This family favourite event sees friends get together to form cabin crews that create innovative, hilarious and downright ridiculous cardboard boats and race them against each other in the lake – for fun, a good laugh, and epic prizes. So, jump on board, we would love to see lots of boats on the water! Boat Building for Youth: We are holding a boat building day for youth aged 11-18 years. All equipment necessary to build a nautical masterpiece is provided. Monday, 10 October, 10.30am-3.00pm at Kahu Youth, at 11 Russell St. New Youth Space: Kahu Youth is thrilled to be nominated as a primary tenant for the new community hub at the old Mitre10 building.
We encourage each cardboard boat crew to create their own give a little page to help us fundraise for our new youth space. We hope to gain support from our community as little things make big things happen!
