The Primary Years Programme (PYP) primarily adopts an inquiry-based approach, fostering students' development of conceptual understandings. As students delve into a diverse array of topics aligned with the Programme of Inquiry overview, relying solely on one textbook to support the curriculum and learning objectives is not feasible. However, to ensure parents are kept informed about the learning occurring in the classroom, they receive both a yearly curriculum overview and a weekly update These updates comprehensively outline the objectives and learning activities happening in the classroom, providing parents with valuable insights into their child's educational journey
You can find the Term Dates for the current academic year in our website. Please note that the dates are subject to changes often, so it is always important to refer to the website to be get the up-to-date information.

We make it a point in Primary Years to value a holistic approach to child development. As part of this, children are given the opportunity to take instrumental or voice lessons These instrumental lessons are paid and are different from the regular music lessons that are part of the curriculum. Students are taken out of their regular class for these lessons; however, we ensure that they do not miss the same subject every week A form will be sent at the start of the academic year for enrollment. Children are also given the chance to show what they have learned through participation in recitals, which are after school events
For any queries regarding transport and bus routes, or to book your place on the school transport, please contact Sam Tours (tisbtransport@samtoursntravels.com).
