The Senior School Music Program at The International School Bangalore (TISB) is a comprehensive and inclusive initiative designed to nurture creativity, technical skill, and a lifelong appreciation for music Through a structured curriculum and individual lessons in both Western and Hindustani vocal and instrumental styles, students from Grades 6 to 12 engage in weekly training with expert instructors Co-curricular music clubs including choir, orchestra, jazz, guitar, and keyboard enhance ensemble playing and collaboration Regular performance opportunities such as monthly grade-wise recitals, termly senior recitals, a Winter Concert, and an End-of-Year Showcase promote confidence and stage presence. The curriculum evolves from foundational music appreciation in Grades 6–8 to the IGCSE and IBDP frameworks in higher grades, fostering composition, performance, and musical analysis Student leadership is encouraged through roles such as Music Prefects and involvement in student-led events like TISB’s Got Talent and House Music competitions. The Marching Band adds ceremonial flair to Sports Day, rounding off a vibrant program that empowers every student to explore and express their musical voice.

Please note that the formal school uniform including formal black shoes and tie will be compulsory for all students of the senior school on the following occasions from the start of the next academic year:

At TISB we have four Houses - Discoverers, Explorers, Pioneers, and Voyagers and each student and staff member are associated with a House Throughout the year there are several inter-House competitions, and the House system is also associated with our Rewards & Sanctions Policy New students will be informed of which House they are to be in during the first week of school.
Please ensure that you have sent all the required documentation requested in the Offer Letter including past reports, Parent Agreement Form, Student Medical History Form, Local Guardian Form (Boarding families only) and the Non-Local Guardian Form.
If you do NOT wish your son or daughter to appear in any photographs or other publications then please email Dr Rajni (brajni@tisbacin) and Mr Naveen (tnaveen@tisbacin) clearly giving the name and grade along with a photo of your son or daughter for reference.
