HĀWEA DISTRICT ANZAC DAWN SERVICE

ANZAC Day, Tuesday 25 April: The Hāwea District ANZAC Committee and Hāwea Community Association invite you to the ANZAC Dawn Service at the ANZAC Peninsula on the Lake Hāwea Dam at 7am. The ceremony will begin with Hāwea Flat School pupils performing a haka pōwhiri and karakia, followed by the symbolic thunderclap, the Call to Commemoration, the pupils singing a waiata, Guest Speaker, the reading of the Roll of Honour and the placing of Crosses for our fallen, the laying of wreaths, the readings of a prayer, a poem, and the Ode, Last Post and Reveille, and the two National Anthems.
