ALDI is Now Open in Owego!
Aldi held their ribbon cutting on Thursday April 3rd at 8:30 am at their newest location on route 17c in Owego, (across the street from the former Grand Union that closed last month). Hundreds of shoppers waited in line to be the first to shop at the new store. Remember to support your local merchants, John’s Market and The Community Shop in Owego and Sweeney’s Market in Apalachin.

Opening Day of 74th Season of Owego Little League - April 26
You are cordially invited to attend the parade and opening day ceremonies for Owego Little League 74th season on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The parade will begin forming at 8:00 am in front of the Owego Police Department on Temple Street and will begin promptly at 8:30 am. The field ceremonies will begin at 9:00 am at Hyde Park, with all players, coaches, league offi-
cials, and sponsors being represented. If you wish to take part in the parade and/or opening ceremonies, please contact Owego Little League at owegolittleleague@gmail.com to confirm as soon as possible. Owego Little League members hope to see you on April 26th to help them celebrate their 74th season!
The Apalachin Lions Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, behind BOCES West School on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin. New free Digital Vision screening for kids, Kids ID’s by the Tioga County Sheriff Department and Children’s book give away by the O-A Family Reading Partnership. Please bring a non-perishable food item for our local food pantry. Every one is Welcome. (rain date April 19)
