Cancer Society is always pleased to see the continued support in various forms from the Wanaka community. This year our local schools - Holy Family Catholic School, Te Kura O Take Karara and Mount Aspiring College are observing mufti day on 25 August 2022, along with a bake sale and Shave for a Cure. It's not too late for our other schools or daycares to join in. Pembroke Patisserie is once again going to donate $1 from each Custard Slice they sell in the month of August . Fundraiser movie - titled See How They Run is being organised in collaboration with Cinema Paradiso.
We need volunteers to cover the stations in different locations - Paper Plus, New World Wanaka, New World Three Parks, Mitre 10, and Wanaka Medical Centre. Each location requires 2 volunteers every hour for health and safety protocols. If anyone would like to donate a prize for raffle ticket sales, we would welcome the generosity with open arms.
