orrevieja Council is investing an additional e7 million into the port area, bringing the total investment to e21 million. This significant financial commitment is aimed at preparing the area for the highly anticipated opening of a new leisure centre in the upcoming summer.

To ensure that the new leisure centre's opening coincides with a revitalized port area, the council has initiated three key projects: New Wastewater Pumping Station: This essential infrastructure upgrade is necessary to accommodate the increased water volume generated by the new leisure centre. The project, budgeted at e449,198.61, will involve constructing a new pumping station capable of efficiently handling the additional wastewater load. Electrical Upgrades: To power the new leisure centre and other facilities in the port area, the council is investing e3,627,872.40 in electrical upgrades.
