inaugurated an Inter-Ministerial Committee to develop the 2026 Value Added Tax (VAT)

Modification Order, a major step towards ensuring the smooth implementation of Nigeria's new

tax laws and providing greater certainty for businesses, investors and tax administrators.

The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence that the party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, will honour his pledge to serve only one term if elected in the 2027 presidential election.
