A STUDY OF HAPPINESS LEVEL AMONG TEACHER EDUCATORS 1

ABSTRACT Happiness is the jwels of human character. It is the window by which a person guess overall quality of other. In happiness saligman describe five element-positive emotion, engagement, Meaning of life, Positive relationship and accomplishment. In western philosophy Thomas hardy says that “Happiness is but an occassional episode in the general drama of pain.” But eastern philosophy is differ from the western here happiness is a supernatural power which known as the synonyms of “Aanand”. Present study be conduct according to Indian social system. There are four types of happiness spiritual, social, mental and professional. For this study investigator use self constructed happiness scale which has three dimension social happiness, mental happiness and professional happiness. The data collection related to happiness level on the basis of gender and type of Institution 50 male and 50 female, 63 Self Finance and 37 Aided College Teacher Educator are the samples for the present study. The investigator want to level of happiness and draw a comparative sketch between male and female and self finance and Aided college Teacher Educator. KEY WORDS: Happiness, Teacher Educator, Professional Happiness, Mental Happiness, Social Happiness. INTRODUCTION: Happiness is a state of well-being. Happiness is considered to be the ultimate goal of life. According to eastern philosophy Happiness is a super spiritual thing which known as the synonyms of “Aanand”. It is similar to good luck, good fortune and prosperity. It is pleasureable or satisfying experience of mind. Happiness is not only a term but it is a effective thought that can change everything as well as way of thinking the happiness have many virtue or term in itself alike : Positive emotion, meaning full life, Positive relationship and accomplished. But in Indian philosophy there are major four types of happiness in our life.

If a teacher is happy then he provide their better/best to their student. The performance and broadness of teacher is intellectual physical and social resource. A happy teacher make citizen with better emotional and mental health. The significance of this study is that if teacher educators will be happy then they

train their pupil teachers better and provide a good teacher for society. So investigator wants to know the level of happiness among Teacher Educators.

Physical Happiness

OBJECTIVES: 1. To study the level of happiness among Teacher Eductors.

Mental Happiness

To analysis the social happiness among Teacher Eductors.

Spiritual Happiness

To analysis the mental happiness among Teacher Eductors.

Professional Happiness

To study the professional happiness among Teacher Eductors.

To compare the level of happiness among Teacher Educators between Aided & Self Financed Colleges.

To compare the level of happiness among Teacher Educators between Male and Female.

Specific in Indian culture every person's happiness categorized in above four. Ÿ

Physical Happiness is a feeling that comes over you when you know life is good. Positive emotion that is linked with better health and longer healthy life. Even money and material also a thought of happiness but is no longer. It decay with the passage of time.

Mental Happiness: This type of happiness use in context of happiness as mental happiness or emotional happiness. It is also use in context of life satisfaction. In Indian culture mental happiness have first position. If a man mentally happy that is a good signal for a person.

Spiritual Happiness: It mean a person who provoke his inner conflict and know the reality of world. Ultimate he believes in God or supernatural power that is a concept of Spritual Happiness.

Professional Happiness: Really professional happiness is a magical formula that is comes from : Definite rate and purpose, condition of work place, will of progress and responsibility. If a person feel that he do something after work and his work get its objective then he feel happy or satisfied, this satisfaction known as professional happiness.

NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY: Happy teacher will more able to teach them well. Teaching can be a physically and emotionally Regorous profession with many demand and stresses. On these grounds there is a strong urgency of working for the happiness of the teachers.

HYPOTHESIS: 1. There is no significance difference in the level of happiness between Aided and Self Financed Teacher Educators. 2.

There is no significance difference in the level of happiness between Male and Female Teacher Educators.

METHODOLOGY: Sample: This study was conducted on Teacher Educators of Self-Finance and Aided College of MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. Tool: A survey was the sole mean of data collected for the study. A happiness scale prepared by investigator on the following dimension: Social Happiness, Mental Happiness, Professional Happiness was used There are 30 items in the scale. Sample comprises of 100 teacher educational which includes 50 male and 50 female Teacher. Sample Random sampling method was adopted for one's purpose. Methods: Survey method was used for collecting data for present study.

It has been increasing realized that the quality of work of the worker the climate of an organisation highly depend on the happy mood of worker mental and emotional well-being. Copyright© 2019, IERJ. Mostly teacher have average level of happiness in social, mental and professional happiness but in comparion of Aided College Teacher Educator are more happy than self finance College Teacher Educator female are more happy then male. Happiness Level among Self Finance and Aided College Teacher Educators According to the study the first hypothesis there is no difference in the level of happiness between Aided & Self Financed Teacher Educator. On the basis of social happiness 5.40% Aided College Teacher Educators are highly happy. 28.57% Self Finance College Teacher Educator have good level social happiness which is less than Aided College Teacher Educators, 46.03% Self-Finance Teacher Educator have average social happiness which is more than Aided College Teacher Educator. 43.24% Aided College Teacher Educator have good level of happiness. But 46.03% Self Finance Teacher have average mental happiness which is more than Aided College Teacher Educator. But 8.10% Aided College Teacher Educator also have poor mental happiness. Only 5.40% Aided College Teacher Educator have highly happy to their profession but 34.92% & 57.14% Self Finance Teacher Educators have good and average level of happiness which is more than Aided Teacher level of professional happiness. 13.51% Aided College Teacher Educator have lower level professional happiness and 4.76% self finance College Teacher Educator have poor

Happiness Level among Male and Female Teacher Educators According to the study the second hypothesis. There is no significance difference in the level of happiness between male and female Teacher Educator we find that 4% male Teacher Educator have a high level-social happiness, 10% male Teacher are highly mentally Happy but no one highly happy from their profession. 44% male have good happiness level in social happiness dimension, and 36% have a good level of happiness in profession amd 54% have average happiness. No one have poor level social happiness. 48% female have average social happiness and 26% have lower level of social happiness that is more than male, male only 12% have lower level happiness. 42% female have good mental happiness into female have high level professional happiness in comparison of male but 8% female have poor mental happiness. Male are more happy in social happiness dimension than female. But female are highly professional happiness it mean female are more happy to their profession in comparison of male.

At the average happy on mental happiness female are more socially happy but they are less average happy on mental happiness level in comparison of male. Although at professional happiness level 4% female are highly happy but at the average level male are more happy than female. CONCLUSION: In this research paper investigator wants to know the level of happiness at social, mental and professional happiness of Teacher Educator. By this study the investigator drow attention of a person skill or well being know as happiness of Teacher Educator because privatization create a competition between teacher so they lose their professional happiness as well as social and mental happiness. Aided College Teacher Educator are more happy at good level but they are not highly happy because they stressed much due to work load and delayed policy so they have lose their social happiness and mental happiness. At the high level of professional and social happiness female are more happy than male Teacher Educators but in Average male are more happy then female. For the mental happiness proper distribution work may be compulsory and professional happiness is based on the condition of Government policy and management attitude. Now a days social happiness is based on salary package due to less salary self-finance College Teacher Educator are not so happy. REFERENCES: 1.
