A weekend of locally inspired food workshops for all! Celebrate the bounty of the Southern Lakes at the Wao Autumn Harvest Festival 2025, a season-long tribute to our region’s fresh and foraged produce. Running from March through May, the festival features a variety of workshops, events, tours, and farmers' markets across the district. On Saturday, 15 March, from 10.00am to 3.00pm, join the Local Food Wanaka Group at the Luggate Hall for Wānaka’s beloved 9th Annual Apple Drive. This fun, hands-on community event celebrates the autumn fruit harvest with activities like making chutney, apple sauce, and juice together. Whether you’re a seasoned preserver or a beginner, you’re sure to have a great time. Everyone leaves with fresh apple juice and delicious preserves. No registration is required; a $5 cash entry is appreciated.
