a confident learner who enjoys school again.
• If teaching and tutoring haven’t worked, it’s time to try something different. LearningRx doesn’t just teach—it changes the brain.

see how we can change your child’s future.

As we begin the new year with resolutions to get more organized,it’s not uncommon to think, “There must be a better way to do this.”
There is - but many of us can’t see the big picture and need a third party to come in, look at a space, and create something that solves the issues we’ve been struggling with for years.
Perhaps this year is the year the garage finally gets cleaned out and reorganized, or the walk-in closet that looked like a dream when you first moved in can now be functional and fun.
For the past couple of years, Anthony and Jill Rund have been helping customers transform areas of their home to maximize space, become better organized and simply enjoy the aesthetically pleasing look of a well-designed space.
“My wife and I moved here nine years ago and loved the area,” Rund said. “We see this as our long-term home, and we’re excited to represent a great local team here in Indianapolis, delivering products and services that deliver long-lasting value and relationships for our customers.
When a customer calls, a designer visits the home, takes measurements, talks to the customer about their desires and their use for the space, and then sits down to come up

with a plan together.
“What sets us apart is the time we take to listen to our customers’ needs, and then custom design and manufacture a product that delivers on those needs,” Rund said. “At our facility in Indianapolis we build the exact system you need and then come in and install it. So, you might find something close for your closet at a big-box store, but here, if you need something that is 28.5 inches, we’ll maximize that space by making something custom for you.”
Closets are a popular request, but Rund said they work in pantries, laundry rooms, garages, media/entertainment rooms, and basements - anywhere that might be in need of organization and a better storage or display system.
“It’s not uncommon for someone to say they have this old wire rack system and they want to get rid of that,” Rund said. “Customers are looking for the next level, a quality look, and oftentimes we can’t find that at a bigbox store.”

As a family of six, Rund and his wife know firsthand the challenges of maintaining a home with four children, and love the idea of helping others reach their goals for their home.
“Our tagline is, ‘Imagine your home totally organized,’” Rund says. “We could see right away how this product could be very helpful and it would really help people organize their lives. We take pictures of before and after, and often share those with the team because it’s inspiring to us as well as it is to you.”
Closets by Design is a national franchise with an established brand, but the team in Indianapolis that designs, engineers and builds the product is local to your neighborhood.
They have a small showroom for curious customers who want to see options and allow their imaginations to expand. The showroom and manufacturing building is located at 1810 South Lynhurst Drive, Suite Q in Indianapolis.
