Letter from the CEO ! e r e h s i Spring Welcome to our Spring issue of ClubChat.
We are extremely proud to have awarded Emily Prange our Employee of the Month for May, Pam Moodie for June and Lachlan Fitzsimmons for July. Congratulations and we thank you and all of our staff for your commitment, passion and dedication. Recently employees of The Waves participated in The Push-Up Challenge and helped Australia push for better mental health. Over the course of the event, we aimed for 3,318 push-ups to help raise awareness of mental health and of the 3,318 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2019. As part of the challenge, we completed a massive 51,703 pushups and raised $3,372 for mental health and suicide prevention. We’re very proud to have been involved in this event and thank everyone who participated in the challenge and all those who donated! Thanks for your support and generosity. From now until Christmas our focus has shifted as we support Angels Community Group’s Santa Assistance Program, which provides hampers and toys to families in need. We are extremely proud to be supporting this very worthy cause and you will
For our honorary life and full members, our Annual General Meeting date has been set for Monday, 11 October 2021. The notice will be displayed at reception and on Facebook in the coming weeks which will include further information for the meeting and Management Committee positions being vacated for this election. ITALIAN CHOIR The Waves Italian Choir have been busy rehearsing and will be holding a performance on Sunday, 26 September on The Waves' main stage.
The choir pride themselves on maintaining the culture and influence of 'the old country' with much of their song repertoire sung in the Italian language.
The Italian Choir are very pleased to have welcomed some new members to their group this year with new members always welcome.
