Hey Ewe, it’s Showtime! The countdown is on for this year’s Wānaka A&P Show, returning this Friday and Saturday with two days of entertainment, competitions, and rural showcases. This year’s Show introduces the NZ Life & Leisure Local Larder, a must-visit for food lovers, featuring top artisan producers, local distilleries, and wineries. Enjoy delicious platters while browsing, or sip on a drink as celebrity chef Peter Gordon takes the stage for two daily cooking demonstrations - a budget and food-waste-friendly session at 10.30am, and a luxury restaurant-style showcase at 1.30pm. The brand-new Agri Exchange is set to be a hub of innovation, connecting future thinkers in farming
and rural life. A lineup of exhibitors will share ideas and explore real-world solutions, with Dr John Roche presenting the MPI Science for Farmers initiative at 2pm on Friday, turning cutting-edge research into practical farming tools. All the crowd favourites are back - livestock and home industry competitions, two entertainmentpacked stages, the Farmlands Farmyard, and the Petfirst Veterinary Jack Russell Race, alongside plenty of family-friendly activities. With so much to see and do, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Gates open at 8.30am, with Parkand-Ride services available from Three Parks and opposite the Medical Centre, plus dedicated bike parking for those cycling to the Show.
