Thornbury loses a friend TRIBUTES have been paid to one of the Thornbury arts scene's greatest supporters, who died during an extreme turbulence incident on a passenger jet. The retired insurance manager died after suffering a cardiac arrest when a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore experienced a sudden drop in altitude, injuring more than 100 other passengers including his wife, Linda.
