Rock – Motion Lass (Motivator) NEWSELLS PARK STUD • Fee £5,000

The four-time Gr.2 winner A’Ali will stand for a fifth season at Newsells Park Stud, remaining at a fee of £5,000

The son of Society Rock made an immediate impact as a two-year-old, winning the Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes on just his second start before adding the Gr.2 Prix Robert Papin and Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes to his CV later in the season. At three, he captured the Gr.3 Sprint Stakes at Sandown before returning to Gr.2 company to win the Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh. He would race once as a four-year-old, finishing placed in the Gr.2 Meydan Sprint over the minimum trip, and was then subsequently retired to stud that year.

The sire of 13 winners from his first crop last year, A’Ali has already been represented by Stakes performers Ali Shuffle, who finished runner-up in the Gr.3 Prix du Bois and won three times, and the Listed-placed winner Alarming. His daughter Fairy Oak was sold for £225,000 at last year’s Goffs London Sale and finished runner-up in last month’s Mawj Stakes at Meydan. His yearlings were sold for up to £100,000 last year, 20 times his fee, led by a full-brother to Fairy Oak

A’Ali hails from a precocious sire line. His own sire, Society Rock, won the Gr.1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, while his grandsire Rock Of Gibraltar won seven Gr.1 races over 7f and a mile.

ACLAIM

Acclamation – Aris (Danroad) RATHASKER STUD • Fee €6,500

Proven Classic-producing sire Aclaim (Acclamation) has been purchased by Rathasker Stud in Co Kildare ahead of the 2026 breeding season. He is available at a fee of €6,500.

He won a 6f Kempton maiden on his only start at two and progressed through the handicap ranks to win a Newbury Listed race and the Gr.2 Challenge Stakes as a three-year-old. Even better as an older horse, he capped a superb career with wins over his preferred trip of 7f in the Gr.2 Park Stakes and Gr.1 Prix de la Foret, although he also won over a mile.

Aclaim’s racing record is backed up by a top-class pedigree. He is a half-brother to the US Gr.3 winner Queen Picasso (Kingman) and out of a Listed-placed three-partssister to the Gr.1 Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Again (Danehill Dancer). The wider family includes the Gr.1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner and leading stallion Montjeu (Sadler’s Wells), while his father Acclamation is a noted sire of sires.

Initially retired to the National Stud in 2018, Aclaim made a blistering start to his career when his first-crop daughter Cachet won the Gr.1 1,000 Guineas and Gr.3 Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket, as well as finishing second in the Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches. Also responsible for the Listed scorers Purosangue and Royal Aclaim, he has produced at least 50 individual winners every year since 2022 and continues to offer breeders value for money.

AESOP’S FABLES

No Nay Never – How’s She Cuttin’ (Shinko Forest)

The Gr.2-winning juvenile Aesop’s Fables has begun to welcome his first foals and stands his second season at Starfield Stud at a slightly trimmed fee of €6,000.

A No Nay Never half-brother to the Royal Ascot winner and Gr.1 sire Washington DC (Zoffany), he showed precocity and class in each of his five starts at two. Winning early in April, he followed up in the Gr.2 Futurity Stakes before two solid fourth-placed efforts in Gr.1 company. A consistent sprinter, he was placed a further five times at Stakes level at three, including when third in the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye and Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, both in open company. Though lightly raced at four, he did find the winner’s enclosure once more in the Listed Sprint Stakes ahead of the Group winner Twilight Jet (Twilight Son), meaning he held his form over three seasons.

Half-brother Washington DC sired a breakthrough toplevel winner last season when American Affair took the Gr.1 King Charles III Stakes and the ingredients are there for Aesop’s Fables to emulate him, especially being a son of top speed influence No Nay Never. They are also half-brothers to the Gr.3-placed Sandhurst (Galileo), out of the rapid seventime 5f winner How’s She Cuttin’ (Shinko Forest). The fourth dam is the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes victrix Magic Flute.

AESTERIUS

Mehmas – Jane Doe (Hallowed Crown) BEARSTONE STUD • Fee £6,500

High-class two-year-old Aesterius is an exciting addition to the stallion roster at Bearstone Stud in Shropshire this year.

A £380,000 breeze-up purchase, the now four-year-old went into training with Archie Watson for Wathnan Racing and demonstrated speed, precocity and durability. He made a winning debut at Bath in May before being beaten just over a length in the Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. A decisive victory in the Listed Dragon Stakes was next, followed by a second in the Gr.3 Molecomb Stakes and wins in the Gr.3 Prix d’Arenberg and Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes. His last two Stakes victories were separated by just 12 days, which underlines his toughness, and his beaten rivals included the future Gr.1 winners Big Mojo (Mohaather) and Magnum Force (Mehmas). He posted the second-fastest time in the Prix d’Arenberg (55.63s) since it was reduced in distance in 2015 and, in doing so, recorded an extraordinary top speed of 73.51 km per hour (approximately 45.7mph).

A son of Mehmas, the record-breaking Champion Firstand Second-Crop Sire, Aesterius is out of an unraced halfsister to the Gr.3 Horris Hill Stakes winner Tawhid (Invincible Spirit), and his grandam is the multiple US Gr.3 winner Snowdrops (Gulch). He shares numerous traits with his sire, including a comparable racing record, and looks highly likely to produce elite-level juveniles in a similar image.

Dream Ahead – Macheera (Machiavellian)

YEGUADA LA SERRETA • Fee Private

The Gr.1 Prix Jacques Le Marois-winning sire Al Wukair will stand for a second season at Yeguada La Serreta in 2026, marking the ninth year of his stud career, where he is available for a private fee.

A high-class performer at two and three for trainer Andre Fabre and Al Shaqab Racing, the son of Dream Ahead captured the Listed Prix Isonomy during an unbeaten juvenile campaign before making a successful return at three in the Gr.3 Prix Djebel. He was subsequently tested at the highest level in the Gr.1 2,000 Guineas, finishing third behind Churchill and Barney Roy (Excelebration). His defining performance came later that year in the Prix Jacques Le Marois, where he produced a decisive turn of foot to beat fellow sires Inns Of Court and Thunder Snow. He was retired to stud at the conclusion of his three-year-old campaign.

Purchased for 200,000gns at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1, he is out of the winning juvenile Macheera (Machiavellian), making him a half-brother to two Listed-placed performers and a full-brother to the Gr.3placed winner Dream Today. His second dam Caerlina (Caerleon) won the Gr.1 Prix de Diane, and he hails from the family of many more elite-level performers. His most notable offspring include the Gr.3 winner Princess Badee and La Mehana, who won the Gr.2 Glens Falls Stakes in 2025.

ARDAD

Kodiac – Good Clodora (Red Clubs) OVERBURY STUD • Fee £7,500

The Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes winner Ardad will stand his ninth season at Overbury Stud for a reduced fee of £7,500.

