climbed to $46.01 billion, the highest level recorded since March 2018, signalling a
strengthening of the country’s foreign exchange buffers amid ongoing macroeconomic reforms.
This is just as banks’ credit to Nigeria’s private sector declined by 2.8 per cent, or N2.2 trillion,
year-on-year to N75.8 trillion in 2025, following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) sustained
