The store opened on 2nd July in the new Three Parks area. The new store has customer parking available and a place to easily drop off donated goods. On opening day, the Wanaka & District Lions Club ran a BBQ and Shieldy was out entertaining the 100 customers that came through the doors. Family Stores are a great place to donate household goods, clothing and furniture - and to buy them at an accessible price. The goods sold instore make a huge difference to people’s lives, with profits supporting our local and regional community work. Currently, The Salvation Army has a case worker/ positive lifestyle facilitator available in Wānaka providing a range of services including welfare support, advocacy and a positive lifestyle programme, which encourages participants to explore and reflect