A son of Kodiac, Ardad showed early promise as a juvenile, winning his first two starts, including the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. He competed at Group level for the remainder of the campaign, with his peak performance coming in the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster, where he defeated high-class types such as The Last Lion and Prince Of Lir. He returned at three and competed against elite-level sprinters before retiring to stud. In his second career, Ardad made an immediate impact, siring the three-time Gr.1-winning sire Perfect Power in his first crop. Perfect Power also emulated his sire in striking at the Royal Meeting, though in the Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes. Ardad is responsible for nine Stakes winners to date, also including the Group winners Tadej and Eve Lodge His yearlings realised up to 180,000gns last year, while his breeze-ups fetched up to £200,000 and averaged £44,761. He operated at a 37 per cent winners-to-runners strike rate in 2025.

Ardad is the first foal out of the Red Clubs mare Good Clodora. He hails from a family of established sprinters, including the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye winner Maarek (Pivotal) and the Gr.3 (then) King George Stakes winner and Gr.1 King’s Stand Stakes runner-up Anita’s Prince (Stradavinsky).

ARREST

Frankel – Nisriyna (Intikhab) BOARDSMILL STUD • Fee Private

Bred by Swordlestown Little in Co Kildare, Arrest returned to his native Ireland last year to take up stallion duties at Boardsmill Stud in neighbouring Co Meath and will be represented by his first crop of foals this year.

Purchased by Juddmonte for €440,000 at the Goffs November Foal Sale, the now six-year-old son of Frankel was trained in Newmarket by John and Thady Gosden. A dual winner at two who finished runner-up behind Coolagown Stud resident Dubai Mile (Roaring Lion) in the Gr.1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud, he went on to land both the Gr.3 Chester Vase and the Gr.3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at three, before finishing runner-up to Continuous (Heart’s Cry) in the Gr.1 St Leger.

Out of the unraced Intikhab mare Nisriyna, he is a halfbrother to six other winners, including the Gr.3 winner and Gr.1 Hong Kong Gold Cup-placed Dinozzo (Lilbourne Lad) and last season’s Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club-placed Detain (Wootton Bassett). Nisriyna is a half-sister to four winners, including the dual Gr.3 winner and dual Gr.1-placed Narniyn (Dubawi; grandam of last season’s Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussacplaced Narissa), from the family of last season’s US Gr.2 winner and Gr.1 Del Mar Oaks-placed Thought Process (Collected).

Gestüt Röttgen homebred Assistent, who will continue to be offered at a fee of €4,500, is entering his second season at stud and will be represented by his first crop of foals this year.

AWTAAD

Cape Cross – Asheerah (Shamardal)

DERRINSTOWN STUD • Fee €8,500

The Gr.1 Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Awtaad stands for €8,500 this year, his peak fee since 2021, after another stellar season by his progeny on the track.

Bred by Shadwell Estate Company and trained by Kevin Prendergast for Hamdan Al Maktoum, the son of Cape Cross was a Leopardstown maiden winner as a juvenile and won his first three starts at three with ease, including the Curragh Classic. He was also third in the Gr.1 St James’s Palace Stakes and added the Gr.2 Boomerang Stakes against his elders before embarking on the next chapter.

His stud career took time to warm up but proved every bit worth the wait, and he has a well-established reputation as the best value sire in Britain and Ireland. His 15 Stakes winners to date ooze quality at the highest level, seen most recently at Del Mar when Ethical Diamond stormed home for a historic success in the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Turf. He is also responsible for the triple US Gr.1 winner Anisette and the Gr.1 Champion Stakes hero Anmaat. Longevity, progression and class are the traits associated with Ireland’s value sire.

A half-brother to four black-type performers, including the Listed winner Mehnah (Frankel), his Listed-placed dam is by Shamardal, and he remains an excellent source of class, no matter what the budget.

Proven Class. Outstanding Value!

Awtaad’s reputation as a source of top-class performers was only further enhanced in 2025.

This was headlined by ETHICAL DIAMOND’S Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Turf success; he was one of four new Stakes winners for the sire.

BANGKOK

Australia – Tanaghum (Darshaan) CHAPEL STUD • Fee £3,000

The Gr.2 York Stakes winner Bangkok will stand for a fifth season at Chapel Stud for a fee of £3,000.

A tough and consistent racehorse, the son of Australia won four Stakes races on the track. His first black-type victory came in the Gr.3 Classic Trial at Sandown, where he defeated the subsequent Gr.1 winner and sire Technician (Mastercraftsman). Later that season, he finished runnerup in both the Gr.2 King Edward VII Stakes and the Gr.3 Strensall Stakes. As a four-year-old, he notched up another black-type win when stretching four and a half lengths clear in the Listed Winter Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield, a race he reclaimed the following year at five. Later that season, he landed the biggest victory of his career when capturing the Gr.2 York Stakes by a head. He has a 57 per cent winners to runners success rate from his first crop.

Hailing from a top-class family, Bangkok is a half-brother to six Stakes performers, including the Gr.1 Al Maktoum Challenge R3 winner Matterhorn (Raven’s Pass) and the three-time Gr.3 winner The Foxes (Churchill). They are all out of the Listed-placed Darshaan mare Tanaghum. He is also a half-brother to the dam of the multiple Gr.1-winning sire Ribchester (Iffraaj), from the further family of sires Elnadim, Intello, Occupandiste and Mondialiste.

BECKFORD

Bated Breath – Whirly Dancer (Danehill Dancer) KEDRAH HOUSE STUD • Fee €5,000

A classy juvenile on the track with a fine strike rate from a small number of runners as a sire, Kedrah House Stud’s Beckford will be available to breeders at a fee of €5,000 this year.

The son of Bated Breath was trained by Gordon Elliott to win his opening two races at two, a 16-runner 6f Curragh maiden followed by the Gr.2 Railway Stakes over the same course and distance, where he beat the subsequent Gr.1 winner and sire Verbal Dexterity. He then finished runnerup to sire Sioux Nation in the Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes before having to settle for second again in the Gr.1 National Stakes. He ended his juvenile campaign with respectable fifthplaced finishes in both the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes and Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. Moved to the US for his threeyear-old season, he won at Churchill Downs over 5f before returning to Ireland the following year, with his best run being a fourth in the Gr.3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes.

Out of a half-sister to the dual Gr.1-winning sire Poet’s Word, Beckford has sired four winners from just six runners since retiring to stud. His progeny include the Listed-placed Beckman (now known as Le Zonda in Hong Kong), who also finished fourth in the Gr.3 Tyros Stakes, and the Joseph O’Brien-trained four-year-old Starford, who won three handicaps last term and holds an official rating of 102.

BOUTTEMONT

Acclamation – Basilia (Fastnet Rock) RATHBARRY STUD • Fee €5,000

Lightning-fast sprinter Bouttemont continues at €5,000 as he embarks upon his third season at Rathbarry Stud.

The eight-year-old was trained by Yann Barberot and won over 1600m at Longchamp as a juvenile. It was when dropped back to sprint trips that he truly found his niche, however, winning the 1200m Gr.3 Prix de Meautry at four and the following year’s Listed Prix Hampton over 1000m, taking the latter contest in a blistering time of 56.18s. Also runner-up in the Gr.3 Mercury Stakes on the all-weather at Dundalk, he was bought by a partnership headed by Kevin Blake and Jack Cantillon towards the end of his racing career and installed at Rathbarry Stud ahead of the 2024 breeding season.

