avidson Chambers was created by mutual friends (Janice & Davidson) who have always shared a love of food (mostly dips and cheese!), decor and a passion for retail and shopping. The sharing of this enthusiasm created a friendship that now is measured only in “how old is Erin now”, the youngest of Janice’s three children, who was seven years old when they first met. Erin is 34 now. Even though the locations might have changed over those years, the love for food and decor hasn’t, it’s only grown into so much more. The love of entertaining just added to the mix. Both Janice & Davidson have let food be their guide for all their travels. Together or not, the bond of food has been shared, sometimes in pictures and talking about the story after, or bringing back that prized item to share. They both have an English heritage (yes not known for the finest culinary scene in the past, but so much better now) but the classics and comforts of that heritage still bring back lots of memories of family, vacations and home.

DAVIDSON CHAMBERS is excited to be open in its first location on the island. Located in the heart of Sidney, this landmark building started its life back in the early 1940’s at the Victoria Airport. Like many of the other buildings on Beacon Avenue it was moved to its current spot after World War II and has been home to many businesses over the year. The transformation has begun, giving new life to this historical building.
