this Rotary Booksale looks set to be the biggest yet!
The Wanaka Rotary Club’s 22nd Spring Booksale opens this Friday, 3 October at 10 am and runs through until Sunday 5 October. The Spencer Mall will host what is undoubtedly Rotary’s biggest sale yet of pre-loved books. The Rotary team have been collecting and sorting sale items for 10 weeks and are staggered by the generosity of Wanaka folk. The quantity of book donations has at times challenged the sorters’ stamina, and the quality has been outstanding. Thousands of nearly new novels are on sale promising great holiday reading.
The donations of books on art feature such treasures as a pristine copy of Rei Hamon’s Artist of the New Zealand Bush and a lovely copy of Kiwis with paintings by Raymond Chin.

It has been a busy week for Wanaka Police with a number of thefts, damage and disorder. A black Specialized Epic mountain bike was taken last week from outside Relishes cafe.