Covering over 80 mares in his first campaign, the resultant foals were reportedly strong, correct and fluent-moving, later selling for up to €36,000. Bouttemont continues to prove popular and provides breeders with economical access to the sire line of Rathbarry Stud legend Acclamation, whose previous stallion sons include Dark Angel and Mehmas. Bouttemont also boasts a smart and distinctive pedigree. He is the best runner out of the French winner Basilia (Fastnet Rock), a half-sister to the dual Gr.3 winner and Gr.1placed Baghadur (Zanzibari; also known as Joyful Trinity in Hong Kong), while the wider family includes the Gr.1-winning Argentinian champion Batallosa (Southern Halo).

BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE

Bungle Inthejungle has cemented his status as a high-class source of speed over the past couple of seasons and remains a mainstay of the roster at Rathasker Stud in Co Kildare.

A fast and precocious two-year-old when trained by Mick Channon, he won the Gr.3 Molecomb Stakes and the Gr.3 Cornwallis Stakes in his debut season, as well as finishing second in the Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes. He later transitioned to a stallion career at Rathasker in 2015.

An immediate hit with breeders, his first crop yielded fellow Molecomb Stakes winner and Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes third Rumble Inthejungle, plus the Italian Listed winner Sopran Artemide. There has barely been any let-up since, with the Gr.2 Lowther Stakes winner Living In The Past emerging from his second crop and the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes heroine Winter Power headlining the third, while dual Gr.3-winning sprinter Givemethebeatboys topped the 2023 Goffs London Sale at an eye-watering £1.1m.

The sire’s tally of individual Stakes winners has now grown to 14, and 2025 was another banner year for his progeny. Revival Power won the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster, in doing so emulating the Gr.2 triumph of popular sprinter Jm Jungle in the King George Stakes, while Jungle Peace broke new ground for her sire as a Graded winner in the US.

CHARMING THOUGHT

Oasis Dream – Annabelle’s Charm (Indian Ridge) MARCH HARE STUD • Fee £3,000

The Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes winner Charming Thought has become a staple of the March Hare Stud roster in recent seasons and continues to offer excellent value at £3,000.

Now 14 years of age, he remains the highest-rated son of Oasis Dream standing in Britain and enjoyed another profitable campaign in 2025. Bred by Merry Fox Stud Limited, he went into training with Charlie Appleby after realising 625,000gns as a Tattersalls Book 1 yearling. He proved a natural from the moment he set foot on a racecourse, finishing second at Nottingham on debut before going unbeaten in three more juvenile starts, culminating in his aforementioned Middle Park Stakes triumph.

Retired to stallion duties following a brief campaign at four, Charming Thought began his new career at Dalham Hall Stud and joined March Hare Stud in 2023. His first crop featured the Gr.3 Las Cienegas Stakes heroine Amy C, the dual Listed victor Charterhouse and the smart handicapper Totally Charming, while his second crop included the Listed-placed winner Different Illusion and sales race hero Tatsumaki (known as Lightning Warrior in Hong Kong).

Related to Gr.1-winning sires Aristotle, Ballingarry and Starborough, Charming Thought remains a good option for breeders operating at the economy end of the market.

CHARMING THOUGHT

COULSTY

Rathasker Stud stalwart Coulsty continues to be available to breeders at an extremely economical fee of €5,500.

The 15-year-old son of Kodiac, who hails from the family of the influential sire Mtoto, was a smart performer at up to 7f during four seasons in training with the Hannons. He won by five lengths on his racecourse debut in May of his twoyear-old campaign and later landed a pair of Listed contests, plus the Gr.3 Prix de Meautry at Deauville.

Commencing covering duties in 2017, he welcomed his first runners during the 2020 season and enjoyed almost immediate success. Five of his progeny earned some form of black type that year, including the Gr.3 Princess Margaret Stakes victrix Santosha and the Listed-winning duo Suicide Squad and Sopran Aragorn, while fellow first-crop representative Shantisara went on to win the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup in the US as a three-year-old.

Shantisara proved to be a remarkable success story for her sire. Having been sourced for just 10,000gns by Federico Barberini at the breeze-ups, she went on to win a trio of Graded races and more than $1m in purses before fetching $1.3m at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.

Few stallions in this price bracket offer the potential for such returns. Coulsty supplied the winners of 78 races last season and remains an excellent value-for-money option.

CRACKSMAN

Frankel – Rhadegunda (Pivotal)

YORTON FARM • Fee £8,500

Exceptional racehorse and crack young sire Cracksman has joined the Futter family’s Yorton Farm in a dual-purpose capacity ahead of the 2026 breeding season.

The 12-year-old son of Frankel was a horse of rare talent, winning back-to-back renewals of the Gr.1 Champion Stakes by a combined margin of 13 lengths. Also winner of the Gr.1 Coronation Cup and placed in the Gr.1 Derby, he was the Cartier Champion Three-Year-Old Colt of 2017 and shared the crown of Longines World’s Best Racehorse in 2018.

A half-brother to the Gr.3 Solario Stakes winner Fantastic Moon (Dalakhani) and from the family of Golden Horn (Cape Cross; now a leading dual-purpose sire), Cracksman began stallion duties in 2019. There was immediate promise from his maiden crop, with Dance In The Grass winning the EBN-sponsored Listed Star Stakes and Aloa taking the Gr.2 Premio Dormello in 2022, yet they were merely an aperitif.

The outstanding Ace Impact emerged on the scene a year later, going unbeaten in all six starts, including the Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, and earning the title of Cartier Horse of the Year. Now the sire of 12 individual Stakes winners on the Flat, Cracksman’s prowess extends to the Gr.3 Galway Hurdle winner Ndaawi and the dual Listed-winning hurdler Liari. He offers breeders exceptional value at a highly competitive fee of £8,500.

He stepped into Stakes company for the first time in the Gr.2 Sandy Lane Stakes, where he was beaten a nose by Rohaan (Mayson), confirming his ability at Group level. He went on to finish first past the post in the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup, only to be demoted to second following a stewards’ inquiry. That effort was backed up with another Gr.1-placing when finishing runner-up in the July Cup behind Starman. He remained in training as a four-year-old, continuing to demonstrate a high level of form, and then retired at the end of that season. His first foals were strongly received at the sales last year, with 48 of 54 offered finding buyers and achieving returns up to 85,000gns, whilst averaging £34,127, which amounts to over four times his covering fee.

Following a season at Manton Park Stud in Britain, Gr.1winning juvenile and Roaring Lion’s sole stallion son, Dubai Mile, has been at Coolagown Stud in Co Cork since 2025 and will stand a second season there for fee of €4,000.

Trained by Charlie and Mark Johnston for Ahmad Al Shaikh and Manton Park, Dubai Mile had a productive juvenile campaign and earned two career successes over 1m at Windsor and Kempton. He was a narrow runner-up in Newmarket’s Gr.2 Royal Lodge Stakes behind The Foxes (Churchill) on his next appearance, but bounced back to form and relished a step up to 2000m to beat Gr.1 St Leger Stakes runner-up and sire Arrest (Frankel) in the Gr.1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. The following season, Dubai Mile ran with credit to finish fifth in the Gr.1 2,000 Guineas after being dropped back to 1m on his three-year-old return. Injury prematurely called time on his career, but not before a promising effort in the Gr.2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot behind the Gr.1 Champion Stakes victor King Of Steel (Wootton Bassett), confirming the ability was still there.

