Welcome to our August/September edition of ClubChat. I am hoping the colder weather is now behind us and we start to see the beautiful weather that truly makes the Sunshine Coast the best place on Earth to live, work and play. From our perfect beaches to our pristine hinterland, the Sunshine Coast has so much to offer. Here at The Waves Club Caloundra, we are proud to be part of that offering, with two of the best bowling greens on the coast, undercover car parking, café operating seven days, spacious and relaxed dining atmosphere, modern contemporary gaming lounge that offers privacy with 69 of the latest gaming machines. Our bistro is open seven days per week for lunch and dinner and offers a good variety of meals for all to enjoy from $12.50 lunches to a la carte restaurant quality meals at a very competitive price. There is sure to be something for everyone on our menu. Our team of highly qualified chefs also create amazing specials that are available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for lunch and dinner. Over the next two months we will be supporting our seniors by offering our lunch time specials to our members that have a valid seniors card for only $9.50. This will be available from Mondays to Saturday, lunch only. We are proud of our team here at The Waves. They are our unsung heroes of the business that turn up to work each and every day and ensure you, our members are afforded excellent customer service and top quality products that each and everyone enjoys. To show them how much we appreciate them, we have re-introduced our Employee of the month program to recognise and reward our team members. I have the pleasure to announce our winners for May and June. Our May Employee of the Month is Michele F, and our June Employee of the Month is Brett K (KB). Congratulations to both employees and to the entire team here at The Waves Club Caloundra for an amazing job over the past 12 months.

We are launching a brand new promotion from Monday, 1 August called Spring Cash Carnival, replacing Waves of Cash. This promotion will run throughout August and September and will be a gaming only promotion. Members will have the chance to share in $10,000 cash over two months. Please see page 5 for more information. This month we are introducing two new RTD’s. Brookvale Union Spiced Rum Ginger Beer and Brookvale Union Lemon, Lime & Bitters. Brookvale describe the spiced ginger beer as “Everyone's favourite ginger beer, mixed with spiced rum and lime. It's recipe was developed in the future to be sent back in time to save the human race from when the machines become conscious”, and their lemon, lime and bitters as “Classic yet classy, easy but fresh, breezy but smooth, bitter but sweet – just great tasting Vodka Lemon Lime Bitters!”. We will let you our members decide, and please let us know your thoughts. As you read through this edition you will see that we offer more than just a club. We offer the whole community the opportunity to enjoy some of the best entertainment here on the coast, including a barefoot bowls, bingo, promotions, gaming, food, beverage and live entertainment.
