MBA Spotlight: Internship in Healthcare Operations

Real Experience. Real Impact.

As part of the MBA program, Anthony Trobek completed an 8-week internship in the Operations Department at The Primary Health Network in Sharon, Pennsylvania — using lessons from the MBA program to aid in The Primary Health Network’s cause.

What He Worked On

Aided in audit material collection and research for the food program. Worked along side the Operations team to carry out essential operations — from research, to policy implementation, to community outreach.

Reviewed Audit Material

Reviewed, gathered, and analyzed documentation for a semi-annual audit — crucial to the growth of the organization.

Outreach & Communication

Gathered a group of local residents to participate in PHN’s food program — providing food to people in need across Western Pennsylvania.

Analytics & Insights

Encouraged engagement, tracked community participation, and prepared reports that detailed the impact of the organization in the Shenango Valley.

As part of the MBA program, Zachary Dillingham completed a robust graduate assistantship in Thiel’s Office of Communications & Marketing—turning classroom learning into hands-on strategy, content creation, and leadership.

What He Worked On

Brand Strategy & Campaigns

Partnered with the Director of Communications to plan and complete a special project— developing a full marketing minicampaign from research to launch.

Digital Content & Social Media

Created and scheduled digital content, captured photo/video at events, and helped shape Thiel’s voice across major platforms.
