Commissioner of Police Enville Williams has cautioned a leading attorney here about making statements about questionable actions by police officers as it relates to guns turned in to the Police Force.

Commissioner Trevor ‘Buju’ Bailey, with responsibility for crime fighting is believed by a wide cross-section of the population, to be in line to fill the new Deputy Commissioner position. by KENVILLE HORNE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER and Minister of National Security St. Clair Leacock has announced a series of changes primarily among the high command of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF).
This action, Minister Leacock noted, signaled the government’s intent to reform law enforcement; and to broaden efforts to strengthen national security and restore public confidence in law enforcement following the New Democratic Party’s electoral victory. The announcement comes amid
growing public calls for changes among the top ranks of the Police Force, and for improvements generally in the operations and performance of the Police, as obtained under the previous administration. Continued on Page 3.
COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ENVILLE WILLIAMS has refuted the statement made by attorney at law Grant Connell which suggests that illegal firearms, when turned into the police, are returned to the streets.
