And it wouldn’t be Easter without a few vintage films to entertain you - please check out our Easter Egg film trail, bursting with matinee movies and more grown-up fare later in the evenings. We’re also supporting a vital campaign to secure funding for lobular breast cancer research - a devastating type of breast cancer. We premiere a documentary about it on 22nd April - please tune in if you can. Alongside all of this, you’ll still find our regular Lumo TV British Sign Language programmes, BBC Lifeline, and social history documentaries, told by the people who were there at the time. We’ve put a lot of love into this magazine, to give you something that can truly help with inspiration and practical support. Now, grab a pot, a patch of soil, or a sunny windowsill. Let’s get growing.

NEW HOME DIY

Starts Monday 6th, 17.00

Dave Wellman lends an expert hand to people who have moved house and need some emergency DIY help, fixing problems quickly and saving the day.

Danny Clarke doesn’t start with Latin plant names or showy garden makeovers. He starts with something you can do in 30 seconds.

“Just go out there and enjoy the space”, he says. “Take your shoes off and go barefoot on the lawn, pick up the earth and smell it, listen to the tweeting of the birds.”

Together TV viewers will know Danny well. He has been the face of the Sunflower Challenge since it first launched in 2021, cheering growers on and reminding everyone that the point is not perfection - it’s showing up for yourself. You might also recognise him from The Instant Gardener, where he helped people transform neglected outdoor spaces fast. And across projects with Alan Titchmarsh, where his calm, practical style has made him a familiar primetime presence.

Off-screen, Danny talks about gardening as a reset button, not a project. “Don’t see it as work”, he tells us.

LEARNING TO NOTICE

Danny’s outlook wasn’t shaped by perfect borders. It was shaped by paying attention.

He traces that back to Jo Bryant, the first person who took a chance on him as a gardener. In the early 90s recession, Danny was in sales, “selling coffee machines to businesses”. Then the work dried up. “We couldn’t sell our equipment for coffee, so I was struggling to put food on the table, to pay my bills”.

Jo had “failing health” and needed help with the heavy work. The pay might not be huge, but Danny says, “what she gave me was absolutely amazing”. He still remembers arriving on wet, miserable mornings and Jo greeting the weather like it was a gift: “What a dramatic day. Look at those grey skies: doesn’t the wind feel fabulous on your face?”

Then she’d pull him over mid-task: “Look at this spider’s web: doesn’t the dew on it look wonderful?”. Jo taught him to see nature like “through a child’s eyes”. Danny remembers being “fixated” by tiny things as a kid, then losing that as he grew up. “She kind of reacquainted me with my childhood”.

NATURE IS A GLUE

For Danny it’s not about plants, it’s about people. “Gardening does that. It forms connections, it gives us a commonality, it’s a glue. Nature is a glue”. He feels it when he’s out walking. “You’re more likely to engage with a person when you’re connecting with nature”. And he’s seen it through Together TV’s Sunflower Challenge too. He loved when a viewer who connected with a Ukrainian

LET THE GARDEN SET THE PACE

Notice what’s happening today: light, birds, wind, damp soil, new shoots.

DO THE SMALLEST THING THAT FEELS MANAGEABLE

Sit down for five minutes. Water one pot. Pull a couple of weeds. Then stop.

USE THE GARDEN AS A RESET SPACE, NOT A PROJECT

You’re not “failing” if you don’t complete a job. You still got the benefit.

LET ENJOYMENT LEAD TO ACTION

Once you feel calmer, you might naturally do a bit more. If you don’t, that’s fine too.

refugee family living nearby. For Danny, that’s the whole point. “If one person has benefited from the challenge, just one person, I think we’ve done our job”.

THE NAME THAT OPENED CONVERSATIONS

Danny’s public profile grew from a decision he made when he was building a gardening business and trying to be found online. “At the time, I’d never come across another black, professional black gardener”, he says. So he picked a name people would remember: The Black Gardener. “It would also cause discussions, it’s provocative, so it would open up conversations.”

Sometimes it was instant and unexpected. “People would shout at me in traffic, and they’d say, ‘I love it. What a great name’”.

DANNY’S ADVICE FOR YOUR SUNFLOWER

He keeps it simple, and he makes it feel doable. “Everyone can garden. If you can dig a hole and put a plant in it, you can garden”. But his real advice is about what happens around the growing. “Just go out there and enjoy the space”. “Don’t see it as work”. Or, as he puts it: “Don’t go to the garden. Let the garden come to you”.