Bred by Skymarc Farm, he is half-brother to the Listed winners Naadirr (Oasis Dream) and Beach Belle (Invincible Spirit; dam of the Australian Gr.2 winner Surf Dancer), out of the Listed-winning and Gr.1-placed High Chaparral mare Beach Bunny

A son of Hello Youmzain, he displayed immediate promise as a juvenile and made a winning debut by two and a quarter lengths at Ayr in June. He was subsequently tested in Group company on his next start in the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, when he produced a bold effort to go down by just a nose to Rashabar (Holy Roman Emperor), with the likes of the future Classic winner and fellow new sire Camille Pissarro (Wootton Bassett) behind him that day. ELITE STATUS

Havana Grey – Dotted Swiss (Swiss Spirit) WHITSBURY MANOR STUD • Fee £8,000

The dual Gr.3 winner Elite Status will begin his stallion career at Whitsbury Manor Stud, standing for a fee of £8,000.

A son of fellow Whitsbury resident Havana Grey, he made a rapid start to his racing career and won his first two starts as a juvenile. Those early successes included an emphatic five-length victory in the Listed National Stakes at Sandown, marking him as one of the more promising two-year-olds of his crop. He gained his first Group success later that season when winning the Gr.3 Prix de Cabourg, defeating the future Gr.1 winner Sajir (Make Believe) by a length and a quarter. As a three-year-old, Elite Status again showed speed and consistency early in the campaign, winning his first two starts, both at Stakes level, which included adding a second Group success when capturing the Gr.3 Hackwood Stakes. That victory came in a competitive field and he defeated the likes of Lake Forest (No Nay Never) and Kind Of Blue (Blue Point), confirming his effectiveness at Pattern level. He was retired after running three times at four.

Elite Status is a full-brother to the Listed Champion Two Years Old Trophy winner Soldier’s Heart and is out of the three-time winner Dotted Swiss (Swiss Spirit). He hails from the family of Gr.1 winners and sires Diego Velazquez (Frankel), Broome (Australia) and Point Lonsdale (Australia).

FRONTIERSMAN

Dubawi – Ouija Board (Cape Cross) OVERBURY STUD • Fee £2,000

Standing at Overbury for his eighth season, the high-class Gr.1 performer Frontiersman will be available for an unchanged fee of £2,000.

Trained by Charlie Appleby, Frontiersman ran five times as a three-year-old, winning twice. However, it was the following season that he came into his own. After a dominant win at Newmarket, he was pitched into the deep end on his next start in the Gr.1 Coronation Cup, finding only the multiple Gr.1-winning globetrotter Highland Reel (Galileo) too good, with the Gr.1 winners Hawkbill (Kitten’s Joy) and Journey (Dubawi) behind him. His four-year-old season concluded with a gutsy success in the Listed Godolphin Stakes before a trip to Meydan as a five-year old, where he was narrowly defeated by old foe Hawkbill in the Gr.2 Dubai City of Gold Stakes.

At stud, he has sired the class four-time winner and Listedplaced Asian Daze, the five-time winner Miss Dolly Rocker, the three-time winning and Gr.3-placed hurdler Dodger Long and the exciting dual-winning hurdler Montemares

A regally bred son of Dubawi, he is a half-brother to the champion and three-time Gr.1-winning sire Australia (Galileo) and they are out of the champion and seven-time Gr.1 heroine Ouija Board (Cape Cross).

GO BEARS GO

Kodi Bear – In Dubai (Giant’s Causeway) OAK LODGE STUD • Fee €6,000

Go Bears Go will stand his second season under the Oak Lodge Stud banner at Springfield House Stud in Co Tipperary. His fee has been trimmed from €8,000 to €6,000 this year.

The best runner sired by Kodiac’s high-class son Kodi Bear, Go Bears Go won three times at Group level during a distinguished career. A fast and precocious two-year-old, he made a winning debut at Ascot before returning to the same track to finish a head second behind subsequent triple Gr.1 winner Perfect Power (Ardad) in the 5f Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes at the Royal Meeting. A commanding win in the 6f Gr.2 Railway Stakes followed at the Curragh, while later placed efforts in both the Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes and Gr.2 (then) Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (beaten a fast-finishing half a length) confirmed his status as one of the best juveniles in training. He returned at three with a win in the Gr.3 Pavilion Stakes and added the Gr.3 Phoenix Sprint Stakes to his impressive CV before the end of that season.

Lightly raced as an older horse, Go Bears Go was a popular addition to the stallion ranks last year and has a tremendous pedigree. He is one of six winners out of the winner In Dubai (Giant’s Causeway), a half-sister to the dual Gr.1 victrix Nahrain (Selkirk; dam of the Gr.1 1,000 Guineas winner Elmalka and the Gr.1-winning sire Benbatl).

GOLDEN HORN

Cape Cross – Fleche D’Or (Dubai Destination) OVERBURY STUD • Fee £10,000

The champion, Classic and multiple Gr.1 winner Golden Horn, will stand at Overbury Stud for a fourth season at an unchanged fee of £10,000.

A son of Cape Cross, Golden Horn was victorious on seven occasions, including four at Gr.1 level, one Gr.2 and a pair of narrow Gr.1 placings in his other two starts, achieving an official rating of 130. After taking the Gr.2 Dante Stakes, he landed the biggest prize of all, the Gr.1 Derby, before the Eclipse Stakes, Irish Champion Stakes and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

His foals proved popular in 2025, realising up to €72,000 and €60,000, a healthy return on their covering fee. Capable of siring top-class horses under both codes, he is the sire of 29 Stakes winners on the Flat, including the Champion Stayer and dual Gr.1 winner Trawlerman. He has proven adept in both codes and sired a pair of Gr.1 winners at last year’s Cheltenham Festival, both conceived before he moved to dual-purpose duties. The Champion Hurdler Golden Ace, the Gr.1 Triumph Hurdle winner Poniros, the Gr.2 Park Hill Stakes winner Santorini Star and the tenacious stayer Gregory are just a handful of his best offspring to date. A fine source of class and stamina, Golden Horn is priced fairly to accommodate both Flat and National Hunt breeders.

GREGORIAN

Clodovil – Three Days In May (Cadeaux Genereux) RATHASKER STUD • Fee €4,500

Rathasker Stud’s Gregorian reminded us of his ability to produce a smart juvenile when Amo Racing’s Hollywood Treasure won the Listed St Hugh’s Stakes in August.

She is the eighth Stakes winner sired by the son of Clodovil, a Rathasker homebred, who enjoyed a fine career with John Gosden. A maiden winner at two, he was placed in the Gr.1s St James’s Palace Stakes and Prix Jean Prat at three and went on to win the Gr.3 Diomed Stakes, Gr.3 Criterion Stakes and Gr.2 Hungerford Stakes as an older horse.

