Through Genhouse Project Project, designers have access to:

● A gamified skill set rating system that evaluates designers based on:
1 Skills self-assessment
2 Initial skill evaluation upon joining
3. Certifications and upskilling efforts (like courses taken).
4 Projects completed outside of Genhouse Project
5 Projects completed within Genhouse Project (weighted more heavily for priority notifications on new opportunities).
6 Taking on leadership roles, creating graphics, visuals, or content
7. Handling multiple projects or balancing lead and designer roles simultaneously.

Getting Started

2 Message an admin once you've joined to be assigned a role
3. Review the "Applicant To-Dos" channel for important information.
Application Process & Onboarding:
● Submit your resume and portfolio in the designated channel.
● Complete the interview form to provide us with more information about your skills and experience.
● Complete a design challenge and submit your work
● Schedule a 30-minute interview via Calendly to discuss your application and answer any questions.
Project Workflow:
● Once a project is assigned, you will be added to the dedicated project channel.
● Project Kick-Off:
○ A virtual meeting will be held to discuss project goals, scope, and expectations
● Weekly Meetings:
○ Regular team meetings will be held on Discord to ensure everyone is aligned on progress and address any questions.
● Stakeholder Meetings:
○ We will hold meetings with project stakeholders at key points:
■ Presenting user interview results
■ Presenting initial mid-fidelity design prototypes for approval
■ Final prototype presentation
● Deliverables:
○ At the conclusion of each project phase, you will submit a clean Figma file for review
Project Planning & Communication:
● Project Summary:
○ You will be provided with a detailed project summary that outlines project goals, scope, and deliverables. This will serve as the foundation for your project plan, which you will create with your team
○ The project summary will also include a timeline to guide your work.
● Communication Channels:
○ We primarily use Discord for communication, including both text messages and voice calls.
○ Project channels will be created for each assigned project
○ Team leads are expected to submit a brief End-of-Day (EOD) report in the general chat summarizing daily progress.
● Project Drive:
○ A shared project drive will be created for each project Please share all relevant project files and documents to this drive using the email address Genhouse Projectproject@gmail com
● Brainstorming & Collaboration:
○ We utilize Figma for design work and FigJam for collaborative brainstorming sessions
Time Tracking & Performance:
● Clockify:
○ We use Clockify to track work hours. During the 2-hour Project Block Time (PBT) each day (time to be agreed upon with your team), you will be expected to log your hours in Clockify
○ Any additional work hours beyond PBT can be logged as well, potentially contributing towards certification programs
● Team Lead Reviews:
● Team leads are expected to provide regular reviews of team members' performance.
● This feedback will be used for both development and recommendations for future certifications.
