Model UN - SSICSM Secondary School Interactive Crisis Simulation October 25-27, 2024 Transportation details: Friday October 25 11:00am on Friday, October 25, Students will meet in the learning commons at The York School. We will travel to U of T together by subway. In the afternoon on Friday, students will be dismissed from OISE. Saturday October 26 & Sunday October 27 Students will be responsible for their own transportation home on Friday, to and from U of T (OISE) on Saturday and Sunday. If you are planning on driving your child, the drop off & pick up location will be at OISE - 252 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1V6 - there is a parking lot adjacent to OISE, the entrance is on Bedford Rd Subway - Students who are taking the subway home will be walked to St. George subway station by the teacher.

Model UN Team - 30 students Saturday & Sunday: Megan Gardner Ross, James Walker Friday: Norah Chaput, Joshuah Brown U of T - OISE - 252 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1V6. Students will participate in discussions and debates with other high school students from across Toronto. Students will have an opportunity to draw on their knowledge of global issues to discuss current problems facing the United Nations today. Students will have an opportunity to build on their critical thinking skills, communication skills, and their ability to discuss in a respectful and diplomatic manner. The focus of the conference will be on how to contribute in a positive and constructive manner to solve global problems. This is a wonderful opportunity for senior students to grow as risk-takers, communicators and critical thinkers. Special Considerations and What to Bring

Students are expected to wear Western Business attire. Students should bring a notebook, pen and water bottle.
