Company Limited (NNPCL), yesterday, reiterated its determination to end the decades-long importation of petrol and other fuels into the country
in 2024. Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)of NNPCL, Mele Kyari, disclosed this in Abuja at the unveiling of two books, “Dynamics of
Petroleum Products Marketing,” and “Insight into Crude Oil Marketing,” both written by former Group Executive Director of the National
Oil Company (NOC), Professor Billy Okoye. Kyari assured that the company was now on a new trajectory to

Emma Okonji There were multiple major submarine cable cuts in the Red Sea, yesterday, which resulted in service disruptions in Nigeria and some African countries, including Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, and Liberia, as well as some parts of South Africa. The damage disrupted internet services in the affected countries. The affected submarine cable came from Europe, and passed through the East Coast of Africa. It had a deep cut in the Red Sea and the cut affected other submarine cables connected to it, such as the West African Submarine Cable (WASC), African Coast to Europe (ACE) submarine cable, and MainOne submarine cable, that have landing ducts at the shores of Nigeria.
