Wānaka will host an elite field of multisport athletes for the HiveEnergy Challenge Wānaka Multi on 18 October, now celebrating its sixth year.
Flavio Vianna, Catherine Atkinson, Morne Pienaar, and Sam Pearce. They’ll be joined by exciting new competitors, including multisport legend Elina Ussher and Coast to Coast Two-Day Champion Emily Trevail and Courtney Hawke ensuring a high-calibre field.“
The event has become a key early-season hit-out for those preparing for Coast to Coast or adventure races like Godzone. The race continues to grow, with the duathlon category up 40% and individual multisport entries increasing more than 10%, cementing its place as a spring highlight for competitive athletes. Competitors tackle Wānaka’s stunning terrain, trails, and lakefront, testing fitness, nutrition, and equipment - making it the perfect preparation for bigger events later in the season.
