Presented by Wanaka Concert Society in partnership with Chamber Music NZ New Zealand pianist Tony Chen Lin returns home from his Budapest base with Hungarian cellist Balázs Dolfin for a special performance at the Lake Wānaka Centre at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 25 August. This dynamic duo presents a diverse and fascinating programme that includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Zoltán Kodály, Belá Bartók and Gao Ping Balázs Dolfin began playing at age four and quickly rose to prominence, winning national and international competitions. He studied at Hungary’s Liszt Academy and later at the University for Music and Performing Arts Munich, where he earned his Master’s with distinction.
and has received several prestigious awards. Tony, also winning multiple awards, including first place at the New Zealand National Concerto Competition, holds a Master of Music and Konzertexamen from the Hochschule fur Musik Freiburg and regularly performs across Europe and New Zealand.
