NEW POLICE HIGH COMMAND APPOINTMENTS

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Trevor “Buju’ Bailey, unless a change is made, is expected to continue to head the crime fighting machinery of the Police Force. by KENVILLE HORNE ON TUESDAY 5TH MAY, 2026, Minister of National Security St. Clair Leacock announced that a

series of changes, primarily among the high command, “will shortly be made in the Royal SVG Police Force.” And while he spoke to increasing numbers as per some of the offices, he stopped short of naming any officers who might be promoted. This did not stop speculation among the public. Minister Leacock, however, promised to address the appointments in a very short time from the date of the initial announcements. In keeping to his word, the National Security Minister announced the appointments last Wednesday, May 13, during a broadcast on the state-owned NBC radio. Among the more exciting announcements was the promotion of the Bailey brothers - Assistant Commissioner of Police Trevor ‘Buju” Bailey and Superintendent of Police (SoP) Dwayne Bailey, currently serving as Superintendent of Prison - to fill two posts of
