unanimous Oro Valley Town Council approved on June 21 the town’s $148.49 million budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1. The budget, months in the making, “reflects the careful allocation of available resources,” the town of Oro Valley’s chief financial officer Dave Gephart said in his presentation before a public hearing that Wednesday. No one from the public commented on the spending plan. Among its highlights, the spending plan: • Anticipates $47.77 million in capital project spending, just under one-third of all spending; • Expects general fund revenues of $57.49 million, up from an estimated $54.21 million in the current fiscal year.
