GLOBAL EXPORT ACCELERATOR PROJECT (GEAP) The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber (NMBBC) is calling for applications from all qualifying Black-owned SMEs to be part of The Global Business Accelerator Project (GEAP). The GEAP is aimed at stimulating job creation and income generation of Black-owned SME’s to heighten their global competitiveness and ability to grow their markets internationally. GIZ is committed to the programme and since its inception, the programme will provide an opportunity to 40 companies to be trained, mentored and introduced to export markets. Project Outcomes: Target SME's reached with our interventions are in new additional jobs, 35% are women Target SME's increased their employment status by either increasing their incomes by at least 10% or improved their job security by being upskilled Enterprises improve their business capacity by achieving a turnover increase of at least 10%
Project Duration: 1 March 2022 - 30 June 2023
Programme Criteria Participants will be required to complete a desktop study on international markets Participants will additionally be required to develop an export marketing plan under the guidance of their associated mentors Participants will be expected to execute the marketing plan to gain access to international markets