Also placed in the Gr.1 Queen Anne Stakes and Gr.1 July Cup, showcasing his distance versatility, he began his stallion career at The National Stud in 2015 and returned to Rathasker ahead of the 2019 breeding season. His maiden crop included no less than five black-type placed winners, among whom Queen Jo Jo went on to win the Gr.3 Summer Stakes, and Gypsy Spirit and Greach later triumphed in Stakes company. The US Gr.3 winner Gregorian Chant was a slightly later-developing first-crop starlet, while Gregorian’s best runner, Plainchant, emerged in 2020 with thrilling wins in the Gr.2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte and Gr.3 Prix Eclipse.

Hollywood Treasure’s owners went to 42,000gns to secure a Gregorian yearling in the autumn, and he continues to offer major appeal to anyone breeding on a budget.

HARRY ANGEL

Following another fruitful season across the globe in 2025, Dalham Hall Stud resident Harry Angel continues to offer exceptional value within the 10k and under category.

A half-brother to the Gr.2 winner Pierre Lapin (Cappella Sansevero) and closely related to the Gr.1winning sires Xtension (Xaar) and Supremacy (Mehmas), he began stallion duties in 2019 and continues to perform with great credit in Europe, while he has been nothing short of a spectacular success when shuttling to Australia.

Now the sire of 20 individual Stakes winners and counting, his returns last year included Australian Gr.1 wins for Private Harry, Tom Kitten and War Machine, while Angel Capital and Arkansaw Kid were triumphant at Gr.2 level in the same country. Closer to home, Fair Angellica won the Gr.3 Sceptre Fillies’ Stakes at Doncaster before realising 260,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale. He went on to win the Gr.3 Sirenia Stakes later the same season, then returned at three with a win in the Gr.3 Pavilion Stakes and a second in the Gr.2 Sandy Lane Stakes. MASTER CARPENTER

Mastercraftsman – Fringe (In The Wings) MARCH HARE STUD • Fee £1,500

March Hare Stud’s Master Carpenter continues to operate at a healthy 50 per cent winners-to-runners ratio with his progeny and warrants serious attention at just £1,500.

The son of Mastercraftsman was a wonderfully tough and tenacious performer during six seasons with Rod Millman. He demonstrated his precocity by opening his account in a 5f Leicester maiden in April of his two-year-old campaign and his longevity when claiming his seventh and last win as a seven-year-old. In between, he won the Gr.3 Prix Daphnis at Chantilly and the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown (by seven lengths), as well as lifting the prestigious John Smith’s Cup and finishing third in the Gr.2 Prix Eugene Adam.

He is one of six winners out of the talented In The Wings mare Fringe, whose three-parts sister Mount Elbrus (Barathea) won the Listed Prix Petite Etoile before gaining recognition as grandam of the European Champion TwoYear-Old Colt and sire Pinatubo. This is also the family of the influential Gr.1 Prix de Diane winner Rafha (Kris).

Master Carpenter quickly indicated his potential as a sire when his first-crop daughter Princess Naomi won back-toback races as a two-year-old. Several more winners have emerged since, including the prolific The Craftymaster, who won six in a row during the 2023/24 all-weather season.

Standing at Norton Grove Stud for a fee of £3,500, the Gr.1 July Cup winner Mayson will undertake stallion duties for a 14th year.

A son of Invincible Spirit, he showed early speed as a twoyear-old, winning by five lengths on his second start in a 5f maiden at Hamilton before a narrow defeat in the Listed Ripon Champion Two Years Old Trophy. As a four-year-old, he enjoyed a productive start to his campaign at Newmarket, winning twice early in the season, with a decisive three and a half-length success in the Listed (then) Abernant Stakes preceding capturing the Gr.3 Palace House Stakes. Newmarket would later provide the setting for his defining performance, when he claimed the track’s showpiece sprint, the July Cup, by an emphatic five lengths on the July Course. His final appearance came in the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye at Longchamp, where he finished a neck second before being retired to stud. MILL STREAM

Gleneagles – Swirral Edge (Hellvelyn) YEOMANSTOWN STUD • Fee €10,000

Standing a second season at Yeomanstown Stud is Mill Stream, a Gr.1-winning son of Gleneagles, who is available to breeders at a fee of €10,000.

Purchased for 350,000gns during Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock, Mill Stream made a winning debut at Doncaster for trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam. At three, he earned a maiden Stakes success in the Listed Prix Moonlight Cloud and followed up with a Group success in the Gr.3 Prix de Meautry, both at Deauville. The following season, Mill Stream defeated Gr.3 Prix de RisOrangis winner and sire Shouldvebeenaring in York’s Gr.2 Duke of York Stakes before earning a maiden top-level success in Newmarket’s Gr.1 July Cup.

Mill Stream has made a promising start to life at stud and covered 170 mares during his debut season, including 75 Stakes performers/producers, with a fertility rate in excess of 90 per cent. He is a half-brother to the Gr.2 Richmond Stakes winner and Gr.1 Prix Morny third and sire Asymmetric (Showcasing) and out of the twice-winning Hellvelyn mare Swirral Edge, a half-sister to the Listed Westow Stakes victrix and Gr.3 Prix du Petit Couvert third Fashion Queen (Aqlaam; dam of the Italian Listed winner Noble Title). BEECH HOUSE STUD • Fee £10,000

The Gr.1 Sussex Stakes winner Mohaather stands for an attractive fee of £10,000 ahead of his third crop of juveniles hitting the track.

A Group winner at two, three and four, he held his form throughout his eight-race career for trainer Marcus Tregoning. Winner of the Gr.3 Horris Hill Stakes at two, he returned at three with a game success in the Gr.3 Greenham Stakes. Injury interrupted his short-term plans, but he found the winner’s enclosure again as a four-year-old in the Gr.2 Summer Mile Stakes prior to reaching his peak in the Sussex Stakes, where he had the Gr.1 winners and sires Circus Maximus, Siskin and Kameko chasing him home.

His first crop hit the ground running in 2024 and maintained momentum into last year, as the Gr.3 Molecomb Stakes winner Big Mojo stepped up to take the Gr.1 Sprint Cup shortly after a narrow defeat in the Gr.1 July Cup.

Mohaather is a full-brother to the multiple US Graded Stakes victrix Prize Exhibit (dam of the Gr.3 winner History) and half-brother to the dam of the Gr.1 Queen Anne Stakes winner Accidental Agent (Delegator).

With a first-crop Gr.1 winner and strong books to come, his fee represents tempting value for breeders seeking speed and class.

MOSTAHDAF

BEECH HOUSE STUD • Fee

£9,000

Following an impressive set of sales ring results with his maiden crop of foals, Frankel’s top-class son Mostahdaf will stand his third season at Beech House Stud this year.

The now eight-year-old sire represents an immaculate blend of pedigree and performance, being a half-brother to the dual Gr.1-winning miler Nazeef (Invincible Spirit) and also the highest-rated horse to retire to stud in Britain since Baaeed (Sea The Stars). Trained by the Gosdens, he was unraced at two but won five of his six starts the following year, notably two Listed races and the Gr.3 Darley Stakes. He earned two more Gr.3 wins at four before storming to a seven-length win in the enormously valuable Gr.3 Neom Turf Cup (now a Gr.1) in Saudi Arabia on his five-year-old return.

