TERMS AND CONDITIONS BOOKINGS AND EVENT DETAILS All event and catering arrangements are subject to availability and confirmation by The Waves Club Elliott Heads. Final catering selections, quantities and event details must be confirmed at least two weeks before the event. Changes requested after this time may not be able to be accommodated. The Waves Club Elliott Heads does not offer private room hire. Any tables or areas allocated for an event remain part of the Club’s shared premises and are subject to normal venue operations and trading conditions. CATERING AND EXTERNAL FOOD Food must not be brought onto the premises without prior approval from management. Celebration cakes are permitted by prior arrangement.
Minors must comply with the conditions applying to licensed premises and remain under the supervision of a responsible adult where required. EVENT CONDUCT Event organisers are responsible for the behaviour of their guests. Management reserves the right to intervene or end activities that are unsafe, unlawful, excessively noisy, offensive, disruptive to other patrons or inconsistent with Club policies and licensing requirements. Guests must follow all reasonable directions provided by Club management and staff.
Menu items may be substituted where necessary due to product availability, seasonality or quality. Where possible, a suitable alternative will be offered.
DECORATIONS AND PROPERTY Any decorations or event items must be approved by management before the event.
Food prepared for an event must be consumed on the premises unless otherwise approved by management. The Waves Club Elliott Heads accepts no responsibility for the quality or safety of food removed from the premises.
Decorations must not damage Club property, create a safety hazard, obstruct access or interfere with other patrons. Event organisers are responsible for removing their decorations and personal belongings at the conclusion of the event.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES Dietary requirements and food allergies must be advised when confirming the catering order and no later than five (5) days before the event. Guests with serious allergies should also identify themselves to the supervisor on duty upon arrival. The Waves Club Elliott Heads will take reasonable care when preparing food for guests with known dietary requirements. However, as meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles a wide variety of ingredients and allergens, we cannot guarantee that any menu item will be completely free from traces of a particular allergen. BEVERAGES AND RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL Beverages may be purchased directly from the Club bar during the event. External beverages must not be brought onto the licensed premises. The Waves Club Elliott Heads is committed to the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Management and staff reserve the right to request identification and to refuse the service of alcohol to any person who is under 18 years of age, unduly intoxicated, disorderly or otherwise unable to be served under Queensland liquor licensing requirements.
The event organiser may be responsible for the cost of repairing damage caused by their guests, contractors, decorations or equipment. CELEBRATION CAKES The delivery and storage of celebration cakes must be arranged with management before the event. The event organiser is responsible for cutting and serving the cake. A cake knife, serving platters and napkins may be available upon request. Any remaining cake must be collected at the conclusion of the event. Unless otherwise arranged, uncollected cake may be disposed of in accordance with the Club’s food-safety procedures. GENERAL All events are subject to the Club’s normal trading conditions, policies and licensing requirements. The Waves Club Elliott Heads reserves the right to amend event arrangements where reasonably necessary for operational, safety or compliance purposes.
