After decades of growth, innovation and investment into our teams and local communities, Tingdene Group Foundation was established in 2025 as a dedicated platform to share and celebrate the positive impact the business creates. From community initiatives and charitable partnerships, to environmental projects and team development, the Foundation showcases the breadth of our commitment to making a difference.

Let’s start with the bit you’re probably wanting to know the most! You will be paid on the 28th of each month. Where this falls on a bank holiday/weekend, pay will usually be processed on the nearest weekday before the 28th.
Please make sure you have provided us with your updated bank details. If you need to change these at any point, you can do this via email on hr@tingdene.net.
We believe our team deserve a good break to recharge their batteries, so we are pleased to offer an annual leave entitlement of 32 days per annum, inclusive of bank holidays for full-time team members (pro-rata for part time team members).
To request annual leave, head to the HR Hub to submit your request to your line manager. They will show you how to do this.
Our leave period runs from January 1st to December 31st each year. We actively encourage our team to utilise their leave entitlement- we don’t want any burnouts. As part of this, we don’t allow holidays to be carried over, so all annual leave must be taken within the year.
We get it, from time to time everyone has an “off-day”, we try to look after our team as best we can, and expect you to look after yourself in the same way. If you are unable to make it into work, please contact your line
manager at least an hour before you’re due to start work. Please refer to the Company’s Absence Management policy in the employee handbook for more information.
Some of our job roles require the team member to be working alone for periods of time. If this is the case with your role, please speak with your line manager who can advise what the lone working procedures are at your location or site.
Occasionally, you may need to travel to another Tingdene Group site, or on behalf of the company for work-related reasons. In such cases, we offer business mileage to help cover your travel costs.
If you’re using your own vehicle for business travel, please make sure your motor insurance covers business use. For any questions about this, feel free to reach out to the Health and Safety team.
Should you ever need to cover business expenses out of pocket, there’s no need to worry, reimbursement is simple. Just speak with your line manager first, and they’ll walk you through the process.
We understand that your life doesn’t begin and end at work, and we want all of our team to find that sweet spot of work/ life balance. Our family-friendly policies, such as enhanced maternity/paternity and shared parental leave, ensure that you know your family life is just as important to us!
Richard Branson once said “Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to”. We’re big advocates for developing the skills of all our team, for all roles in the organisation. Whatever your ambitions, and drivers, we create tailored Personal Development plans to support your career. Unless you want to be a Rocket Scientist… we might struggle with that one!
We undertake appraisals on a yearly basis, and we encourage you to be open and honest with your feedback.
No, we’re not talking about showing off your juggling skills to our customers. We’re talking communication styles and how to represent the organisation.
Here are a few tips to help you on your journey at Tingdene Group:
Representing the organisation:
We expect you to present yourself and Tingdene Group in the best possible way in all interactions, whether that’s internally or externally. Treat others with respect and remember our company values and beliefs!
Effective Communication:
Effective Communication isn’t just about what you say –it’s also about how you say it and the method you choose. While emails are convenient, sometimes a quick phone call can save time and build stronger connections. At Tingdene Group, we value the ability to pick up the phone and have a conversation with a colleague. This direct communication not only fosters a vibrant workplace

culture but also ensures clarity and understanding. Of course, we understand that emails are a way of the world and still need to be sent, so just remember to keep these professional and respectful and avoid the use of emojis. If you’d like more information or assistance on company email etiquette, let your line manager or buddy know!
Who doesn’t love celebrating their birthday? We certainly do! That’s why every team member at Tingdene Group is gifted an additional day off for their birthday. Even better news - this doesn’t have to be used on your actual birthday, and can be used any time throughout the year. So, if you want to celebrate in style on your special day or use it to book a hair appointment later in the year, we don’t mind- just enjoy the extra gift!
We believe in making a difference - not just in our industry, but in our communities too. That’s why every team member at Tingdene Group is given an additional paid day off each year to spend volunteering for a cause that matters to them. Whether it’s supporting a local charity, helping out at a school, or taking part in a community clean-up, it’s your chance to give back in a way that’s meaningful to you. Pick a cause, choose a day, and go make a positive impact—we’ll cheer you on all the way!

On the topic of looking after our team, we want to make sure everyone has access to support where needed. This could be your line manager, our HR team, or a colleague. When a listening ear may not be enough, we have a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme for you to access. They provide counselling support for a range of topics, as well as general advice on wellbeing. Log in to our team portal to find out more.

We truly value team spirit, which is why you’ll occasionally be invited to join in on team social events. These may be with your immediate team or with the wider group, but either way, you’re in for a great time! One of the highlights of the year is our company-wide End of Year Party. As one Tingdene Group we come together at a stunning venue to celebrate, connect, and dance the night away. It’s a fantastic opportunity to mingle with colleagues and enjoy an unforgettable evening!

Integral to our core values, we at Tingdene Group are striving to make sustainability and awareness of the environment a part of everything we do. We encourage everyone to play a role in this, and we run a Sustainability Team across the group to develop initiatives and coordinate ideas.
