The 2025 Quality of Life Survey is now open, and local organisations like Community Link are urging residents to take part. This annual survey, run by Queenstown Lakes District Council since 2018, helps gauge how people feel about housing, health services, transport, employment, the environment, and sense of community. The insights are vital for planning programmes that truly meet local needs. “Understanding what matters most to our community means we can design services that make a real difference,” says Kate Murray, General Manager of Community Link. “Your feedback is incredibly important to strengthening our community.” One example is our Foodbank service, which supports
families facing a tough time. Data from the survey helps us anticipate demand and improve access to essential services like this, ensuring everyone has support when they need it. The survey is open to residents over 18, and takes 15 20 minutes, and responses are anonymous. It closes at 5.00pm on Sunday, 16 November. Community Link has hard copies and iPads available for anyone without online access and will ensure completed surveys reach council on time. Just pop in, fill it in and we’ll take it from there. To make it easier, join us for Seniors Coffee Connection morning tea on Monday, 10 November at the Wānaka Community Hub and enjoy a cuppa on us, and complete the survey while you’re there.