FROM NEW HOMES TO OLD AIRCRAFT

Dave Wellman and DIY that works

If you know Dave Wellman from New Home DIY, you probably picture him with a drill, a tape measure, and that calm voice that makes a job feel doable. He’s been helping Together TV viewers tackle everyday home jobs for years, step by step.

What you might not know is that his skills now stretch well beyond the garden fence. These days, Dave also works on aircraft - the kind you see in old photos, with fabric wings and open cockpits. “The last couple of years, I’ve been renovating vintage aircraft”, he tells us. “Specialising in Tiger Moths. 30s aircraft”. “All of my work gets checked periodically by the Civil Aviation Authority”, Dave says. “CAA are paramount in this situation”. And the checks are backed up by proper evidence. “I have to take glue samples each time I mix up a batch of glue”, he explains. “Everything is catalogued, every single thing”. It sounds far removed from fitting a shelf. But the principle is familiar: take your time, follow the steps, and keep learning.

A GENTLE

APPROACH

That’s also why viewers connect so strongly with him on screen. Dave never tries to be louder than the job in front of him. “It was the gentle teaching approach that I think people found much easier to listen to”, he says. “People become slightly put off by that over-gregarious kind of character where you’ve got to smash it hard - it doesn’t work”.

He even pushed back when someone wanted him to dial up the persona. “I had a meeting with the TV company filming the show and I said, ‘you’ve already employed me, and I’m not that’,” he recalls. “We had a lovely guy called Mike Villiers Smith, who was my director, very warm – and this allowed to be myself and chat to people”. That “chat” feeling is exactly what makes New Home DIY stand out. It’s practical, but it never talks down to you. “I think the essence of it is: people do find it like they’re having a conversation with a friend”, Dave says. Ask Dave about a moment he still remembers, and he goes straight to the episode that turned into a battle with the British weather. “That week, it rained torrentially”, he says. “That episode was called Watergate - the little stream by the side of the house became a raging torrent. It was like a river”.

LEARNING IS MAKING

MISTAKES

For Dave, the biggest barrier to DIY isn’t the tools or the technique. It’s confidence - and the fear of being judged. “I think what puts people off is other people and their opinions,” he says. “People can be very judgemental about some people’s efforts. The fear of doing something wrong is always there. They’d rather not do it than do it wrong”.

His response is simple. “Part of learning anything is making mistakes”, Dave says. “It’s important.” He is also clear that there isn’t just one “right” way to do a job. “There are many ways of doing something”, he says. “Not all of them are right for everybody. Try a few

“I’ve been renovating vintage aircraft – specialising in Tiger Moths. ”

DAVE'S DIY QUICK TIPS

Measure twice, cut once saving time and materials. There are many ways of doing something: find the best way for you.

Part of learning anything is making mistakes. If it’s wood, use screws over nails for stronger joins and a neater finish.

different ways and select the best way for you”. And he still gets the same buzz, no matter the scale. “The instant thing is the sense of achievement” he tells us. “I get a buzz out of stuff, seeing something finished in a good way. It starts to look like something”. Right now, that “something” includes a big build project on the ground too. “Now I’m building a cabin for someone: 12 metres by six metres”, he says. “So it’s a house.”

If you’re planning your own spring projects, borrow Dave’s approach: start small, ignore the noise, and give yourself space to learn in your own time.

Because if the man our viewers trust to talk them through a wonky shelf is also trusted to restore a Tiger Moth, your planter box suddenly feels a lot less intimidating.

FROM BARRISTER TO GARDEN NINJA

Lee Burkhill on the prank wars of Garden Rescue - and why gardening knowledge should be free

Lee Burkhill has taken a route into gardening that most people don’t. He went to university, started out in IT, then did a law degree and was called to the bar. “I started to work for a big blue chip IT company”, he tells us. After around a decade, it caught up with him. “I could just feel myself getting really burnt out”.

His husband pushed him towards what he actually loved. Lee remembers saying, “That’s a hobby”. Still, he signed up for a garden design course. Then RHS exams. “Always on weekends”. Then came the break that changed everything. “I won a competition with the BBC as a new designer with the RHS, and then it just kind of snowballed”.

“My whole driving force really is probably to share way too much knowledge — hoping that other people can just enjoy the garden.”

