Throughout the years I have collected blue and white pottery in all shapes and sizes and just love how the different patterns play off each other when grouped together, creating an energetic and familiar contrast in any room. How fun would it be to make quilts and pillows that creates the same effect, or that depict pottery. This was the inspiration behind Something Blue.
Something Blue consists of 32 fabrics, 15 different pattern designs, some repurposed and some new. Most of them are in a light-on-dark version and a dark-on-light version, to create two colorways. Fun additions to the main collection and blenders are border fabrics that allow you to make more realistic pottery. There is also a fun design with quilt labels and ornaments for decorations.
The projects are mainly inspired by pottery collections in keeping with the theme, some with appliqué flowers to contrast the blue and white. Keep in mind that blue and white works well with so many quilt designs – just simple squares alternating light and dark fabrics would make beautiful quilts and pillows.

The border fabrics look lovely in the Ginger Jar quilt Tea.
The quilt labels and ornament fabrics contains motifs of birds, cups and plates in addition to useful quilt labels. These fabrics allow you to make charming kitchen decorations, such as hanging ornaments, garlands, cute plate coasters or kitchen-themed appliqué projects.
The border fabrics are so useful when you want to make realistic bowls and ginger jars and can also be used as borders around quilts, on bags or even for wrapping gifts.

A group of sewing friends who love small appliqué and hand sewing, inspired us to make a new basic range with tiny dots. BASICS Brie ...
We just love the effect the Brie fabrics from Creating Memories have in patchwork and appliqué, both calming and interesting. Brie has the ability to create a contrast to larger prints without being boring and is perfect when working on small projects. We decided to add 12 colors and make Brie a new Basic line. The four colors marked with CM is from Creating Memories.