That performance was the prelude to an outstanding campaign in which he won the Gr.1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot by four lengths, with four top-level winners in behind, and the Gr.1 Juddmonte International Stakes at York, which he won in a faster time than his legendary sire, beating Nashwa (Frankel) and Paddington (Siyouni) in the process.

Rated 128 and officially recognised as the joint secondbest horse in the world upon his retirement, Mostahdaf covered 90 mares in his opening book, and the resultant foals sold for up to 100,000gns at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale last year. He rates excellent value at £9,000.

NANDO PARRADO

Kodiac – Chibola (Roy)

IRISH NATIONAL STUD • Fee €7,000

Off the back of his first crop of juveniles last year, the precocious Nando Parrado has seen his fee upgraded to €7,000 for his fifth covering season at the Irish National Stud.

A 165,000gns foal purchase, the son of Kodiac was sent into training with Clive Cox and shed his maiden tag in the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot on what was only his second start. Among the 14 rivals behind him that day was the subsequent Gr.1-winning sprinter Creative Force (Dubawi). Following that success, he finished runner-up in a pair of top-level contests in France, the Gr.1 Prix Morny and the Gr.1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, and was rated higher than his sire as a juvenile. At three, he ran fourth in the Gr.3 Greenham Stakes and fifth in the Gr.2 Hungerford Stakes.

Boasting a 37 per cent winners-to-runners return from his first crop, Nando Parrado sired 19 individual winners last year and finished sixth in the European first-crop standings by way of winners. Those winners included the Listed EBF Harry Rosebery Stakes victor Chairmanfourtimes and the EBF Ballyhane Stakes hero Howd’yadoit, who both contributed to progeny earnings just shy of €500,000. His breeze-up horses realised up to 75,000gns last year and averaged around €34,000 for 12 sold, while his yearlings were sold for up to £58,000 and averaged over double his previous €6,000 covering fee.

KILDANGAN STUD • Fee €9,000

Darley sire Naval Crown will continue at a fee of €9,000 as he begins his fourth season at Kildangan Stud. His first crop of two-year-olds will make their debuts later this year.

A Godolphin homebred, Naval Crown was a Gr.3-placed winner for trainer Charlie Appleby as a two-year-old before developing into a high-class sprinter/miler at three and four. He won the Listed Meydan Classic over 1600m early in his Classic season and went on to finish fourth in the Gr.1 2,000 Guineas and second in the Gr.3 Jersey Stakes later that year. Dropped back to sprinting as a four-year-old, the son of Dubawi caused a 33/1 upset in the Gr.1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot before finishing an excellent second behind Alcohol Free (No Nay Never) in the Gr.1 July Cup.

Those performances and Dubawi’s soaring reputation as a sire of sires earned Naval Crown a berth at stud in time for the 2023 breeding season. A half-brother to the German Listed winner Spring Promise (Lope De Vega) and out of the Listed Prix Amandine winner Come Alive (Dansili), his first foals sold for up to €60,000 (twice) in 2024. The positive trends continued with his yearlings last autumn, most notably when a Mountain View Stud-consigned filly out of the Sea The Stars mare Seagull realised €320,000 to Hill of Allen Stud and Keri Lyons at Book 1 of the Goffs Orby Sale.

PERFECT POWER

Ardad – Sagely (Frozen Power)

DALHAM HALL STUD • Fee

£7,500

Dalham Hall Stud’s Perfect Power, who will welcome his first runners on to racecourses later this year, is available at a fee of £7,500 for the second season in a row.

The highly decorated sprinter surged in popularity last year, covering 134 mares (up from 58 mares in 2024) as breeders clamoured to take advantage of his reduced fee. That was followed by an impressive set of results at the yearling sales, with his eldest crop selling for figures including 260,000gns, 215,000gns and £140,000.

It is little surprise that Perfect Power is proving fashionable in this price bracket, as the attractive and precocious son of Royal Ascot winner Ardad boasts superb credentials on paper. A half-brother to last year’s Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes winner Wise Approach (Mehmas), Perfect Power had won the same contest in 2021 at the conclusion of a brilliant twoyear-old campaign, which also saw him win the Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Gr.1 Prix Morny at Deauville.

Crowned Joint Champion Two-Year-Old Colt in France, he returned at three to win the Gr.3 Greenham Stakes and Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup, in doing so securing the title of European Champion Three-Year-Old Sprinter. With many shrewd buyers turning to Perfect Power yearlings last year, his current fee might prove a bargain in the fullness of time.

Gr. 2 winning son of MONTJEU, sire of champions WALK IN THE PARK and AUTHORIZED. Out of Champion filly in Europe FINSCEAL BEO. Realised €2,850,000 as a yearling. Danehill Dancer – Plante Rare (Giant’s Causeway) CHAPEL

The Gr.1 Prix Ganay winner Planteur will stand for a fee of £4,000 at Chapel Stud, undertaking his 13th year at stud.

A son of Danehill Dancer, Planteur won on debut as a two-year-old and made an immediate impression at three when winning the Gr.2 (then) Prix Noailles on his first attempt in Group company. He went on to perform with credit at the highest level, finishing runner-up in the Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club behind the exceptional Lope De Vega Returning at four, Planteur captured the Gr.2 Prix d’Harcourt before securing his career-defining success in the Prix Ganay at Longchamp on his next start. He continued to compete with distinction at the elite level thereafter, recording placed efforts in four further Gr.1 contests before being retired to stud at the conclusion of his six-year-old campaign.

Planteur has proven to be a reliable dual-purpose sire, represented by the star stayer Trueshan, the Gr.2 Gran Premio del Jockey Club winner and sire Road To Arc and dual Gr.1 chase winner Gran Diose, underlining his versatility under both codes. He also operates at an excellent winnersto-runners ratio. He is out of the unraced Giant’s Causeway mare Plante Rare and is closely related to the three-time Gr.1-winning sire Persian King and hails from the family of the brilliant multiple Gr.1-winning sire Peintre Celebre.

Choisir – Bunditten (Soviet Star) THE NATIONAL STUD • Fee £3,000

Beginning an eighth season at The National Stud is Phil Cunningham’s Gr.2 winner Rajasinghe, who will be available to breeders for a fee of £3,000.

Purchased for £85,000 at the Goffs UK Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale by Bobby O’Ryan and Rebel Racing, Rajasinghe went into training with Richard Spencer. He ran out an impressive four-length debut winner over 6f on the allweather at Newcastle before going on to triumph in Royal Ascot’s Gr.2 Coventry Stakes in a record time, in which he defeated subsequent Classic-winning sire Romanised.

