New Premises Secure Toko Training’s Future Lynda Allan, Toko Training Manager, is excited that Toko Training is staying in Milton - thanks to an uncanny situation that meant the workshop and house they are moving into, were up for sale at the same time. The house and the workshop, in High Street, fit their needs well, with the house to be used for learning spaces and offices, and the workshop for Forestry training (theory and practice). The move will take place sometime in mid-late May, so it will be all hands on deck getting everything set up. Lynda said she is happy to have her appeal for new site resolved so quickly, and she is looking forward to settling in to the new premises.

Leadership Conference Positive

Homestay Families Needed in August

We still require 1-2 families/hosts who could offer a warm and friendly home to Japanese students for two weeks in August. If you would like to be that family/host or would like any further information please contact: Mary Hart ph 4178620 (Tokomairiro High School) or email: mary@tokohigh.school.nz Tokomairiro High School Recently a group of students attended the GRIP conference in Gore - and what a blast it was! GRIP stands for: Generosity: Willingness to use what you have been given (time and resources) on behalf of those you seek to influence. Responsibility: We all have a responsibility to develop what we have and help others to live well. Integrity: A commitment to truth and honesty in dealings. People: Every human being is of great significance, and has a purpose to fulfil. Students attended elective workshops on topics such as leadership responsibilities, supporting others, connecting students through events and making school a great place. They partnered with students from other schools and learned what it means to be a leader in today's world. Some great ideas have come from the conference and we look forward to seeing positive change for all.
