$1,000 By Margo McCutcheon, Educator, Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site We’re having Sam Rayburn Day at the Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Celebrate Sam Rayburn’s birthday with crafts, games, and cake! This free program is our first program of the year, and why not start off the 250th anniversary of the United States of America with a party honoring the longest
serving Speaker of the House in U.S. history? Tours of the Sam Rayburn House occur on the hour and cost regular admission during this program. We are located at 890 W. State Hwy 56 in Bonham, TX. Four teams of two players each will face off against each other answering questions about all aspects
of the U.S.A. on January 23rd from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Teams must pay $1.00 per player for entry into the quiz, and the winners get a prize! Registration is required, and the registration deadline is January 18th. Contact the Sam Rayburn House to register. If you’d like to participate in this quiz but can’t make it on January 23rd, then contact us!