By Choisir, also responsible for fellow sire and Royal Ascot Gr.1 winner Starspangledbanner, Rajasinghe rounded off his juvenile campaign with a third-placed effort in Newmarket’s Gr.2 July Stakes, in which he was three quarters of a length behind Champion Two-Year-Old and Gr.1-winning sire U S Navy Flag and a head in front of Gr.2 Duke of York Stakes winner and Gr.1-placed sire Invincible Army

His winners to date include the Ayr Gold Cup winner Run Boy Run, the Stewards’ Cup and International Handicap winner Two Tribes, who has also placed at Listed level, and fellow Stakes-placed winner Waiting All Night Rajasinghe, who enjoyed a 55 per cent winners-to-runners ratio in 2025, is a half-brother to nine other winners and out of the Listedplaced two-year-old winner Bunditten (Soviet Star).

He then finished his juvenile campaign with placed efforts behind Cheveley Park Stud resident Vandeek (Havana Grey) in both the Gr.1 Prix Morny and the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes, before returning at three to finish third, beaten only one and a half lengths, behind Darley’s freshman sire Rosallion (Blue Point) in the Gr.1 Irish 2,000 Guineas.

Following a winning start with his maiden crop of runners in 2025, the Listed-winning and Gr.1-placed miler Roseman will continue at a fee of £4,000 at March Hare Stud this year.

The ten-year-old son of Kingman hails from an influential family. He is a half-brother to a trio of black-type placed winners and out of the winning Pivotal mare Go Lovely Rose. The latter is a full-sister to the twice Gr.1-winning champion miler Immortal Verse (dam of the Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains winner and sire Henri Matisse and the dual Gr.1 winner Tenebrism), while further relatives include Gr.1 and/or Classic winners such as Last Tycoon (champion sire), Hermosa and Hydrangea (both by Galileo).

He returned at four with a creditable fourth in the Gr.1 Queen Anne Stakes before confirming his enormous talent when a head second in the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

A son of Gleneagles, he showcased early promise as a juvenile, winning by five lengths on his second start at Goodwood in May. He returned to Goodwood a couple of months later to record his most significant success, which came in the Gr.2 Richmond Stakes in July. On his final appearance at two, he produced another strong effort when finishing a close head second to future Classic winner and sire Chaldean (Frankel) in the Gr.1 Dewhurst Stakes. At three, Royal Scotsman continued to perform well against the best colts of his generation, finishing third in the Gr.1 2,000 Guineas and continuing to compete in top-class company throughout the season. Mehmas – Fidaaha (New Approach) BARTON • Fee £8,500

Barton begins an exciting new stallion venture with the beautifully bred Gr.1 National Stakes victor Scorthy Champ. He debuts at a fee of £8,500.

The precocious son of Mehmas was trained by Joseph O’Brien to win a Leopardstown maiden on his racecourse debut. That proved to be an exceptional piece of form, as the future Gr.1 Futurity Trophy Stakes winner Hotazhell (Too Darn Hot) and the Gr.1-placed Mount Kilimanjaro (Siyouni) both finished several lengths in arrears. Third behind Henri Matisse (Wootton Bassett) in the Gr.2 Futurity Stakes on his second outing, Scorthy Champ then reversed form with the subsequent Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains winner by producing a brilliant display to win the National Stakes in the fastest time since champion Pinatubo (Shamardal) in 2019.

The highest-rated two-year-old to retire to Britain for 2026, Scorthy Champ’s impressive racing record is backed up by an outstanding pedigree. He is a full-brother to the Gr.2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte winner and Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf second Malavath and the Gr.3 Horris Hill Stakes winner Knight. They are out of the lightly-raced Fidaaha (New Approach), a full-sister to the US Gr.3 winner Ceisteach and a half-sister to the Gr.3 Killavullan Stakes winner and Gr.1-placed Steip Amach (Vocalised), plus the dam of the Gr.3 Gordon Stakes winner Merchant (Teofilo).

SHAQUILLE

Charm Spirit – Magic (Galileo)

ACE STUD • Fee £10,000

Standing under the Ace Stud banner for a second season, the Gr.1 July Cup Stakes and Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup hero Shaquille will be available for the reduced fee of £10,000.

A son of Charm Spirit, he was a three-time winning juvenile, including on his debut at York. He impressively made a winning seasonal appearance at Newmarket as a three-year-old in May, before taking Listed honours in the Carnarvon Stakes just two weeks later with fellow sire Aesop’s Fables (No Nay Never) back in third. He took another step forward against his peers when landing the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup on his next start with the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes winner and sire Little Big Bear and Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Lezoo (Zoustar) chasing him home. His greatest performance came against his elders for the first time, when claiming a second top-flight victory in the July Cup and defeating the dual Gr.1 winners Kinross (Kingman) and Khaadem (Dark Angel) to do so.

Represented by his first yearlings in 2026, his foals showcased a strong return on investment in the sales ring last year, with seven achieving six-figure prices up to 210,000gns.

He is out of the unraced Galileo mare Magic, who is a daughter of high-class sprinter Danehurst (Danehill).

SHOULDVEBEENARING

Havana Grey – Lady Estella (Equiano) IRISH NATIONAL STUD • Fee €6,000

The tough and talented sprinter Shouldvebeenaring will stand his second season at the Irish National Stud at an unchanged fee of €6,000 this year.

The son of Havana Grey raced seven times as a juvenile and won three races, headed by the 6f Listed EBF Champion 2YO Trophy at Ripon. He added another Stakes victory to his CV early into his three-year-old season when winning Newmarket’s Listed King Charles II Stakes over 7f and was then runner-up to the Gr.1-winning juvenile Little Big Bear (sire) in the Gr.2 Sandy Lane Stakes. His best form would arrive that autumn when he finished placed in both the Gr.1 Sprint Cup Stakes at Haydock, beaten a neck into second, and the Gr.1 Prix de la Foret at Longchamp, where he was third. The likes of Believing, Khaadem, Mill Stream (sire) and Shaquille (sire) finished behind him on those outings.

At four, he got his head back in front in the 1200m Gr.3 Prix de Ris-Orangis at Deauville, defeating a field that included the subsequent Gr.1 winner and sire Tribalist, and was beaten just a nose when runner-up in the Gr.2 Duke of York Stakes. He was also placed in both the Gr.2 (then) City of York Stakes and Gr.2 Park Stakes over 7f. He was Timeform-rated 118, equal to his sire, and covered an opening book of 126 mares (including 25 per cent black-type horses) last season.

Having been previously based at Ace Stud, the Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes and Gr.1-placed Soldier’s Call will stand his first season at Mickley Stud for a fee of £3,500 in 2026.

The son of Showcasing made a quick start to his racing career, winning the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes on his third start. That success marked the beginning of a productive juvenile campaign, during which he also landed the Gr.3 Prix d’Arenberg and Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes. He rounded off his two-year-old season with a strong performance at the highest level when finishing a close third in the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp in the autumn, finishing ahead of star sprinter Battaash (Dark Angel). He continued to compete with distinction in elite sprint company at three, finishing third in the Gr.1 King’s Stand Stakes and runner-up in the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes.

Soldier’s Call is the sire of 12 black-type horses to date, led by the Gr.3 Prix Eclipse winner Dawn Charger and Listed winners Kaadi and Arugam Bay. Further Group-placed progeny include Monello Sabino, Muqtahem, Dorothy Lawrence and War Bride. He is out of the Listed winner and Group-placed Dijarvo (Iceman) and a half-brother to the black-type sprinter King Leo (The Last Lion). A colt foal by the sire was purchased by Grangemore Stud for 70,000gns at last year’s Tattersalls December Foal Sale.

