The Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is coming to Pembroke Park, Wanaka, on March 18-19, and the call is on people and teams to register. The Relay for Life event aims to ''celebrate, remember, and fight back'' against cancer and is an inspiring and fun community event for people of all ages and fitness levels. Event and Campaigns Co-ordinator Nicole Rushbrook encourages people to register for this fun event. Participants will camp around a set track and walk (or run) in relay style for 20 hours from 3:00 pm until 11:00 am, all to the backdrop of local entertainers and supports. Cancer Society’s marketing and fundraising manager, Jonet Warhurst, said, "we are thrilled that Mitre 10 MEGA Wanaka are again onboard as a Major Partner and Mediaworks plus Stonewood Homes are gold partners.