OPENING UP THE GARDEN GATE

What drives him now is access. When he was learning, he says “everything was locked away in books and courses and in groups”. So, he decided to do the opposite, to “open it all the

way up”. That’s the heart of Garden Ninja - his blog and YouTube channel. “My whole driving force really is probably to share way too much knowledge”, he laughs, “hoping that other people just can enjoy the garden”. “If you need to know it, I’ll show you, and there’s no barrier to it.”

LIFE BEHIND THE SCENES

You’ll know Lee from Garden Rescue, alongside Charlie Dimmock in the last six seasons. On camera, he’s calm and precise. Off camera? It can be absolute chaos. “On a specific episode, Charlie wanted to do everything”, he recalls, “she reluctantly gave up one section for me to build. So she threw a slug at me, which then got stuck in my hair while I was on camera”. That turned into a long-running prank war across shoots. Soil in hair. Slugs. Trying not to laugh while presenting.

Lee’s view is simple. A garden should help you live, not just look good for a reveal. “I’m not going to give you an easy garden”, he says. “I want you to have to do something in there, because then you’ll engage, and then you’ll start to get the benefits”.

You can watch Lee on Garden Rescue and can read his top tips as well as watching free tutorials on gardenninja. co.uk

DON’T FEAR HEIGHT

Don’t panic that a plant gets to six, nine, 12 feet tall - we can use that as a focal point.

PRUNING RULE

Only prune spring-flowering shrubs after they flower, or you’ll cut off all the buds.

GO BIGGER WITH POTS

Tiny pots mean watering every day, often twice a day. One bigger pot is easier.

WELCOME TO TOGETHER TV’S SUNFLOWER CHALLENGE 2026!

Are you ready to grow the happiest flower to brighten your days during the warmer seasons?

You don’t need to be a gardening expert like Charlie Dimmock in Garden Rescue - if it’s your first time growing a flower from a seed, let’s have some fun! In this magazine you’ll find:

1. Sunflower Seeds (look in the envelope this magazine came in!)

2. A weekly calendar to pull out to track your progress each week on page 18-19.

3. A sunflower poster to colour in and stick on your window

4. Lots of inspiring stories from viewers and gardening experts

First things first, check your inbox! If you haven’t filled in the wellbeing check in you received via email, please do that now. No email? Please get in touch if you can’t find it anymore on campaigns@togethertv.com

Then, it’s time to sow! We recommend you sow your sunflower seeds indoors to keep them safe and warm for the first few weeks. You don’t need a big space, just a windowsill or a little corner in a well-lit area of your home Keeping them inside will help with germination and keep any other pesky creatures away from disturbing them in the beginning stages. Exclusive videos with step by step how to and more resources have been sent to you via email. You will receive a message via email (or text, if you prefer that) each week with tips and videos from our beloved gardening experts and friendly creators who will help you stay on track. Keep an eye on your inbox - it may go to spam. A good idea is to add our email address to your contacts. Make sure you don’t miss them because there will be many exciting surprises along the way. Teacher and content creator Jayne Hickling will share sunflower growing advice with all of us

From allotment to Community

What began as growing food for her own family has grown into something that now feeds, connects, and supports entire communities. In uncertain times, there’s something powerfully hopeful about planting a seed and seeing what might grow. For Jayne Hickling (@allotmentcooks), gardening has always been about more than the end result. “Gardening isn’t a hobby for me”, she says. “It’s a way of life.”

Ten minutes, then tea

For Francesca Chadwick (diaryofayorkshiregardener), gardening didn’t start with grand plans. It began with “the odd basil plant on my windowsill”, before turning into something bigger during the first lockdown in 2020. “I was stuck working from home in IT, so it was just based on a laptop every day”, she says. “Growing got me outside for fresh air - it just became a bit of a lifeline”.

Now based in Yorkshire, she keeps it realistic and family friendly. “gardening fits around family life rather than competing with it. So, I tend to do little and often, even if it’s just 10 minutes while little ones are having a nap”, she explains.

With more than 30 years of growing experience, Jayne comes from a long line of gardeners. She can trace her family history back to the 16th century as kitchen gardeners on the Royal Windsor Estates. “It’s almost in my DNA”, she says.

Her life is busy. With teaching four days a week, creating online content and getting involved in her local community, time is her biggest challenge, she says. That’s why she’s careful with beginners. People can get carried away early on. “They spend a lot of money on it, they spend a lot of time on it, and it becomes too overwhelming.” Her advice is simple: “You have to take it in little steps.” She did exactly that when she first took on an allotment. It was November. “The only thing that I could actually plant out at that time was garlic. So, I just sorted out that area just for the garlic”, she recalls. “It is a journey and you’re constantly learning, you’re constantly changing, adapting”. Growing food also taught her a practical lesson: “Focus on what you want and what you like”. She still laughs about the things she grew out of habit rather than choice. “There’s no right or wrong way to do it. It’s got to work for you.”

