“It can be hard, but if you’re passionate about it, you will find a way. I see people, who, against all odds, have succeeded, they had this undeniable strength and they pushed past all the doubt, soooooooo many people start from this place, to be where you are, to have the opportunities you do, is a gift, remember that. Let it inspire you to rise above every challenge and make the most of this moment.”

“Market research is crucial at all stages of running a business, but especially so when starting up. Don’t rely on assumptions or the feedback - good or bad - of your own circle of family or friends. Get out there and do that research along with your business model canvas to see if your business has legs. Talk to real customers, validate your ideas in the market, and analyse your competition to understand the landscape.”

“Many, many businesses are started by a crazy person with a crazy idea. Experience has made me much more non-judgemental and much more client-focused than if I had not the people that I have worked with. So get on with it!”

“This challenge is a brilliant opportunity not only to learn the fundamentals of business, but to also build a useful network of people who have been there before. Never be afarid to ask for advice, fall in love with the problem, not the solution and stay curious.”
