OWEGO Animal Mosaic Series: Ceremony & Ribbon Cutting
Tioga Arts Council (TAC), and its project partners the Owego Rotary Club and Artist, Emily Jablon, Jablon Studios, are honored to announce the official unveiling of the OWEGO Animal Mosaic Series. To mark this momentous occasion, there was a small Ceremony & Ribbon Cutting on Wednesday, October 1, at at the alley located between 55-57 North Avenue, Owego. (Between Roasted Coffee and Golden Seam Bridal buildings.) The mosaics are located at 57 North Avenue.
The OWEGO Animals Mosaic Series is a pentaptych—each individual panel is 2.5’ x 2.5’ and features an individual animal mosaic adhered to a panel, grouted and caulked with water-resistant materials. The animals selected for the project are all native to New York State, and represent various, local wildlife. Apalachin Lions Fall Highway Clean-Up
This year’s corn maze at Stoughton Farm is the “Under the Sea.” Located at 10898 State Route 38 in Newark Valley, Stoughton Farm’s MAiZE opened for the season on September 27 and will run till November 2. As in the past, they are offering hay rides, cow train rides, Pumpkin Blaster, Corn Cannon, 32' X 65' Jumping Pillow and 'Friendly Fire', a Nerf Battleground!
Apalachin Lions Walk-Up Mobile Food Pantry
The Apalachin Lions held their annual Fall Highway Clean-Up on Saturday, October 4th. Thank you to the Apalachin Lions Club for your hard work and dedication to the community.
Apalachin Lions 2025 Annual Coat Drive The Apalachin Lions are holding their Annual Coat Drive now through November 23. The Lions collect clean, useable winter coats for those in need. If you have any useable winter coats that you want to donate, bring the coats to one of the following drop off locations:
The Apalachin Lions and the Foodbank Of The Southern Tier will hold a Mobile Food Pantry on Wednesday, October 22, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary’s Church, 1110 Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin.