During the 2020 lockdown, Jayne brought gardening to her pupils with a tomato-growing challenge. “You’ve got a tomato in your fridge, take the seeds out, sow them, let’s see who can get the biggest tomato plant”, she says. “Everyone else was panic buying toilet rolls. I was panic buying a pop-up greenhouse”. That instinct to share has only grown. “Last year, we’ve actually grown enough to feed and support 600 people every single week throughout the summer”, she remembers. For her, the proudest moment is simple: “Getting other people growing, that’s the real achievement”. Sunflowers hold a special place for Jayne. “They are just happy plants”, she says. “Gardening isn’t about getting everything right the first time. Weather changes, slugs appear, seedlings fail and that’s all part of it. What matters is trying, learning and being part of the process”. Her advice for this year’s Sunflower Challenge is “follow the guidance, grow at your pace, and don’t worry if things don’t go to plan”. Sunflowers remind us that growth is rarely perfect - but it’s always better when shared.

As weather in the north can vary quite a lot, her advice to anyone in this part of the country goes back to making the most out of “pockets of good weather”. However, springtime is the best time for preparation, “making sure I’ve got my spaces planned out, where I want to grow things where, and then I go through my seed varieties, make sure that’s all organised”, she advises. Gardening can be the answer to growing produce for your own food, for Francesca this is her reality. “I had nearly 200 cherry tomatoes on one single plant. And when I harvested those, I realised how many things I could make out of them”, she recalls. “With a couple more plants, I could fill a freezer of pasta sauce to use over winter.”

Francesca found that gardening taught her resilience. “When something doesn’t work, you learn from it and try again”, she says. This mindset has stayed with her beyond the garden too. It’s always a bit of trial and error “some years everything works beautifully, and other years it doesn’t - that’s just part of growing”.

Throughout her time gardening, community has come into the core of her experience. “The gardening community online is huge, but there’s nothing like being in person at the allotment”. “Sharing seeds, harvests and conversations with people who love growing as much as I do is incredibly special”, she explains.

Francesca has a soft spot for sunflowers. She explains that her favourite part is watching the flowers follow the sun. “They’re easy, joyful and suit gardeners at any stage”. Growing sunflowers means taking part in something collective, hopeful and quietly joyful.

Finding calm, one seed at a time

How Leslie’s garden helped her slow down and begin again

Leslie lives in Glasgow, and like many Together TV viewers, she didn’t set out to become a gardener. But when life was at its hardest - through illness, isolation and long days indoors - her garden became the place where she could breathe, slow down, and begin again. “It doesn’t even have to be a big garden,” Leslie says. “It can be a window box.”

Since moving there, she says gardening has become a steady presence in her everyday life. During periods of isolation and illness, it’s offered a way to step outside, breathe and reconnect with the natural world. “The garden has been a lifesaver. It was the one place I could go and just be in nature.”

FINDING PEACE IN THE GARDEN

Her days start off gently. From her kitchen window, Leslie watches the birds arrive, noticing how their behaviour changes with the seasons - small rituals that help her slow down and stay in the now. “When you’re in the garden, you have to be in the moment. It only does what it does when it’s ready.”

After being diagnosed with cancer, she found herself spending more time outdoors. Gardening gave her something steady to focus on something that asked for care but never rushed her.

She describes her treatment as a kind of winter - a time when life feels paused, stripped back and uncertain. But like the garden, winter was never the end of the story. When Leslie

goes into the garden and starts doing what comes naturally to her, she begins to realise that focusing on growing something like sunflowers leads to everything else melting away. “You’re concentrating on one thing, and the noise just drops away” she says.

During this quieter time, Leslie also turned to reading, finding comfort in books that helped her reflect, understand her experiences, and feel less alone. “I’ve just turned 67 and I am starting again.” Now in her late sixties, Leslie talks openly about starting again - not in spite of everything she’s been through, but because of it.

“You plant a seed, you give it a little care, and suddenly it grows. That’s hope.”

SEEDS OF HOPE

Why sunflowers, you may ask? When she was first diagnosed, she had a dream. She was travelling up a river, surrounded by small faces, all covered in sunflowers. The link between babies and sunflowers made Leslie think of new beginnings as well as a symbol of new, blank pages.