SOUTHERN HILLS

Gleneagles – Remember You (Invincible Spirit) TRANBERGA GARD • Fee SEK15,000

Having spent three seasons at March Hare Stud and one at Universal Stud in Ireland, the Stakes-winning two-year-old Southern Hills, who is still owned by March Hare, will stand his second season at Tranberga Gard in Sweden at an unchanged fee of SEK15,000.

Bred by Coolmore, the lightly-raced son of Gleneagles was sent into training at Ballydoyle and, following a promising runner-up effort over the minimum trip at Navan, shed his maiden tag at Royal Ascot in the 5f Listed Windsor Castle Stakes on his third start. He came with a strong run down the near side to defeat a field of 20 and, in doing so, became his sire’s first Stakes winner. Pitched into top-level company the following season, he finished a respectable seventh of 16 in the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup, also at the Royal Meeting. One of four O’Brien runners in the contest, he came home in front of all three stablemates, including the Gr.3-winning and Classic-placed sire Lope Y Fernandez. He is one of five winners out of the Gr.3-placed winner Remember You (Invincible Spirit), while the extended family includes the Southern Hemisphere Gr.1 winners Sword Of Osman (Savabeel) and Zagalia (Zabeel), as well as the French top-level performers Governor Brown (sire) and Mashoora (Barathea).

Starfield Stud’s Space Traveller, whose first crop of twoyear-olds will hit the track later this year, will be available to breeders at a fee of €5,000 in 2026.

The son of Bated Breath won his opening two races as a juvenile, including a 5f novice at Hamilton by three and a half lengths, and was placed second in the Gr.3 Prix Eclipse over 1200m later that season. Listed-placed on his opening two starts at three, he progressed to win the Gr.3 Jersey Stakes over 7f at Royal Ascot, defeating the multiple Gr.1 winner and sire Space Blues (Dubawi) in the process. He added another Group race victory to his CV that September when winning the Gr.2 Boomerang Stakes at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend. His first foals were received warmly by the market in 2024, led by an 82,000gns colt who was later purchased by trainer Kevin Ryan for 240,000gns at Book 1 of last year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. STRADIVARIUS

Sea The Stars – Private Life (Bering) NATIONAL STUD • Fee £10,000

Legendary stayer Stradivarius saw his first-crop yearlings realise up to €140,000 during the autumn, and he has covered more than 300 mares in his first three years at stud.

The son of Sea The Stars was one of the most popular horses of modern times, retiring as the winningmost Pattern performer in European racing history, with 18 Group wins to his name. He won the Gr.1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot three times and the Gr.1 Goodwood Cup four times, earning the title of Cartier Champion Stayer in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Although stayers might not be the height of fashion as Flat stallion prospects, Stradivarius has proven popular since commencing stallion duties at The National Stud in 2023. He was visited by a large book of mares in his debut campaign and therefore has more than 80 two-year-olds set to represent him on the track this season. Among the trainers housing his progeny are Andrew Balding, Owen Burrows, John and Thady Gosden, William Haggas, Charlie Johnston and Joseph O’Brien, to name just a few.

Stradivarius is a descendant of the brilliant Pawneese (Carvin), winner of the Gr.1s Oaks, Prix de Diane and King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, while the pedigree also includes successful sires such as Peintre Celebre, Persian King, Policy Maker and Protectionist, so the portents are good ahead of his first runners appearing on racecourses.

SUBJECTIVIST

Teofilo – Reckoning (Danehill Dancer)

CHAPEL STUD • Fee £3,500

Embarking on his third season at stud, the dual Gr.1 winner Subjectivist will stand at Chapel Stud for a reduced fee of £3,500.

The son of Teofilo showed early ability, winning by seven lengths on his third start as a juvenile before finishing runnerup in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes. He continued to progress at three, winning the Listed Glasgow Stakes in July before registering his first Group success in decisive fashion when winning the Gr.3 March Stakes by 15 lengths. His season was capped by his victory in the Gr.1 Prix Royal-Oak, a maiden toplevel success and the standout victory of his three-year-old campaign. That momentum carried into his four-year-old season, where he produced a dominant display to capture the Gr.2 Dubai Gold Cup by five and three-quarter lengths. Subjectivist would later reach the pinnacle of his career at Royal Ascot, where he delivered a commanding performance to defeat a Gr.1 Gold Cup field that included Stradivarius (Sea The Stars; sire) winning by five lengths. On his final career start, he was placed third in the Gold Cup as a six-year-old. He is a half-brother to the dual Gr.2 winner and Gr.1-placed sire Sir Ron Priestley (Australia), out of the Listed-placed winner Reckoning (Danehill Dancer). The further family includes the Gr.1 winner and top Jumps sire Sholokhov (Sadler’s Wells).

Yeomanstown Stud’s Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes and Gr.2 Richmond Stakes winner Supremacy will stand for an attractive fee of €5,000 in 2026.

By Champion Sire Mehmas and trained by Clive Cox, Supremacy earned a maiden Group success in Goodwood’s Richmond Stakes, a race in which he emulated his sire and crossed the winning line in a faster time, lowering the juvenile course record. Following that performance, Supremacy defeated Gr.1-winning sires Lucky Vega and Minzaal in the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.

Last season, Supremacy’s first crop included Rod Millman and Middleham Park Racing’s Gr.3 Dick Poole Stakes, Listed National Stakes and Weatherbys-sponsored Super Sprint Stakes victrix Anthelia, who was purchased for £6,000 at the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale at Doncaster. Supremacy is a half-brother to three other winners and out of the Arcano mare Triggers Broom, a half-sister to the two-time Sha Tin Gr.1 Champions Mile winner and sire Xtension

A talented sprinter who has sired a number of tough horses, Swiss Spirit will be available to breeders at an attractive fee of £2,000 this year.

Initially trained by David Elsworth, the son of Invincible Spirit shed his maiden tag over 6f at York in the June of his two-year-old campaign and placed third in the Listed Rockingham Stakes over the same course and distance later the same season. At three, he finished runner-up in the Tattersalls Millions 3YO Sprint before defeating the subsequent dual Gr.1 winner and sire Lethal Force in the Listed Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury on his next start. That autumn, he defeated the top-class sprinter Kingsgate Native (Mujadil) in the Gr.3 World Trophy over the minimum trip at Newbury. He was moved to John Gosden’s Clarehaven yard at four and finished runner-up in both the Gr.2 Temple Stakes at Haydock and Gr.2 King George Stakes at Goodwood.

He was then second in the Gr.3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes a few weeks later before rounding off his two-year-old season with a four and a half-length victory in the valuable Al Rayyan Stakes at Doha. At three, he landed Qatar’s Listed Al Biddah Mile in February before returning to Britain for the Gr.1 2,000 Guineas, where he ran a fine race to finish runner-up to Saxon Warrior (sire). Fellow sires Masar, Expert Eye, Rajasinghe and Roaring Lion all finished behind him that day.
