Letter from the CEO e u s s i r e t n i W r u o o t Welcome Welcome to our Winter issue of ClubChat. We hope you enjoyed our new look Autumn edition. The month of March saw the recommencement of our Employee of the Month program. We are extremely proud to have awarded Clay English our Employee of the month for March 2021 and Aizel Rojero for April 2021. Congratulations and we thank you for your commitment, passion and dedication. Since our last edition, the Check in Qld app has been implemented and from 1 May 2021, all Queensland hospitality businesses must use the Check in Qld app when signing patrons into their premises. We appreciate your patience, as the safety of our members and guests is always our priority. The Waves recently welcomed five new school based trainees under our CTA School Based Traineeship Program. The Waves' continued partnership with CTA Training Specialist's School Based Traineeship Program paves a pathway for Bundaberg's upcoming hospitality workforce. Congratulations Alyssa-Jean, Jade, Jordyn, Chelsea and Haylee. We know these new hospitality superstars will go far and we

Please see page 9 for more details. The Waves Cricket Club recently celebrated their 50th year! It was fantastic to see so many past and present members of the club from all decades able to come together to share many fond memories and stories of the club. We hope you enjoy this edition and we wish to thank you for your continued support and hope to see you again in the club soon.

Hawaiian Shirt Day The Waves have introduced Hawaiian Shirt Day. This is to be held the last Friday of each month (but can be subject to change). Staff are invited to dress in Hawaiian shirts on the last Friday of each month to raise money for a nominated charity. All staff, members and guests are welcome to donate each month to the nominated charity!