From that moment on, sunflowers became something deeply personal. Planting their seeds felt hopeful, a small act of faith in what could still grow. “You plant a seed, you give it a little care, and suddenly it grows. That’s hope.”

As the sunflowers grew, the garden quietly became a place of connection. Neighbours stopped to chat. Children returned year after year to ask if the sunflowers were growing again. One girl even told Leslie she didn’t have a garden - just a pot. “That’s good enough” Leslie told her. Leslie believes gardening doesn’t need expertise, space or perfection. A pot, a windowsill, or a small patch of soil is enough. What matters is the care you give and the time you allow.

She teaches us that growth doesn’t need to be rushed, just like gardening. Even in life’s hardest lessons, something meaningful can still take root.

Tristan Loraine reflects on Susan’s campaign, the Chelsea rose named for her and his unfinished work

Arose can carry a whole story.

At the Chelsea Flower Show, a new rose was named ‘Dr Susan Michaelis’. For Tristan Loraine, it is not simply a plant. It is his wife Susan’s name living on in gardens, and a way into a story many still file under “women’s issues”, until it lands in their own home.

“She was doing a blood transfusion in hospital, having just had chemotherapy, and she was doing a Zoom call with the previous health secretary, Victoria Atkins”, Tristan tells us. “Two days before she died”. Susan was diagnosed in 2013. Over the next decade, she campaigned for better awareness and research into lobular breast cancer, a type that can be harder to detect and can behave differently from other breast cancers. Tristan’s frustration is not abstract. It comes from watching her go through treatment after treatment, while the disease continued to progress.

“My wife had been given eight different generic breast cancer treatments”, he says. “None of them could stop the disease progressing and killing her”. Even near the end, Tristan says, Susan kept pushing for change as someone living the consequences of a system that still lumps very different cancers together. “Victoria Atkins said, ‘Susan, you’re like one in a million. You are just so rare’”.

the number of men who have helped”, he says. “People need to wake up. This is their wife, their daughter”. This goes beyond medicine. Illness brings a long grind into family life: appointments, admin, pressure on work, sleep, and mental health, plus the quiet fear that settles in. It is where many men sit, wanting to fix things, but not knowing what to do with the helplessness.

“My wife had been given eight different generic breast cancer treatments. None of them could stop the disease progressing and killing her.”

WHEN IT BECOMES PERSONAL

Now Tristan is trying to make sure Susan’s story lands with the people who too often look away: men. In his experience, breast cancer campaigns can feel distant until a partner, sister, daughter or friend is diagnosed. Even then, he says, many men assume their role is simply to be supportive, without realising how much power they have to help drive action and demand better. “I can count on one hand

TURNING GRIEF INTO ACTION

This April, Tristan and fellow campaigners plan silent vigils across the UK, calling for targeted funding and faster progress. “The great success would be the government say, ‘Okay, we agree to fund this’”, he says. “If we truly are democratic, then if 73% of MPs tell you to fund this, then do it”. The rose will bloom, fade, and bloom again. Tristan holds onto that. Susan’s name now lives in gardens, not as a tribute, but as a reminder. If it helps women get the right treatment, and men show up and stay present, then her work is still growing today.

THE MOTHER TERESA OF THE BLOCK

Joyclen Buffong and the true story behind Superheroes Wear Hoodies

The Mother Teresa of the block.”

That’s what one young person called Joyclen Buffong in Superheroes Wear Hoodies. Joyclen hadn’t watched any early edits. She saw the finished documentary for the first time like any viewer at home and that line caught her off guard. “It was a surprise”, she tells us laughing. Then she pauses. Because it wasn’t really a joke. It was a young person naming what it feels like when an adult keeps turning up even when things are messy.

“Young people as young as 12 were giving up their Saturdays to help tackle food poverty.”

A COMMUNITY RISING TOGETHER

Joyclen is the founder of RISE.365, based in Hackney. During the pandemic, when lockdown cut people off from everyday support, RISE.365 became a lifeline. Local young volunteers delivered food, ran a community shop and checked in on neighbours who couldn’t get out. Ask Joyclen what drives her and she doesn’t dress it up. “It’s my purpose. I believe it’s my purpose in life: to support young people and community and to be that advocate” she tells us. That spirit sits at the heart of Superheroes Wear Hoodies directed by Jason Osborne and funded and supported by Together TV. It’s a short documentary about young people stepping up in a crisis and about a neighbourhood backing them - including “young people, as young as 12, volunteering their whole Saturdays to alleviate food poverty” Joyclen recalls. After it aired, she felt the mood shift. “They became mini stars in their community” she says.

