Dear Members,
It is hard to believe that this will be my final letter to my fellow members as President. The year really has flown by. I finish the year very grateful for the tremendous support all of you have provided to make this a great year for our Club. So many of you have personally thanked me, provided your input, told me the things that you love about our Club, and the things that we can improve. I’ve learned a great deal about this place, and have gotten to know many of you better. It’s been an extraordinary experience.
I’m also grateful for all we have accomplished. Our clubhouse and facilities are in top condition, and we are on track and budget to keep them that way. The final touches to our golf course renovation have it in the best condition it’s ever been in. Our new Golf Performance Center and Pickleball Facility will be opening in mid-May. The Performance Center is going to be a tremendous place for our golf staff to teach, and for all of our golfers to sharpen their game. This is also going to be a perfect place for our members to gather and a unique venue for events. Likewise, the Pickleball Facility will be a fun place for players to gather for competition and practice, as well as a great venue for socializing.
These projects also mark the realization of a long-time aspiration for the Club to fully utilize one of our greatest assets: additional land. Unlike many peer clubs we have room to expand. This has allowed us to improve our golf course, and now to add additional facilities to enhance our member experience. This is really a testament to the disciplined, prudent, and thoughtful husbanding of resources that the leaders of the Club have made a priority for more than 100 years. While other clubs might have sold or mortgaged off chunks of property to meet the crisis of the day, the leaders of our Club have held on to our greatest asset, our land and campus. This has really given us a legacy that we enjoy every day, and will enjoy in the future.
We have also passed a dues increase. While it’s never a pleasant thing to deal with increased costs and the need for our dues to track those costs, this is a reality. Our dues
have been and continue to be far less than other clubs in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. Over the last few years we have been in the process of setting dues to be consistent with the cost of running the club, and providing the kind of amenities, service, and experience that our membership expects. We’ve made great strides in achieving this with this most recent set of dues increases. While not easy, this has also been a prudent and appropriate measure to ensure our continued success.
One of the reasons that this year has been so productive and enjoyable is that I have been surrounded and supported by my fellow Board of Governors and our professional staff and employees here at the Club. Our Board of Governors and committees are the real leaders at TCC. Their hard work sets the policy and tone for our Club and ensures its continued success. They give selflessly of their time, and are dedicated to the Club and its success. Their thoughtful and skillful perspective, and excellent judgment, made my job easy, and made the Club better every day.
It’s also been a privilege to work with our professional staff and leaders. Their day-to-day operation and management of the Club is at the highest level. We have some of the very best in the club business. Our department heads routinely receive offers to take their skills and join other clubs, but their dedication to Timuquana and to the special things that we are achieving keeps them with us. We’re fortunate to have them, and grateful for their work. It’s been a privilege for me to get to know them better, and to see them in action.
I leave this office in the capable hands of my good friend Mike Wachholz, and I look forward to continuing my service as Past President. Thanks to all of you for the honor of serving in this office.
Respectfully,

T.E. Bishop

Kate Nolte Director of Membership and Employee Engagement

We are proud to share that Timuquana Country Club received first place for the mid-size business category in the 2026 Jacksonville Top Workplaces recognition, an honor based entirely on anonymous feedback from our employees through the nationally recognized Energage Workplace Survey.
Being named a Top Workplace is
a meaningful reflection of the positive culture our team experiences each day and a testament to the excellence, tradition, and strong sense of community that define Timuquana. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff whose commitment, professionalism, and care for our members make this club such a special place.
We look forward to celebrating this recognition together and continuing to foster an environment where both our members and employees thrive.

We are getting closer to the opening of the Golf Performance Center and Pickleball Facility expected to open in mid-May. With all of the infrastructure, framing and mechanical work now completed, finishes will start in both buildings, and the final product will really take shape over the next few weeks.
We encourage you to view the video below of the construction progress that incorporates renderings of the corresponding spaces. Also, we encourage you to scan the QR code or click the link on the next page to review the facility brochure. This brochure highlights hours of operation, programs, private events, socials, camps, policies and fees associated with the new amenities. We’ll promote these activities more consistently as we confirm a final opening date in early summer.
As we open the new spaces, we would love to hear from you about the programming and activities we have planned. While we have a comprehensive plan for the remainder of the year, it’ll be important for us to see how the new facilities are used to help determine how we can make them even better as we progress through the year.
We’d like to thank the Club’s professional staff, Committees and Boards who have made this project a reality, starting back in 2022 with its initial concept. It has been a true labor of love and has spared no detail in making sure it becomes a social hub for the Club long into the future.
