The Lake Hāwea Community Centre brings you their first big fundraising event for the year on Saturday, 22 February from 7.00pm: Bevan Gardiner: Denver and Beyond, featuring special guest James Davy. Bevan and James are a lively acoustic duo, playing incredible versions of the greatest country and rock’n’roll songs. Bevan is known for his musical likeness to John Denver, touring the show 'Take Me Home', around NZ and Australia many times. He has opened for Scottish singer songwriter Isla Grant and country legend Charlie Pride. James has supported country artists like Bevan, Jeff Rae, Suzanne Prentice, Garry Morris and Craig Adams.
Together these talented musicians have been entertaining audiences around Aotearoa for 16 years. Be captivated by Bevan’s outstanding vocals and James’s electrifying lead guitar work. Bevan and James can really get a dance floor pumping with their driving rhythmic guitars and foot stomp. Be treated to an intimate but rollicking night of entertainment, with extended invitations to sing along and get up and dance! Come for a big night out in Hāwea, experience the Lake Hāwea Community and its community-run Centre.