Teachers referenced the film in schools. People recognised the young volunteers and stopped them for a chat. The point wasn’t fame - it was being seen differently in the place that matters most. Joyclen still uses the documentary as a way to explain RISE.365 to people who don’t know them. “To this day we still recommend people. I say: watch this first and then we’ll have the meeting” she explains.

TRUST AT THE HEART

Part of why the film works is trust. Joyclen is clear that Jason didn’t arrive with assumptions. “He didn’t come with his own agenda. He really wanted to showcase the true story” she adds. And for Joyclen the shop itself was never only about groceries. “It’s not just a food shop. It’s where people can come and speak, connect with neighbours and get support. It became a real space of hope for people.” Many of us look at problems around us and think “It shouldn’t be like this”. Joyclen’s story is a reminder that change often starts smaller than we imagine: one person noticing, a few people stepping up, a community choosing to see its own young people differently. And sometime a documentary that helps the rest of us see it too.

FUNDING DIVERSE FILMS

What immediately struck Together TV was “the authenticity of Jason’s story.”

Janet Olaofe is the Head of Content at Together TV and has been leading documentaries funded and supported by Together TV to “create a bridge into the industry so emerging filmmakers can build lasting careers.” On collaborating with director Jason Osborne, Olaofe describes him as “passionate, thoughtful, and deeply committed to the community he represents.” She also notes Osborne “brought

a clear vision and a deep connection to the community at the heart of the film,” something that resonates with audiences. She explains that platforms like ours promote work that is “urgent and necessary.” Together TV stands to provide emerging film opportunities.

• 1 tsp sugar (optional, stirred into the coffee)

METHOD

Make the coffee and set it aside to cool completely.

In a large bowl, whip the vegan double cream and icing sugar using a hand mixer until firm peaks form.

In a separate bowl, whisk the vegan cream cheese until smooth and looser in texture. Add the cream cheese and vanilla to the whipped cream

and whisk until fully combined and thick.

Quickly dip each biscuit into the coffee, turning it over twice so it’s soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked biscuits in your dish.

Spoon over a layer of cream. Repeat with a second layer of biscuits and finish with cream on top.

Dust generously with cocoa powder.

Chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours before serving. Overnight is even better.

Stories, sunflowers and saving lives this spring

As the clocks go forward and spring begins to be sprung, we are delighted you are joining us for our Sunflower Challenge 2026. This is the fourth time we have run the Challenge, with the aim of encouraging people to try something new, start getting green-fingers, and go on a fun, engaging growing journey with thousands of other Together TV viewers.

After twelve weeks of nurturing your sunflowers to full bloom we hope you will have got the gardening bug - and get into all things green on your windowsill or garden, or join a local community gardening group.

As Leslie, our Sunflower Queen, reminds us, during tough times gardening gives us hope and joy, something to look forward to and a way to celebrate nature. Leslie inspired us to start the Sunflower Challenge back in lockdown. In the first year we were overwhelmed with the response with fifty thousand viewers signing up to receive a seed kit and take part over the following twelve weeks. We had to stop there as we couldn’t afford to send out any more kits!

Hundreds of community groups were part of this too – schools, Scouts, prisons, housing associations and mutual aids – participating collectively and proud of their achievements.

We also ask you to complete Wellbeing Check-Ins so we can track the positive effect of

taking part in the Challenge – we’ve had over ninety thousand responses so far from all over the UK. Some of our growers even organise street parties with competitions with their kids and grandchildren to see who has grown the tallest sunflower or the most sunflowers.

Many of our growers give sunflowers away to family, friends or just to lift the spirits of people they know who need it.

This year we will hit a quarter of a million participants in the Sunflower Challenge – this year with the pull-out and magazine for the first time - and we love it.

A big thank you to you for signing up for this magazine, watching Together TV and taking part in the Sunflower Challenge.

The more you get involved the more you’ll enjoy it – and if you stick with it across the emails, website resources, how-to videos and sunflower selfie galleries, there are certificates and prizes waiting for you at the end.

You’re why we’re here and what makes it worthwhile for all of us at Together TV. Have a brilliant spring and enjoy the Sunflower Challenge!
